I have never really had a lot of hunger suppression from the drops or the shots. Then again, ketosis doesn't give me hunger suppression...but it reduces crazy hunger I got from carbs. I sometimes think those hunger suppression effects are something not everyone will have...or a certain effect of the diet itself. Now, I have found if I don't drink around the drops for longer times, it helps my hunger. I probably drink too much compared to most people, and for some people, that constant drink in your belly triggers insulin or hormonal changes.

Sorry it's not working! Low carbing wasn't working for me for 3 years...which is why I'm doing the low calorie thing my own way. At this point in my life...having something work...even if it's "not healthy" works for me.There is nothing more frustrating than working your plan and not seeing results!

Yesterday all I ate was about 1.5 quarts cream of tomato soup, and today wt up, (salt) but feeling ok with that, it will probably be gone tomorrow. Have decided to go back on the drops, feels like it's about time, and do the hi-lo calorie days. Plan to keep this up til Xmas. Best to everyone, congrats to the big losers.

Hi ladies! Havn't weighed in a few days but plan to in the morning to see how much damage I did the past few days. EEEK!

So, anyhow..........found out yesterday that I'm going to have HCG running through my veins for about the next 9 months. Yeah, it was pretty shocking to say the least. I'm determined to eat healthy though, and not 'eat for two'. I'm aiming to gain the bare minimum while still eating good stuff like quality protein, low sugar fruits, and veggies.

Congrats on your pending addition. I gained 8 lbs during pregnancy and she weighed in at 8.2lbs. This is the main reason I decided to give hHCG a try.

Congrats Thin. It took me a second read to figure out what you were talking about. I thought for a minute you were going to do continue dosing for 9 months or had a huge injection.

Haha, I didn't start figuring it out till after one or two other people had too!
Congrats!

So I'm on my second week of R1 calorie cycling. Deb - I've just begun reading your journal and I'm liking reading about your experiments! Wow girl!

I'm trying a new experiment for my calorie cycling this week - intermittent fasting. Today, I ate ahi tuna, eggs, lots of veggies, 3 servings of fruit, 4 starches, and some very healthy fats - about a 1500 calorie day that was great and satisfying. Tomorrow I'll fast on tea and rice milk, and the next day will be another high day of 1500 calories. So I'll average about 700-800 calories a day, of all the food nutrients I need, which should work out perfectly alongside the hcg. I guess I'm bound to find out.

I'm only weighing after every fast day because there will be fluctuations due to food volume etc., that it won't be worth getting stressed over! I'll finish up the week with my pounds and inches next Saturday, to see how it all worked out.

I decided to start hHCG on Christmas and still have some questions about using toothpaste. So do you guys not follow the protocol about toothpaste? Read somewhere that Mint shouldn't be used because it supposedly takes away the effectiveness of the homeopathic hHCG. Is this correct? Can you weigh in more about the lotions, and cosmetics that some use on this diet during P2? Thank you for you answers.

BTW- I am aware that not everyones response will be the same.

This sounds wonderful!! Thank you for taking the time to read my crazy journal.. I swear I thought at that time I was the only one who was a rebel, and now I am finding folks everywhere who are doing it.. thank goodness for everyone who is coming out and speaking up

I am looking forward to seeing how you do on the intermittent fasting. I have read about it for years, I just have a tough time going a day without food.. all mental I am sure...

Please keep us updated!!

I use the same toothpaste as always, I just brush my teeth much earlier than I take my drops... Not sure it would honestly make any difference, but I can't say for sure.

As for the Cosmetics, I never changed anything. I agree with the doctor who is running the Omaha Weight Loss program that he can find no logical reason for changing cosmetics or getting massages with oils. His studies show no affect on weight loss from these. Of course like you said, YMMV.

Good luck Maggie!

Thanks Deb, I knew you would have some answer because of your experimenting. Someone also said that when they shampoo their hair they just rinse out the shampoo faster than normal, IDK, if others are doing fine without changing anything maybe I will just have to do a trial and error. Thanks again for you prompt response. BTW- Have read through the Omaha Weight Loss plan and I like what is says. I am just biting at the bit to get going and can't wait till Christmas is over with to get started. Hey, I may change my mind once I do, I do that alot!

OH I understand!! Once I decided to go for it, I just had a hard time waiting for my drops!... Timing is very important though, so you are doing a great job gathering info before starting... just figure out what you can stick to, and how strict you want to be. It really is all about trial and error.

If you feel like you need to do the first round by the book, then certainly do it, and then you will know personally what works and what does not for your body. In any case, and no matter what you do, you are welcome here and I know everyone can learn from your experience also! Best of everything to ya Maggie!

Just be sure to gain your minimum for a healthy baby. Think it's 15 pounds? Remember how quickly you can get the weight off afterwards!

So pleased for you! A new addition! Hope it's a wonderful and easy pregnancy and delivery!

Hi Maggie, I did not change my toothpaste but I use cinnamon paste anyways. I also did not change my hair products. I did follow protocol strictly on the first round with respect to food so I knew whether it worked or not for me. It did so its entirely your choice whether to follow everything as written or start tweaking from the beginning. Just remember to record what you are tweaking so you know what to fix if it isn't working. Its hard to figure out what part isn't working if it isn't recorded.

Oy, my head was so not into it this week and I blew it all to Hades.

I am going to kick start with Zero Carb, high protein starting today to get this puffiness off me. Way too much good food over the holiday. Turkey Stuffing is my weakness.

two days of carbs and one day of high fat low carb--weighed myself this morning and I am back where I started two weeks ago, which is making me feel truly crappy. Back to vlcd again today--will see where I end up in a day or two, but I truly hate my nonexistant metabolism. very sad.

My ex-mil and myself have not stopped using our cosmetics, lotions, or toothpaste, and we are both losing magnificently on hHCG. I was going to make a post and say I lost the 4 lbs I gained from Thanksgiving day and a bit more, and I use hHCG. It works well for us. I had bought some natural soap to use and some herbal Tom's deodorant, but I ended up switching back to my regular stuff. I have had no problem. But that is my ex-mil and myself. Others may be more sensitive.

I wish you great success!!!

I did switch to Crest cinnamon and gave up my beloved flat heavy duty mint floss and now I am using the crappy round unflavored floss.
I can't wait to get back to normal just for my dang floss!

I agree with you and the Omaha Weight Loss doctor. I always reason to myself that in the 1940's when Simeon was discovering this, the cosmetics, creams, and lotions were quite possibly made of different stuff then. They may be worse now or they may be better, but I have not stopped using my regular stuff either, and I am having great success.

Thanks for the congrats ladies. We weren't really planning on having another baby but we're happy about it. Dh says we're getting too old for this, but I'm only 32 and he's 34 so I don't know who he's calling old! I honestly believe that the hhcg made me more fertile.......... so watch out!

Nah, you guys are just mere babes!!! I had my second kid when I was 38! You are PERFECT ages for having babies! Old enough to be patient and level headed and experienced and have enough energy to handle it!

CONGRATS!!!

Congratulations!!!!
