Getting ready to start and have questions.
I should receive my drops from Netrition tomorrow.
![]() Pardon me if I sound like a Newby.. because I am. I reach Simeon's .PDF book and have read a lot on this site. 1) How often do I take these drops? 2) Does everyone here cycle on and off.. So round 1, then 6 weeks off? What do you do during the time off? Low carb? Then round 2, 8 weeks off.. so on? Just wanted to make sure I'm understanding that. 3) what do all the acronyms mean in your signatures? 4) I am suppose to start TOM any time now.. I guess I should hold off until that is done with? TIA for answering my silly questions. |

Welcome to HCG.
1. varies..I do 10 drops 3x daily. I have seen some doing 6 drops 6x day. It is trial and error, whatever works best for you and your hunger pangs. 2. There are those doing Simeon protocol and others doing non-protocol. I will be doing strictly by the P&I this (my 1st) time. 3. ? anything in particular? 4. Yea, no more Tom for me but you start your drops 10 days before or 3 days after it shows up. I am sure many more will respond, this is my first go at the hcg diet. I began today with loading and my drops. I plan to do the 23 day round and see how it goes. Today was okay, not overdoing the eating but enjoying what I ate. I am also busy making all the homemade holiday fudge for Christmas today and tomorrow while I can lick my fingers...LOL

I'm using HCG Fusion from netrition and it came with a tiny brochure that had instructions.
I started what ended up being 3 days before TOM and today is day 7 that I've been taking the HCG Fusion - TOM is just ending and I'm down 11 pounds from last Tuesday. So I'd say go ahead and start when you get them (but that's just me and I'm a newbie, too!!) TOM did come 2 days early so I had not planned it but TOM did not seem to stall anything. I'm doing 8 drops, 3 times a day. When I wake up, before lunch, and before dinner. One thing that I noticed is that I was SUPER thirsty those first few days - that's finally leveled off. I'm sure everyone is different but just in case, be prepared for that and all of the bathroom trips it involves!! My meal plan is a little tweaked from P&I. I'm eating more than 3 oz of chicken for each meal and paring it with a small serving of veggies (so far just broccoli/cauliflower or lettuce). The past 2 days Ive also added some walden farms dressings so that the lettuce and chicken have some sauce!! Hopefully that won't slow things down - I guess I'll find out in the morning! Good questions, I'm new to the hcg diet also. I think the acronyms mean round 1 phase 2 very low carb day 3 but there may be more I'm missing. I've tried to figure it out all last week.
I think we can take the drops throughout TOM, just not the injections. |

Most take there drops 3 times a day I take 10 drops, 3 times a day
If you have alot of weight to lose alot cycle so they do 3 weeks of P3 then go back and start losing again in P2 for another round. R1,R2 is round one, round two and so on P2 is the 500 cal plan P3 is no starches and sugars for 3 weeks P4 is adding it back in. Most of us didnt know when TOM was due so I dont think it will matter if you start now. |

I dose through TOM. It doesn't really affect me much. I also cycle, do interruptions, skip P4, etc. 23 day P2 rounds are easier to handle than longer rounds, IMO, but after a few weeks on P3 I'm ready to start losing again.
VLCD = very low calorie day(s), aka the 500 calorie days. So, R1P2VLCD1 is Round 1, Phase 2, Very Low Calorie Day 1. There is no P1 (that's a detox phase made up by someone else, not Dr. S, and I don't think anyone here follows it) so it is a little confusing. ![]()

Actually vlcd is very low calorie day. This is not really a low carb diet as you can eat whatever you want in P3 except Starches and Sugar and in P4 you add those back in. Its mostly about resetting your hypothalamus. Most importantly...it WORKS!!

I do 8 drops 3X a day, at 6:30 am, 2:00 pm, and about 8:00 pm. I was doing 10 drops
3X a day when I first started but dropped it down to 8 I haven't had any hunger except when close to meal times. |

Mine will depend. If I manage Tday I will probably stop at the 25 day mark (that includes the 2 loading days and 2 post drops days) But if I cave and have Thanksgiving with DH and DS I will go an extra week to be sure I get off any weight I may have gained.

I received my drops today, with a book.
![]() I guess it all depends on when TOM starts. If it's today, I'll start on this Friday. If not soon then I'll have to wait until after the holidays so I'm not doing this while at the in-laws. |

I have no clue when TOM is for me.
I think it should be this week or next. No PMSing though. That is odd for me. (Sorry to TJ, just musing out loud) ANyway, I wouldn't let TOM make that decision unless you are really always hungry or have a really hard time following a meal plan at TOM. Okay, strange for me also. Was PMSing hard but TOM never arrived and I don't think he's going to arrive soon. Therefore, I went ahead and started my drops today.. first pre-load day.
Okay, well my sister-in-law thinks I should take a pregnancy test today.. just to rule that out before I get started. Last edited by RedheadNJ; 11-24-2010 at 06:25 AM.. |

OK...read all day yesterday after everyone left my house after Thanksgiving. I was up into the night getting more and more excited! My DH saw my excitement and we went out today and bought the drops. I am currently on Atkins but am VERY EXCITED to be trying Hhcg. I am planning on starting tomorrow. Also got a digital food scale today. Im a bit overwhelmed, but I guess I will follow protocol. I am afraid of tweaking at least until I see how this is going to work for me. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

Hi Everyone,
I am starting today (with loading) although that scares me a bit, seems crazy but need to follow the rules. Wondering if the pellets (which I have) work even if you follow a low carb or low calorie diet? The main reason I eat is that I just get so hungry and hoping they will help. |

Thanks for bumping these threads!! Great links. Thanks! Nope not pregnant, per home pregnancy test. I have been sick though and can't swallow all that well. I'm going to hold off a bit longer before getting started.

Started day 1!!!
I didn't gain much in the pre-load, even though I really did a number on New Years Eve. |
