Thanks for all the advice on the coffee...........I could never stop at just 16 oz. I think I will just turn to hot tea as my addiction. I already have several boxes (8ish) of different flavors (chai, sugar cookie, apple cinnamon, etc). I need to get me some different varieties of fruity teas that I can enjoy iced.

BTW, Has anyone notice any "reshaping/enhancing" in the chest area? I need any help I can get these days.

Hi Dawn - I'm taking a multivitamin daily as well as a SF calcium chew, vit B, potassium, and one or two others.

Can you please share more about those that you added and your avoiding the multi and what effects you saw? Thanks

Fantastic!

Me: R2P2VLCD9. I am really slowing down; only 0.6 gone last night. For some reason I grabbed and ate an extra apple before bed last night. It was a small one, but I know I shouldn't have. Apples are good right now and I've been disappointed with the other fruits allowed (citrus and strawberries are not very tasty at this time of the year), so I've been eating apples 2x/day. So I hope the third one yesterday wasn't too bad. Have a great day everyone!
You may want to try frozen unsweetened strawberries. I buy a big bag at Costco, but in CA I find the strawberries still taste good and are cheaper now. Also I will make eggbeaters like a crepe and heat strawberries and pour them atop. Heating them seems to sweeten them and I use a bit of cinnamon too.

I took out the vitamins I thought I would be Ok with doing without!! Simple. I don't need a multivitamin. I don't think I am going to die without it for 21 days. But I have kept in my potassium, vitamin C (that one is for my adrenals), adrenal supplement, betaine hcl pepsin....in other words ones that are specific to me done by my hair analysis and I thought I needed while on protocol. As for noticing a difference.....I don't! I don't notice anything different when taking them from when I don't. Therefore it is hard to say if they effect me at all. DH would just wish I would quit taking everything. LOL. But I can tell I will have cramps without my potassium.

I cannot recommend which ones you need because that is not what I do. Even the potassium is a bit sticky because of the high blood pressure thing---you have to ask your doc if you have high blood pressure on that one. I have low blood pressure and it was found on my hair analysis that I need the potassium, sodium...well all my minerals are out of whack actually!! Again my doc and I have a regime set down and I follow that within the guidelines of P2. I resume ALL my vitamins/supplements once I begin P3. Just like all my lotions.

Hi Kathy, aboard. I'm a coffee drinker and have always use fat coffee mate flavorings in my coffee. Now, I drink it black as I still have to have my freshly ground coffee in the morning.

Thanks, Dawn. The hair analysis is interesting. I've never heard of that. Do you mind sharing more about it? It's interesting that they can get that info from hair that is supposedly dead and choose that instead of blood, but I know nothing of it and how they do it. Is it just a visual evaluation or more?

I don't think I've met a doc yet that is willing to do many tests. I had to really pressure on years ago to even do a more thorough thyroid test.

I'm up. 7 today, but I had too much chicken yesterday and I had diet soda that I rarely have and then of course less water w/lemon that I usually drink all day. Every day I need more water as it is. But, I did get in 35mins of water aerobics/swimming.

I'm feeling like eating off plan foods today maybe cuz TOM is probably on the way. Maybe I'll have a few extra drops to help with that.

I only had 1/2 of a medium english cucumber nothing on it and chicken breast, my losses have been better on cabbage and lean ground beef so that is what I am having today to see if the cucumber did something to me.

I do love cucumbers but you are right it tastes better with ranch dip.

Hi!
Well Im back on the wagon after a bad fall. I’m doing R2P2. I’m so upset that I have gained the weight that I lost from last year plus gained more. My size 12 jeans are so tight and I donated all of my 14’s. I am down to just a few pair that fit, ugh. (size 14 denile)

I find I do much better if I stick to protocol as written, I just need the structure.
I’m getting married at the end of the year and need to get this weight off for good.

My big goof from the last round last year was not weighing everyday, drinking tooooo much beer, wine etc. holidays and a bad 4 wheel accident that crushed my legs, and no exercise.
So, I am back in full force, I weighed on Monday after loading on burgers and bar b que over the weekend and about passed out! 188.2 If that wasn’t motivation I don’t know what is. Vlcd 1 188.2 and woke up today on Vlcd 2 184.8 3.4 lbs gone!
The only deviation from protocol is, I do use tomato as one of my fruits on occasion and use WF dressings and products sparingly.
I also bought the hip hop abs dvds for some fun exercise. I also need to take some before pictures and measure so that this time I will keep this weight off.

