I actually wasn't going "rogue" on purpose, but back then HCG wasn't as mainstream as it is now. Nobody really discussed doing the diet, so I just went off what I heard others were doing.
Here is what I was doing and what I am going to do on this round:
1. Consume 600-700 calories. I went over that quite a few times.
2. I stopped weighing my protein. Hand size is fine.
3. Eat extra protein if needed.
4. Always mixed my veggies.
5. I had up to 2 diet sodas a day.
6. Did not stop using my shampoo and lotions.

It worked for me and I stabilized fine. I figure why fix it when it's not broken!
I did a LOT of the same things! I've been on it more or less since mid March of this year.

I didn't do that many diet sodas because of the aspartame, but did drink Zevia once in awhile or Diet Rite made with Splenda. Also do plenty of iced tea, esp. in the summer ... now more hot teas tho!

Also added coconut oil and mct oil. Kept up with my supplements, drank lots of water, mixed veggies and added more kinds of them, added berries of all kinds too.

It only took me two weeks of being strict to bail out of THAT box!!

I started HCG at around 218. I am currently ranging between 152-148. I have maintained this weight for about a year. Hopefully, my goal for this final round is to reach the 130s by New Year's.
I wanted to post with this group, because I have NEVER done the protocol exactly by the book.

So I just wanted to introduce myself to you guys and I look forward to speaking with all of you!
YES!! you are our long termer .. I was hoping you would pop back in! Thanks for coming in and please post a lot! Everyone could use your expertise here.. and I know you told us your tweaks before as I have reposted them in one of these threads.. but so happy to have you!!!

I'm doing well. No loss today, but no bernice for a few days and eating out probably is never a good idea while I'm trying to lose. I hope the scale goes down some more tomorrow. We'll see. Still excited to be at goal, and even more excited at the possibility of seeing the 140's as an adult!! I can't imagine!!

A neat thing I did yesterday was to check my "ideal" weight for my frame (large) and height. Apparently I am no longer "overweight"!! I was kinda' in shock when I read that. I've been overweight, obese really, all my life. I am so happy. I'm in my "ideal weight range" according to this site. Most sites recommend I lose a bit lower, but they don't take into account your frame size. I'm big boned and pretty muscular, which helps hide the weight when I'm heavy, but makes me weigh more when I lose. Anyway, just thought I'd share that!!
WOW JULIE!! no more overweight.. that is awesome!! I love hearing how you are doing, and how it feels "down there in the 50's" .. Even though you are at goal, please keep us company here and let us know how you are doing... so many people are headed your way!.. It's nice to have something to look forward to...

Didn't notice one way or the other ... just figured if I was 'allowed' strawberries, I could have ALL the berries!

Thank you for all replies. I am getting ready to begin my own experiment with the Hcg Pearls from my Dr for 30 days. When the 30 days is complete, I will then try the same exact rogue method of eating w/ hhcg and see which I have the best results with.
I am one who suffers with hypothyroidism and menopause related slow metabolism.
I guess the reason I was curious is that I would like to know how others who are doing rogue w/ rx hcg do?

I am a slow loser even when being very true to protocol. I did this with rx hcg, strict protocol of 500 cal, no fat or carbs and although it is tough, it is worth the results. I was so thrilled with the results that it inspired me to keep going. I just need to keep the same meticulous records and then I can share my results.

Just checking in, haven't posted a reply in a while. So I started around Nov 17th at 193 and the lowest I got to was 180.2 which was on Friday. Went out for Thai and was at 181.2 the next morning (I expected it so wasn't a biggy), decided to do a low cal/carb day so just had coffee, a shrimp louie salad, had a pear w/ brie and was hungry later in the night so had 2 cups of low sodium chicken broth. This morning was at 182.6!! Why?!?! My cals were around 800 and carbs at 40 or so. Needless to say I was grumpy about that and still am...which lead to baking cookies...and eating cookies UGHHHHH!!

I'm DYING to get under 180, I saw 179 ONE time a few months ago and just seem to be STUCK at 180-185. I'm considering doing the protocal for 2 weeks to see if that does anything cause I'm starting to get frustrated

done with the rant =D

LOL! Thanks!! This is my original goal. The Goal weight I hit once, and never thought I'd see again. Now that I know how to do it , I am gonna' try for the 140's now . Ideally mid 140's so I can maintain in the high 140's. We'll see. I feel really good now, and am still trying to lose some more for a cushion before Christmas. I gained 0.2 this morning, so don't know if this is the beginning of my stall, or if I am just paying for eating out yesterday. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I did a bit higher cals today, all legal though. about 800-900cals.

Good for you coming here to vent!! I'd be frustrated and bummed too. Well, hopefully the carb load will lead to a reinvigorated loss this week for you! You're so close!! I think your little gain today is still from the Thai. Usually the 2 day rule applies to indulgences. I will pay for a slip for 2-3 days. Protocol is nice because it's so strict and structured. That works sometimes too.

I'm heading up to bed. Baked all day long today, didn't even lick my fingers once!! I made so many goodies, most of my favorites and not one bite!! I'm an all or nothing girl . I am gonna' freeze a few of my real faves for Christmas day and let myself have a treat. I know it'll mess me up on my P3 break, but I'll be back on low cals that next week.
