This is such a happy, positive community and I love how we all have so much in common. Sometimes when I'm reading people's posts, it sounds exactly like me talking! I'm still a lurker but I wanted to mark my spot and ask a few questions. I'm finally down below my pre-Thanksgiving weight and I've learned the hard way that alcohol REALLY sets me back, almost 4 days (only 2 screwdrivers!). I'm nervous as we are going to a Las Vegas Night party this weekend and then my company holiday party is right around the corner. I am really going to try and resist, it is not worth it!

So, I'm VLCDR1D30 and I'm down a little more than 22 lbs. I am planning on going the full 40 days, I just love the diet, I feel so energized, happy and skinny. I don't mind the food at all, it's so easy when you are restricted, otherwise I go out of control. I know that some of you have gone past the 40 days, I just ordered new drops and I want to just keep it going until I reach my goal. What are your thoughts?

Have a great day!

Suzanne
Welcome Suzanne! I agree that this is a great positive place to learn and to share... you are doing awesome!!! Congrats!!

My plan is also to continue onto goal, as long as that takes... I know the drops will get me there! So good luck to ya! Please post often!!

Dessa's post about us all being LOSERS may me smile and so did reading about how everyone else is doing well learning how their bodies adjust on HCG!
I am happy to report that after my lunch at Zaxby's and fried ranch chicken wings for supper, I am down .6 of a pound. Going to be a bit more careful today because the scale may reflect my higher calorie day yesterday, tomorrow when I get on it. I dont know yet. I am still really new to this.

Here's saying THANKS for cheering me up...now...back to work! Happy releasing everyone!
YEAH! you had a loss after eating out that is wonderful!! I am sorry you needed a break, but yeah Dessa is a crack up!.. Love her positive attitude!! Now we need PATI BACK!... she is always good for a laugh or three...

Chantyl and Marci too!.. where are you girls! .. all of my funny, positive buddies need to keep on posting and all you NEW FOLKS TOO!!!!.. lets have some fun when we are getting this dreaded fat off.....

Good Morning!!! I am up to 233 today TOM started so maybe that is why, I am sticking to plan, and still feel really good. I am going to change my dosing, I usually dose 10 drops 5:30 AM, 2:00 PM, 1000:PM, but am thinking of going six drops five times as day instead and keep the HCG levels more constant. Maybe that will help this little stall. I refuse to turn back!

Sneaking in a quick post at work!

Down 4 today, so maybe I'm just holding water like crazy. Is is possible to gain 20 pounds in 5 days? I still think the scales have issues.

I'm going more strict, no fruit and lower calories until I get moving better. Back to no diet soda (sob!) but I want to get to goal, or at least through the 200's.

I don't get TOM thanks to the Mirena, maybe I got double whammied since this is the time of the month I usually would get TOM and then the 5 day pig out over Thanksgiving....just doesn't add up.

BUT I found a good bargain on Low Carb Slim-Fast shakes at our 99 Cent store! They are $.69 each!!! I do like a shake sometimes, so for 2 carbs, I bought 30!

Good morning!

to Adrienne and other newbies!! It's a happy, melting group we have here!! And to be facing, struggling, resisting and succeeding in December? We're amazing!! I know, kinda' vain throwing myself in there, but it's hard!! Even rogue it's hard to not eat what everyone else is eating!! LOL!

Thin-that's great!! You're losing so well!!

Colleen-hang in there. You'll be losing "new" weight soon!!

Suzanne-I say go until you can't take it anymore . I usually get frustrated when I stall and am being very "good". So I take a break, reset my body, and start again. If you feel good and are still losing, go for it!!

Deep-I'm not a Dr., but Dr. Atkins was a cardiologist. Many people experience lowered cholesterol while following the Atkins eating plan. You should do some research on it, because it does fly in the face of most medical advice. I'm not a huge fan of Dr's giving a lot of nutritional advice with very little actual knowledge of nutrition and pharmaceutical manufacturers greasing their pockets. It's kinda' a tough spot they're in, expected to be experts when they have very little actual training in food and nutrition. Hopefully you'll find the balance that works for you.

Deb!! Hope you're doing well!! On to goal for you!!

I'm down to a new low this year at 156.4 this morning!! I think my body really needed that break for vacation and was really scared to let go of any more weight. I can't believe I was up to 166.8 on Monday morning and it's only Friday!! I hHCG!!! Even though I know it was mostly water weight at that point, it's still so exciting to see the scale reward my efforts!! So, on to 155 by Christmas seems very doable at this point. Then I need to maintain it through the actual holiday.