Everyone is so helpful and supportive and I look forward to losing!
Ashley

back Ashley! At least you know how to repair what damage you have done! You'll have that weight back off in no time. I also use the Walden Farms products - I want to try the ranch dressing, is it any good? I bought bleu cheese before and it was so-so. We are also very close in weight and I am on VLCD#2 right now. I'll be here to root you on

She wanted to do some saliva testing for the adrenals but it was much more expensive than the hair analysis. It was quite fascinating. And her comment on the hair analysis was "if they can tell you died from arsenic poisoning from a hair analysis I don't know why the insurance doesn't cover the test while you are still alive!!" She believes in it wholeheartedly. Oh, and she did order a blood test too. Anyway, she just cut a bit of hair from the back of my head, asked me to fill out a questionnaire and off she sent it to a lab. I get the results back next Tues when I go for my follow up appointment. She said that the hair analysis should be done every 3-4 months as that is how long it takes to see improvement. So the fact that my last one was done 1 and 1/2 years ago.....that was too long to wait! And she diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue and hypothyroidism on symptoms alone. I have very low body temps as well as very low blood pressure, slow reflexes......all the signs that point to those problems no matter what the test results say.

Thanks Gracie,
I like the ranch ok, but I saw that there is a chipoltle ranch flavor that sounds good. I really like the Italian, roasted red pepper Italian, Asian and Balsamic the best. The honey mustard was odd but ok I really like the creamy Italian the best as far as the creamy ones.though. It makes it so much easier to have a little dressing on a plain salad. I bought some tiny little cups with lids at the $ store so I can take it to work. I really like the caramel dip with apples.
Thanks for your support, we can do this!

Oh my, they have caramel dip????? Where do I find it? It took me FOREVER to find the chocolate sauce I finally found it with the regular syrups and sugar-free products. I'm gonna have to find the caramel dip for the apples So, you recommend the creamy italian the best or is that just for the creamy types? I would like something to dip my cucumbers in.

I agree, we can do this!!! I wanna be HAWT for Christmas

My doctor wants to put me on insulin (which I had been on before and packed on 15 lbs in one month from it!) but I am afraid I will gain a ton of weight again. Is there anyone here who has been able to lose on HCG and insulin? I can't take oral meds (too many GI issues) so I haven't been taking anything and my numbers are consistenly too high. Thanks!

Checking in. M is up 2 lbs., we got cocky and thought she would do okay having two cookies on Saturday night. I wonder if she had waited til next Saturday if it would have effected her? The weight didn't go up Sunday morning but it was there at yesterday's weigh in and still there this morning. Other than the cookies she is still on plan with P3. Two things that I am looking at that she has added in the last couple of days are Atkins Mocha Shake (she has been drinking the chocolate with no problem) and she also added Almond Butter last week and had no problem with that but when we bought a new jar it is a different brand so wondering if it could cause a problem. I have to go back and read over the last couple of days. I hope everyone is doing great with whatever Phase you are on!

In direct answer to your question, I have bad blood sugar issues (as well as a bunch of other hormonal issues) and have lost really well. I think you will do fine on the plan. This effects your hormones so you would need to keep a careful eye out on your blood sugar while doing it as well as read up on his section where he discusses if you have low blood sugar. Something about having some sugar on hand or something or other. Don't want to have you passing out!

Don't forget about the "2 day effect" I keep talking about. Sometimes your weight will not reflect what you ate the day before, but 2 days before. It probably was the cookies. As long as she is still within her window all is good right??!!!

I agree, we can do this!!! I wanna be HAWT for Christmas
Gracie, I got my caramel dip at fry's (krogers) maked down to 2.00. Im not sure if netron has it, but you look on WF web site for store locations or order. Also Amazon carries it. I know some one on here one time posted a recipe with strawberries and the marshmellow dip as a smoothie type drink. Im going to get that today and see how it taste. Im also going to try the choco fudge dip spread on a melba with sliced fresh strawberries. YUM.
One must get creative with this diet to make work with in the confines of PC.
Hope that helps!

Quick question: I know we aren't supposed to eat 2 servings of fruit or 2 serving of melba/grissini at the same time, but what about protein/veggies? I have a horrilbe sore throat and haven't eaten anything yet today so I need to get food in before bed, it's 6pm already.

You have had nothing all day?? Then treat it like a mini steak day! Just have double your portion of protein (beef would be best) and an apple or raw tomato. You might see a nice release tomorrow. Sorry to hear you are sick. While I am sick on protocol I like to have chicken broth. Very soothing for a sore throat. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

speaking of wf....

Tonight for dinner I took a few spoons of the razzberry salad dressing and added a bit of Franks Wing Sauce. Spooned it over my chicken breast. EXCELLENT!!!
I like to drizzle a combo of the chocolate and the caramel over a plate of sliced apples.
Dh like the blueberry syrup on top of his carbsmart vanilla ice cream.

Nothing, just some coffee earlier in the day. I was going to make egg drop soup but I don't have any chicken broth. (would that be considered mixing proteins though??)

I think I'll just do hardboiled eggs, beef isn't sounding great to me.
