Well I knew it would not last long!! I am up a pound today. But that is OK. I knew that it was too good to be true to stay at 2 lbs below LDW for long. I ate some great food yesterday so it is all good!!! Enjoy your Friday. I will be cooking today so that I can have some P3 friendly foods on hand this weekend. Happy weekend too!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies, I need a kick in the pants. I rushed P3 instead of doing my vlcd's after LDW properly, and am up 3.2 from LDW.
![]() I guess I was just so tired of P2 foods. I'm not ready to do a correction day, but am going to try to eat clean today and see what happens - I know some of this is water retention. Send your strength my way today! I'm going to get to the grocery store and pick up some good foods. Lots of strong ladies on the board! KUTGW! ![]() |

R2,P2,VLCD #5 after 13 day interruption
Weight on VLCD#1 : 166.4 Yesterday's weight: 163.4 Today's weight: 162.2 # gain/loss from yesterday: -1.2 lbs Total lost this round(not counting load weight): -1.8 Now we're getting somewhere! ![]() Down 1.2 lbs two days in a row! Kicking TOM out the door... ![]() I was hungry again yesterday, craving fat. I listened to my body and fed it. Hopefully, that doesn't bite me in the butt tomorrow. I was NOT going to turn this into an experiment. I was going to do strict protocol. But when the hunger starts messing with my head, I start thinking about that darn rogue thread and convince myself that I can eat more and still lose. So I guess this is turning into an experiment after all. ![]() I'm really unhappy about the price of strawberries. Sam's had them for $7 for 2 lbs! I guess I'm gonna have to start buying frozen. Yuk. What do you do with them besides smoothies? Yesterday's menu: Breakfast: coffee with stevia Lunch: chicken and cabbage soup, grissini Snack: apple, string cheese(not on protocol), handful of mixed nuts(not on protocol) Dinner: Sirloin steak, sliced tomatoes Dessert: strawberries with stevia |

Stacey
I could not bear to buy them at the store either. So sad looking and expensive. I just bought frozen and don't have any ideas besides smoothies!! I don't like them thawed and eaten plain. I bought some grapefruit and had that at breakfast and will get in an apple later today. I am done with strawberries til Jan!! |

The frozen strawberries are great with warm water in a magic bullet and a little bit of stevia. It tastes like yummy sorbet or a whole fruit bar. I think I might try making some popsicles out of it so it takes longer to eat
I saw this posted on another board and thought it would be a great alternative to smoothies....it is |

I like frozen strawberries with a little real cream poured over them. Then, I eat them frozen, kind of tastes like strawberry ice cream!

I switched things up a little yesterday and had 1/2 a grapefruit as my dinner fruit instead of my usual apple and didn't eat my grissini with that meal either. I also had fish so in all I was probably 60 cal under my normal day, which seems to hover around 540. I in NO way expected a 2.5 lb loss though! I was shooting for the 189.5 by Monday morning. How ridiculous is this- I actually got on and off the scale 4 times to make sure it read the same each time! I usually only do that when the number is higher than I want to see. ![]() |

Everyone is doing so well
Picture time from Seattle, WA! It was brisk and cold but very little rain. so that was way doable. I am back from vacation and looks like I am .5 above my window. yeah! I am doing a mini steak day just to help purge along the vacation bloat. My DH said he though I should have lost weight because we walked so much and I did stay on P3 program. Here is my son and I and those are my size 6, skinny jeans. They are actually baggie in the crotch area now! Woohoo! ![]() And this dog came out of nowhere following DH eating a kabob. Cracked us up! ![]() And the lovely view coming in off the ferry. Seattle.... ![]() |

I should have knocked on wood yesterday when I posted she was doing well. ![]() She has been in P4 since 10/30, so it will be two weeks on Saturday. She has eaten cake, pasta, beans and rice, a smoothie, bread (but not like on a burger, she has been eating the burgers Atkins style so far). I am trying to teach her it is okay to have the carbs but if you show a gain to step back from them for a couple of days.

Stevie - beautiful pics! I just love Seattle. You really lucked out with the weather! We are expecting a terrible winter, but what that means, we don't know yet. Last year was mild, with not one flake of snow. The year before that, we were snowed in for two weeks and got dumped on every day. (I loved it!) The year before that, we had terrible winds and lost power for NINE days! It's always an adventure here.
You did great with your protocol while you were away! |

Yesterday my SO came home from work and wanted to get his free Applebee's meal (he's a veteran) so I went with him. This was my first dining out while on protocol experience. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, half order, and I think the amount of protein on it was right on. I know there was dressing (it was very light though), and shaved Parmesan (very little), but the croutons were sinful - like they had been sauteed in butter. Plus I ordered a breadstick, which I should have given to my SO. Oh well. I think I did OK, considering I could have splurged and gotten something worse. So, P2VLCD5 and I'm up 0.2. I have TOM so I expect a few variations.

Stevie--great pictures!! Looks like you all had a fabulous time. And to come home to a great number on the scale---even better!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
Koo---I see that Peggy answered your question. Your LDW IS what you go by, not your lowest after coming off of the hcg. Looks like she is doing really well in her P4 too. That is great that she is eating some carbs and being so stable. Congrats to her!!!!!!!! slingingfat---WOWZER what a drop!!! That is fabulous!!!! Keep it up! |

HI! Hopng my dropd come today.
What is LDW? (last day weight?) I have been 'loading' since I ordered the dang drops. way more than 3 days. More like a week (tomorrow is a week) so am I good to go when they come? There is only one thing I realy really want and since DH is on LC I will have to do it for lunch one day, probably the day my drops come so I can start right away. can you guys on P2VLCD most more daily menus? I am still trying to get a feel for stuff I can have. Thanks!! I am thinking I will measure my bust, waist and hips is all, because I usually use my clothes to judge my shape changing. Sadly the sweat pants and Tshirts I have been mostly reduced to don't help me judge well LOL.

LDW = last dosing weight; which is the weight you are on the last day you dose. Then you still do 2 VLCDs (48 hours) and then move on to P3. It gives you a weight that you try and maintain (+ or - 2 lbs) in P3. It is not your lowest weight on P2; mine is usually a lb or two higher than my lowest.
You need to load still, while dosing. I know it is hard, but it really does help the first week. My menu is something like this: B: Coffee L: P2 chili {(lean beef, fire roasted tomatoes, a spice mix with cocoa, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and a little bit of chili paste, added beef broth). I eat it every day and I am OK with it.} Grissini, apple. D: Chicken and cabbage sauteed in chicken broth with Bragg's amino acids added, ginger, chinese 5 spice, garlic. Grissini and strawberries. Just check spices for added sugars/starches. |

As far as the loading, you have to wait and do your loading for two days while taking the drops. You load up on fats while taking the drops the first two days so that your body has excess to feed on until the drops take effect. If you don't do this it will leave you starving until the drops kick in. I hope your drops come in today! Happy loading! |

Thanks ya'll.
Reading about the strawberries is sad! They have been such a gift during p2. My mom has really small, sour oranges on her tree that I actually like.lol- so I may go pick her tree. I too wont spend a fortune on some measly ol' strawberries. |
