Anyone starting today for the first time? 11/13/10

I started my drops and loading today. Just wondered if anyone was starting this journey with me???? December 5th doesn't seem that far away, does it?

Loading so far: donut, Big Mac, fries...

I said goodbye to McDonalds today. Silly as it sounds it was kind of a testament to how strongly I feel about starting and staying on HHCG.

Preparing for next week:

chicken breast, shrimp, radishes, celery, tomatoes, apples, and grapefruit

I'm thinking I will eat 1 fruit mid morning and 1 fruit mid afternoon or at night

I'm hoping there are others starting this journey with me so we can support each other.

Yes Christmas is my big inspiration. We live 6 hours from both our families and we will be seeing them December 23rd. I'm hoping to fit into my "cute" clothes by then.

DH just finished his first 21/23 days of HHCG and lost 20 pounds. He was wearing 3x shirts before and today packed all Extra Larges for his trip. He is beyond thrilled. I'm hoping for so awesome results too!

Homeopathics don't expire. At least that is what I have heard. I just finished up my bottle from my second round just this past round. It was just as good as the round I first opened it. I started my hhcg last June of '09. You can use your old bottle until the new one comes in. That is what I would do, anyhow. Good luck!!

I started loading today too.

I have had about a half slice of cake, a 7 layer burrito and empanada from taco bell and I am about to eat Philly cheese steak sub from Penn Station.

Tomorrow I plan buttery scrambled eggs and bacon, and then sausage and peppers and onion for supper. Lunch is up in the air for tomorrow. Something high fat and lower carb than I had today.

snacks tonight and tomorrow will be sausage and cheese.

At some point I will have granola with whole milk. i love whole milk.

I called the manufacturer of my homeopathic drops, and they said that the drops should be good for two years past the date of manufacturing (date stamped on the bottle). HTH!!!

Thank you Lost and Found!

I'm sure I will be asking many, many questions as I go through this.

I just took my second dose of drops (homeopathic HCG drop) and
it is weird to take something so that will take some getting use to.

Maybe some ice cream tonight. I can't really think of something I really, really want on these loading days!

I am very excited for Monday to come. During the week, I don't fret about food. I am more worried about next weekend and staying strong.

Can someone recommend some good spices for shrimp? I think I will just fry them up in a non-stick pan for Monday.

Anyone planned their menu yet for the week?

In the beginning, it doesn't seem possible, but I have found that, I need to make note, somewhere, of when I take my drops each time, as...sometimes...I wonder if I already took them. When you are busy, it's easy to forget.

You will think of plenty that you wished that you would have loaded on...once you're well into P2.

OOOhhh noooo. I was kidding...I'm not going to list all of the things that sound good to me...this far into P2.

I think that it would just start some psychological cravings, but I must add...the further that I go into P2...past the shorter round...the more my "mind" is hungry for something other than what I have been eating, but I will get through it.

I am really looking forward to eating shrimp. I don't buy it a whole lot because chicken and pork are cheaper but for 21 days, I am treating myself to shrimp.

I won't be eating a lot of it (3.5 oz per meal) so it won't cost too much. I'm thinking every other meal will be shrimp. I'm gonna turn into Bubba Gump!

I worry about that. The mindset thing. I am hoping that by keeping my daily wt log and just stayong in the day and keeping a list of things I really want to hold for my next loading days I will do Ok. I am shooting for 23 days but will see how I feel at thet point, maybe try to extend to closer to christmas.

I am buying the precooked shrimp from Kroger. It is a decent price (on sale 2 bags for one) and easy to pull out a few shrimp at a time and toss on the food scale. Now I will know to eat about 2.5oz as it is precooked.

I worry about it too.
I am trying to come up with things I can do around the house and out of the house to keep me busy and NOT thinking about food or being in the kitchen.
Food is HUGE for me and this diet will take all my willpower.

That is why I wanted to start this thread so I could support others who are on the same journey as me. I also want to write down everything I am feeling for that day and get support too.

This is what I keep telling myself:
I can do ANYTHING food related for 21 days! It is just FOOD! I will live!
People all around the world survive on much less and definitely less appetizing food. Don't be a wimp! Think about the clothes that you will be able to fit in for Christmas. Think about family pictures!
Think, Think, Think before doing something stupid!

I wish I could start! I'm still waiting for my drops to be delivered. Ugh.

A couple questions.................What is the serving size for vegetables? 1 cup? More, Less?

For strawberries it says a handful. I don't know about you, but I can't fit very many strawberries into my hand. So how many do you eat?

I thought it was 3.5 oz of meat and 3.5 oz of veggy per meal. I know it is 1 apple, 1 orange and a 1/2 grapefruit. I would think 4-5 strawberries would be sufficient.

We can be your guinea pigs so follow along and when you get your drops, jump in but PLEASE do not tell us what you are eating on your load days or we may cry or worse yet, cheat!

A good way to measure is to go on to ******, and input your two meats for the day first, your two grissinis (or melba toasts), then your fruits. The calories that are left over, can be used for your veggies. You have to play with the amounts on ******...until you come up with an amount close to 500 calories. But, if you start with your meat first...since you know that you will be having 200 grams, uncooked weight, of meat a day...it's easiest to put that in first. Then, since you know that you will be having 2 grissinis, put them in. If you're having an apple, put that in. Then, if you're having strawberries at your next meal, put in 5, or 6, strawberries. What's left, you can play with the amounts on ******, on the veggies that you are planning for the day, until you reach 500 calories, and come up with a measuring amount for them. It's time consuming at first, but...if you take note of your findings, and don't often vary your menu, soon you will just know out of habit.

Hope that helps.
