Side effects - Blood Clots?? and flying

So I'm contemplating trying the HCG drops (maybe those are HHCG? - I'm still in initial research phase) and was just wondering if anyone has had any of the side effects. I'm flying to Florida on November 29th and had read that one possible side effect was blood clots. Well this of course makes me slightly nervous. Has anyone experienced that?

Sorry if this was covered elsewhere - I didn't really do a search before posting.

thanks!!

I have taken the homeopathic hcg for 5 rounds now. I have never heard of them giving blood clots. That is a new one to me!!! Where did you hear that? I must admit that I did not fly while taking them so I did not worry about it. But do know that is you do fly do NOT let the bottle of homepathic hcg go through the X-ray machine as they would be compromised. I know that Chouter had flown to NJ from the West coast while on plan. I don't know if she did the Rx or homeopathic though. Maybe post this in the weekly thread and she might see it!! I flew for over 10 hours without a hitch a few weeks ago, a few weeks after my 1st round.

They were talking about the side effects on a local news station here. In looking up more info, I think those side effects are most likely associated with the shot version so I'm guessing not a side effect of the drops.

How do you travel with the drops? When you flew did you take them with you? check them in your suitcase?

I'm just debating what to do - I leave for Florida on November 29th and I'd love to lose weight before going but am not sure how well I'll be able to stay on plan for the week that I'll be at a conference.

I just flew to Seattle and back to LAX. No issues. I have heard of clots on LONG plane rides - and I have experienced long flying to the middle east a couple of times. So the key is to wear compression tights/socks and get up sometimes.

But to Florida...I think you would be fine.

You can take the drops on the flight - I think it is 3 oz or less. Check the TSA web site. I also wrapped mine in small bubble wrap, with a rubber band. This way it was padded and put in a small pouch in the purse.

You could start asap....and then do an interuption for the conference. Then when you come home, if it has not been over 14 days, just restart P2 again.

There is a thread here somewhere about "interruptions".

edited to say..you can also bring food on the plane of course

Conferance food is tricky! Usually carb city. But maybe you can find out what the foods are and plan ahead. We hit Trader Joes and stocked up on some legal foods. I even had hard boiled eggs and tea when necessary.

Thank you for the suggestion about the interruption! I think that might be the best way to handle it. I'm pretty sure, that I can resist most of the conference food - HOPEFULLY.. The conference I'm going to no longer provides food so it's restaurants for every meal - I'm hoping some will have some grilled chicken and broccoli! or something along those lines.. I'll be gone exactly 8 days so that will be within the time frame. I'm going to read more about it in that interruption thread. THANK YOU!
