Favorite type of apple?

I think, so far, mine are jongold or fuji. I had a goldencrisp this morning but it just didn't have that 'snap' I like.

Tomorrow I will have a red delicious and see how that rates.
You?

The biggest ones ever made! Those are my favorites. They tend to be Fujis

Zestars, Haralson and sometimes Honeycrisp. I find Honeycrisps to be a little too sweet (and overpriced) and like Zestars better. Any thing tarter and not mealy! The 'delicious' apples are at the bottom of my list.

My favorite year round apple is a Fuji. It's sweet, a bit tart and super crisp. My apples must be crisp - bordering on hard. I can not stand a soft mealy apple.

But, for those few months when Honeycrisp apples are available, I eat those. They're crazy overprices but, just sooo delicious!

Galas! Definitely galas. Jonagold come in second. Honeycrisp are good if they are crisp, but not good enough (to me) to justify the price. But, I had to try them since everyone else gives them such rave reviews.

Fuji for delicious applesauce. I've been eating Red Delicious, but they're disappointingly mealy.

I am making a list and I want to try all of these. I have a lot of apples to eat over the next 11 days.
I am actually enjoying them so much that I might continue an apple a day through the VLC Phase 2 (I have never done apples on LC and TBH I didn't think I liked apples that much)
DH and I are going to Jungle Jims on my last weekend, or at least my last scheduled weekend, and I am going to pic up a bunch of different types that I can't find at Kroger or Walmart. Other stuff too, of course, treats for my P2, but right now I am really interested in those apples!

For those who don't know JJs is a HUGE international market that has everydangthing! Google it~I am getting my parents and MIL deli & cheese gift baskets from there for Christmas!

I had a red deicious today. Not on my list of apples to have again. I think my mom always bought RDs and that was why I thought I didn't like apples.

I like pink ladies, jazz and gala but I like them with peanut butter so I rarely eat them. Alone they are too sweet for me.

I think next P2 I am going to bake some with cinnamon and Splenda, perfect for December. See how I like it that way.

I bought a honeycrisp in Seattle's Pike Market and they are as big as my husbands fist! Huge! Too much apple...ours are little here.lol And way to sweet for my taste buds.

Depends on the time of day
LOVE it every morning on the scale.
Hate it every time I see a food commercial or think about thanksgiving dinner.

and reeely hate it for about a half an hour before every meal.

I am lucky in that I actually like all the foods on the plan. It gives me more variety than if I were picky.