So, my current plan, unless I decide to change it is to stick to the VLC plan (500-800cals/day) until I stall out. Then bump it up to higher cals, but still LC for a few days, 2-3, around 1200cals. Then lower again and see if I can lose a bit more. We'll see what my body thinks this cycle!! It's kinda' fun to experiment, even when you're not losing, but it's REALLY fun to experiment when you find something that works for you.

Paula-what do you think of your 5/2 plan? Are you bumping it up for the weekend? How's it going? I am considering this, but scared since I'm actually losing pretty well right now.

Have a great day, and weekend if I don't see you!!

I think your scale needs a serious butt kicking! Sounds crazy to me!

Congrats to all the releasers, welcome to outing lurkers and hello to everyone.

I get to whine again today (oops, I mean vent). 4th day in a row at 154 (back to 154.8). I can't believe nothing is happening - though my waist measurement is back up to 35 again. This is only vlcd 6.

I guess being ill really does make you retain lots of water. My fingers aren't puffy but my face is puffy every morning. Plus I've ovulated a day or two ago. Next week has got to be better, right? I am not giving up yet!

Well tonight the P3 part resumes early, as I've got a pseudo date with hubby (dd11 going also as ds14 will be at band competition). Going to Cotton Patch. I'll restart my vlcd's Monday.

Julie I'm thinking my plan sucks right now, but maybe next week I'll be rewarded. I am going to continue to Christmas, and then I can make a full comparison between rounds and see how my overall results are.

Hello all my dear HHcg friends--First off I want to thank everyone here for the support I got after Thanksgiving--you guys really helped me not give up--Second of all, I want to tell everyone that I lost 1.5 yesterday to get into HHCG virgin fat territory--I am loving the pellets--they give me much better appetite suppression than the drops did--Still facing some challenges with holiday events/parties over the next few weeks--but will manage.

I have a question. When people go into P3 they stop the HHCG. Why? I love not feeling hungry. Why not use this forever and ever more every day???? I feel that in my eating life, hunger has always been my enemy. Is there a reason to stop? I know with regular hcg you are supposed to become immune, but is that the case with the homeopathic version? What sayest thou all?

I agree, and they are new scales.

Hang in there. Maybe weather has something to do with water retention? I always seem puffy in cold weather.

I must say, this took at LEAST a week...maybe, I don't know, it's kind of a blur now. However, since I have been following along/lurking since-what?-late August, I feel like I have been here all along. Well, I guess I have, just a little behind the times.

Anywayyyyy, my story: After hopping on the scale after a long time in denial, I was to discover I was at my highest weight.....EVERRRRRRR! Booooo!! I had been researching HCG for over a month - obsessively - and had already bought the HCG and was ready to start. Just to clarify, I was not in so much denial that I did not know I needed to lose weight , I just did not expect to see the numbers I saw on the scale. But I chose to realize that, like it or not, this is where I am and that I cannot go back into the past I can only move forward.

So forward I marched, with HCG (RX) under the tongue! I began my load days on November 13th but did not gain or lose anything during those two days so I just called my start on November 15th.

My stats: Start: 248.2
Today VLCD 18: 231.4

Total loss thus far: 16.8#

I did strict, by the book for about the first 10 days but I was so hungry. I would make it through most of the day doing fine, then after dinner....it was torture. It was like a massive case of poision ivy just irritating me alll night long. So because I was so hungry, it would be all I could think about - food, food, food, food. Grrrrrrrr!!!!

I, too, was skeered to death to deviate from the protocol. In fact, I was just waiting to gain weight from just thinking about it.....NONSTOP.....every night!!!!! Seriously, it was ridiculous. I may be fat, but I have NEVER obbsessed about food like I did when I was on strict protocol. Add to that being tired and weak and dizzy...ugh!

So we just happened to be moving one day, and the weakness, dizziness and cramping became so severe from the exertion that I deviated from protocol by adding a little protein, mixing vegs and adding a little fat. I have never looked back. I was so happy to discover fellow rogues. So, I have found my home, if you'll have me! You are all so honest and kind and encouraging and inspiring. Feels like we are all trying to achieve the same goal and we can truly be ourselves in here without feeling like we are doing something wrong because we are listening to our bodies and doing what works for our individual needs. That is a true blessing and something I know I need, as I am sure many people who are trying to lose weight need. We are so often our own worst critics and we beat ourselves up enough. No outside intervention required!!!

