Oh, why ask me??? I have had untreated hypothyroid forever!!! You ladies know much more than I about this!! I just started taking Synthroid last week and quit taking it on Mon. (yes, I gave it a week). With being on it for an entire week I have barely seen the scale move and since that was the only difference between my P2 week #1 and week #2, I quit. I end P2 next week and will resume it then. But by all means go ahead and continue on any meds your doc has you on!!! Do not quit any!!!

What I did was change/temporarily stopped some of my supplements that I didn't want to take on P2. The oily based ones as well as my multi-vitamin. And I also added some that have helped me lose as well!!

Peggy and Lost---

Way to go on the losses today!!!

Seems that today is the day for losses. I am down too!! 1.2 pounds!!! Yippee!!!!! I am down to 117.6!!! That much closer to my goal.

Btw, I am wondering if the Synthroid I just started last week caused me to stall. I barely saw the scale move last week. But when I stopped the Synthroid, it moved. Wonderful for P3!!! I am hoping this is the key that was missing in all my previous rounds. I am excited to find out! That will be great if that is what it does next week--stable is the name of the game in P3. Also I don't advocate stopping any meds your doc has you on. I only stopped because I just started!! I figured I can wait a week to start back up!

Me: R2P2VLCD9. I am really slowing down; only 0.6 gone last night. For some reason I grabbed and ate an extra apple before bed last night. It was a small one, but I know I shouldn't have. Apples are good right now and I've been disappointed with the other fruits allowed (citrus and strawberries are not very tasty at this time of the year), so I've been eating apples 2x/day. So I hope the third one yesterday wasn't too bad. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies! Great losses today

I jumped back into P2 for a short round to try and get in the 160's before my 20 year high school reunion at the end of November. This morning I am down -2.6# But, I am re-losing weight that I lost last round I will be happy once I reach virgin territory

I did find the Waldens Farms chocolate sauce and it's not too bad. I'm going to dip some strawberries today and freeze for a few minutes for lunch. It's just enough to help with the sweet cravings.

Good morning!

Dawn Nice pic!

Today second gain in a row. Due to TOM/salty supper I think (it was super delicious though

A little frustrated..was 1.4 less two days ago (this is only day 8). But things have got to move by tomorrow. TOM is almost gone!

Someone asked about biotin. That one is great if your hair starts falling out! Mine is still falling more than normal...part of that is supposed to be the fall season, part the shock to your system because of weight loss. I am taking 5 mg per day now...thinking of upping it to 10.

I am taking calcium/magnesium, potassium (mostly as salt thruout the day), biotin, and vitamin D (not necessarily protocol, but feel my pasty self needs it now that the pool is gone for the season). I don't take b-12 except occasionally. I have had a deficiency before and an excess of folate and been on shots and also gotten my levels too high and had some reactions, so I'm leery of taking too much. Would love to afford a doctor's check on my levels! But I don't have the yellow palms I had back then, so hope I'm ok.

Everything is crazy tonight and stressful...three things scheduled at once and only one car. Will have to ditch seeing the abstinence program the school is previewing for parents. They've put it on almost the same time as the band program. And girl scouts was rescheduled.

.6 is still a loss, maybe it was that extra apple. Are you still following protocol or do you change it up abit?

Good morning, all:

Well, I lost 1.5 of my 2 lbs. gain, but at least I am heading in the right direction. My new drops seem to be helping, but damn, I was hungry yesterday! I might need to up the number of drops I am taking. This dropper seems to put out smaller drops than the other one. Or maybe it was because I had a day off work and I laid around doing next to nothing. At work I can usually handle the hunger better because I am busy. Tomorrow will tell me whether or not this is working, if I can stay on protocol today. I will do my best. Great releases, everyone.

R1P3D28 - 164
R2Load1 - 167.1 (+3.1)
R2Load2 - 169.7 (+2.6)

Day 21 155.3 (-.3)
Day 22 155.3 (-0.0)
Day 23 154.3 (-1.0)
Day 24 156.3 (+2.0)
Day 25 154.8 (-1.5)

If you are more hungry than usual then try some broth. I am thinking I might have egg drop soup at lunch. 2 cups of chicken broth with 1 whole egg + 3 whites mixed in. Yum-o!!!!!! Because of the 2 cups of broth it is very filling!! The P2 french onion soup in the recipe sticky is to die for too!!! Love it. If I could have that every day I would. Metqa posted it and it is in the first page of 2 of the sticky. I find the soups to be quite filling and when it is cooler out, just fills the bill. Now today it is hot but soon enough it will be soup weather!! Hope it gets better for you. I did an entire round hungry and it was not fun....definitely not fun at all.