I very much look forward to being here with all of you fine ladies!! So nice to have met you all!!
Adrienne, based on your amazing post I can't help but ask: Are you my long long twin sister!! B/C I soooo could've written your experience verbatim!!!

Welcome and glad you're here!!

Since beginning doing the drops on November 13th I have not really lost any weight. I started out on November 15th at 159 and am 157 this morning. While that is two pounds I have been fluctuating like that since August. It took me from January to the end of July to get out of the 160's. Since August I have fluctuated between 159-155 (only seeing that a handful of days), mostly my fluctuations have been between 157-159. I have lost about 16 inches overall this year though and have gone from a size 14 to 10.

I am still taking the drops two times a day (most days). When I take them two times during the day I am not really hungry at all which isn't necessarily a great thing because I wasn't too hungry before. I always vent that I am frustrated and I continue to be. In the past year since I began this journey my biggest mess up was drinking Amaretto with diet soda and not realizing how high in carbs it was. Other than that I have been low carb the entire time. When I say low I cycle between VLC to about 50 or 60 some days.

So I continue on.........

I happen to agree with you... WHY NOT?... I don't like being hungry either.. so until someone shows me a REAL REASON not to, I'm on them for the forseeable future..

Thanks, guys---I will certainly try and post more often :-)

I agree, I am going to stay on these drops until I reach my goal and maybe even after to control hunger.

My co-worker loved my progress and has ordered the drops, it will be nice to have a diet buddy in the office. Here at work, they have filled the breakroom with what they call, 'healthy snacks'-granola bars, applesauce, raisins, low calorie snack cookies, vitamin water, etc. I love my job for thinking of us, but I can't eat any of those things and they are really not that healthy! I'm going to push for fresh fruit.

Great job, everyone and hang in there---even a small drop is an improvement!

Did you have a prolonged period in the past that you weighed 157-159 range? I know the manuscript speaks of set points.

You seem to be losing inches more than weight, which in reality is a good thing. You are close to goal, so I would imagine it will be much slower (although Jan-July is also painfully slow to lose 10 pounds) Are you older? Menopausal? Hypothyroid?

I am once again hovering around the 165 mark and cannot seem to break through. I will continue on. I briefly saw 162 back in October and would LOVE to see the 150's by New Years Day. I think I need more VLC days since most of mine are just low carb days that are higher in calories.

These are my numbers just from October 9th with some notes next to them for my own benefit:

9-Oct 155.5
10-Oct 156.5 Went to the Y yesterday
11-Oct 157.5 TOM started
12-Oct 157
14-Oct 157
17-Oct 156.5
26-Oct 160
28-Oct 158
30-Oct 156
5-Nov 159 TOM Started
11-Nov 156.5
15-Nov 159 Started Hhcg drops on 11/13
17-Nov 157.5
18-Nov 157.5
22-Nov 157
30-Nov 158.5 TOM Started
2-Dec 157
3-Dec 157

The one thing that I did notice is that before I started back to the Y my numbers were 155.5-156.5 for a while. My weight usually jumps up with my period and that is inconsistent anymore.

I am 43 and do not know if I have any thyroid problems. I suspect I do but my symptoms are not your typical being exhausted signs. The slow weight loss would be the main one.

Don't get me wrong, I feel good eating low carb. There have been many positives for me over this past year including finally after almost 9 years of being on sleeping medicines I am able to sleep with just taking melatonin and no other prescription sleep aids. That was huge. My migraines are limited anymore, except this week.

I do know that the drops definitely make me feel a lot less hunger.

Popping over to say congrats Julie! And I love the new avatar

Hey Ladies!

I started taking the hhcg drops on Tuesday and I am down almost 10 pounds this week! I was pretty carbed up from Thanksgiving week, but I am just glad to see the scale moving down instead of going up!

I am eating closer to the Omaha Med Spa plan, but I have had about 1/8c. cheddar cheese with dinner the last two nights and I am eating a little more than 7 oz. of protein a day like the Omaha plan requires.

Amazed!

Just had to post that today is first VLCD for me but just after eating two days of CRAP loading...like pizza and Costco hot dogs...I was DOWN 2.5 lbs this morning. That is just plain crazy LOL LOL

Just saying...I think this might be my miracle I have prayed for my whole life and I am being serious. I have laid in bed at night literally crying because I have been eating 800-900 calories a day and working out 6 days a week and can't budge a pound.

Hope everyone has a great day and I am excited to see what the next week brings to me.

Jackie