Whenever I have cucumber with my meal I never eat more than 1/2. Mainly because I know I have to eat veggies. I just wish I could do without forever But then again I make mine plain while in P2, whereas in P3 I slather the heck out of them with butter or dressing. I told y'all I don't like veggies!! The more I cannot taste the actual vegetable the better.

I don't blame you. I haven't even hit the 10 lbs. mark this round, not including load weight. It is very frustrating to keep staying the same. I think we both somehow hit a wall we just can't break through. I am giving this new bottle until Friday. If I haven't lost significantly, or at least moving in the right direction, I'm going to be done with R2P2 and move on. I *might* do another round before the holidays, but I might wait until the New Year. It is hard to wrap my head around doing another P2. I didn't think it would take 3 rounds. I am bummed!

Thanks Dawn! The chocolate syrup was expensive - it was like $4.99 for the bottle. It only seems good because I'm in P2 If I was in P3/P4 I wouldn't even touch the stuff It's just nice to have something in case I need sweets. I also have the WF Honey Dijon dressing and I mixed it yesterday with yellow mustard for a sort of "honey mustard" dipping for my grilled chicken. It actually tasted pretty good.

If anyone is a regular coffee drinker what do you do on p2? I think I may just give it up for p2 I think that I will just switch to tea for awhile. I know that some people use the flavored stevia drops in their coffee...but I just don't think that will cut it for me. I am already a stevia user so putting that in my tea won't be a problem.

Hopefully, I will be SO happy with my weightloss that I won't bite anyone's head off w/o my coffee

I cut way back on my coffee consumption when I started P2 and the hcg over a year ago. It just was not worth it with the pitiful amount of milk we get to have I have a whole variety of teas and they are fantastic!!! Make sure to pick the ones you will like. I have 3 boxes of the vanilla caramel truffle---yummy!!

I am right there with ya. I am doing at least 6 weeks of P3/P4 this time, so either I am on P2 during Christmas or I wait until after Christmas. I choose after.

I hope you have great losses this week! If not, see ya in P3!

How long did you wait between your first and second rounds? I believe there is a reason we are supposed to wait in between rounds besides the obvious immunity issues. When I'm in P3 I can visibly see the fat movement and body re-shaping. It's like magic !!! I wonder if we don't wait long enough between rounds if we miss that? I guess we'll really never know the reasons behind Dr. Simeons strict protocol, just have to trust it!

Which pills? When I started synthroid last week the doc told me 1 hour before breakfast. How easy is that when I eat no breakfast on P2??!! So anyway, what I did was:

1.) get up at 6:15 or so and dose with my Hhcg
2.) after waiting 15 mins (I went back to bed) I took my Synthroid
3.) wait an hour before having coffee (easy since I have to cart 2 kids to different schools in the AM--Just waited til all the traveling was done before having my cup of coffee)

I took no other pills with the Synthroid. I think that is how it works!! My other vitamins and supplements the doc has me on I take when I eat my lunch and dinner.

Hopefully, I will be SO happy with my weightloss that I won't bite anyone's head off w/o my coffee
I drink one 16 ounce cup of coffee each morning with either milk or half-n-half and sweetener. Never gave me any problems. I also drink herbal teas during the day and sometimes at night. There a lot of people who drink coffee in P2 without issue.

I had a great 40 day round 1 P2. Then I only did 3 weeks of P3, loaded and went straight into round 2. I think I should have done 3 weeks of P4 too, but I was too impatient to get back to losing. That was a big mistake and my body totally rebelled against round 2. I'll be doing it by the book from now on.

I saw the re-shaping too with the 3 week P3. There are pictures of my backside in my journal with just 3 lbs difference, but noticable difference to prove it.

Live and learn! I kind of did the same thing - I did an interruption for 13 days and then jumped back into P2 and really didn't lose much more. I think I ended one pound lower than before the interruption. I keep telling myself to stick to INTENTIONAL short rounds - that's where I get the optimal results. For some reason I start to think that tweaking will work when it obviously just doesn't for me

Ohhhhh.....didn't know you have not started hcg yet Hunger could be a side effect of the synthroid. I don't know as I have not yet read the package insert. And I had only tried it for a week. I did not lose on Atkins. I was an Atkins girl forever (11+ years) but did well at maintaining my weight, not losing!! I loved being on Atkins while pregnant. I could eat a lot of food and I still looked great!!!

Coffee - My hubby gave up coffe because he can't drink it without cream. I don't drink coffee, but have found I like green tea. I was a Diet Coke addict.

Gracie and Mindfulness - You guys are freaking me out! LOL I am planning on doing P3 for 14 days and getting in a 23 day round before Christmas!

I will tell you that we will be doing 23 day rounds from now on. 43 are way too long!

Sorry! Just be careful on your P3 interruption to not go 2 pounds above your LDW. That way you don't have to re-lose the same weight. It is different for everyone so hopefully you will be able to jump back in and start up with great losses. No worries!
