Nothing, but a .4 lb. gain, to report here. How wonderful is that? Oh well, strive on...and, maybe, tomorrow will be better.

I just REALLY hope to start seeing some losses again...and soon, as I came into this with much skepticism, but with even more hope....and I can't take one more time of my "hopes" being crushed in life and weight loss.

I just took my drops for the first time. I was nervous that I wouldn't get the right amount, so I did it in front of the mirror. I had a late supper last night at Logan's so I am not really hungry yet Oh well, when I KNOW I have eaten many, many times when I wasn't hungry so loading should not be a problem!

No, I'm not throwing in the towel !!! Yes, I just lost .2 pounds yesterday, but gained .4 today. I guess that I just do not understand it?

If it hadn't worked I was going to do a mini steak day the next day.

Personally, I am happy that I have a slower week 2...then week 3 is always good, and I don't start second guessing if my body is 'tired of it' or worrying about a stall or such. Better to get it out of the way and be onto more reliable losing.

Pretty much EVERYONE goes thru this...you are not alone. You did lose super big your first week...your body is now going what the heck? and waiting to release but it will release!

Thanks, Paula!!!! That is what I was hoping. I read of people's "bad week" being week number 3, and I was just hoping that mine is just week number 2 instead....and hopefully, not a week 2 and 3 thing, as it makes it difficult to eat this way (strict protocol...not even walden farms, or making meals "fancy" from the recipe thread), and then, seeing a gain. Hopefully, the whoosh fairy will visit, and then, it will all be worth it.

Believe that you will lose. Quit putting all that negativity in your head. It messes with your body. You are doing fine. This is not an overnight process.

Today's update:

R2,interruption day #6??
Weight on VLCD#1: 175.8
Yesterday's weight: 160.4
Today's weight: 160.4
# below VLCD #1: -15.4 lbs
# gain/loss from yesterday: 0 lbs

I had a busy day yesterday and didn't update. I had a .4 loss yesterday.

Friday's menu:
Breakfast: 1 piece pumpkin bake with whipped cream
Lunch: Hamburger patty with pepper jack cheese, spinach and tomato salad with Marzetti ranch(best Ranch ever!-it was the only one in the grocery store without MSG and High Fruct Corn Syr)
Snack: apple with WF choc dip, string cheese
Dinner: KC Strip and cauliflower with cream cheese, garlic, and chives


Wow, that was a lot of cheese. Didn't realize it until I wrote it down. Guess cheese isn't really affecting me, cause I had a .4 loss that night.

Today I stayed the same. I know exactly why though.:blush:

I had 2 glasses of wine last night. Apparently wine helps me stabilize. Good to know.

Yesterday's menu:
Breakfast: coffee, eggs and homemade sausage(this was really good!)
Lunch: skipped
Snack: couple of handfuls mixed nuts
Dinner: KC Strip, more nuts
Dessert: 1 piece pumpkin bake with whipped cream, 2 glasses of wine

Not a great menu yesterday, but I was gone most of the day for a Girl Scout function and couldn't eat.

Morning! I am still full and happy from last nights steak, wine, califlour(faux mashed potato with onion. DELISH!). It was all so good!! I am up 1.5 pounds but I know it is a-ok. I have a lot of food sitting in my very happy tummy. That is it for as far as wine goes for a while. I may have a glass at dinner once in Seattle but I have the kiddo wih us and I don't usually drink when we are are tagging along.

Well today is Halloween and we are having a family over - so best get busy.

I wanted to say, I have cookies, pumpkin bread, chocolates, out for guests and I am not tempted one bite!

L&F, I gained *2* lbs yesterday! I ate some no nos (an extra apple, cream in my coffee, and some cashews) plus I had way too much cabbage, and it showed. But it was gone today and downward I go again.

Keep your eye on the big picture. Weighing daily keeps us honest, but sometimes it can have detrimental effects - such as people getting discouraged when it doesn't move down. But overall, you've lost a great deal of weight, very quickly.

Me: VLCD14 and I'm still at -13 lbs. I'm not hungry this round, but I really really feel like fall celebration eating. Pizza beer football, etc. We have some great restaurants downtown (Caribbean, Chinese, German, and my favorite-Tex Mex-that I have a $25 gift certificate for) and I smell them when I drive through and I really want to stop. Really badly. I really am missing eating out this round. Maybe I'm getting bored with my food?

Sounds wonderful!!!! I am so looking forward to some mashed cauliflower with garlic, bacon, and cheese...oh yeah...and some butter!!!!!

Thanks for posting that. I kept reading about the dreaded 3rd week, and I was soooo hoping that I wasn't going to have a terrible 2cnd, and 3rd, week. If I am still at 212 something tomorrow...I might need an apple day (or something), as that will be my 5th day at 212 something.

Thanks, Ladidah!!!! Yes. I lost a great amount during the first week...the good week for most. I am just a little bit crabby at the scale right now, as 212 something for this long (4 days), on something that works wonders for others, is starting to p*ss me off. BUT...one good thing...sometimes, my stubbornness works to my advantage...and I will, stubbornly, stick to my strict protocol menu...and hope for better results tomorrow.

Wow!!!! Your gift certificate will be a nice reward for you to use, once out of P2. Just think how good it will feel to use it, and not feel guilty about it!!!! Keep it in your mind as an award for going through with P2.

Oh, and I thought that it was just me. It seems that my sense of smell has hightened while on P2. Driving past restaurants, and smelling the yummy aromas......I just put the pedal to the medal, swear a little bit, and say: "I hope that all of you eating in there are enjoying yourself; and that you all gain a ton of weight."
Mean, I know, but...what can you expect from a crabby old lady who is carrying a phantom fetus?

It must be time for me to loose slowly too...182 this morning down 1/2lb from yesterday and no-loss the day before.

Hanging in there and plan on being good w/no halloween candy.
I'd much rather get the weight off.

Here's something for all the newbies to think about....

I bought prepackaged individually weighed chicken breasts......
Thought I wouldnt have to weigh them cause they ALREADY ARE......
Just out of curiosity I weighed one and it came up to 350g's-12oz
When they should have been 100'gs.
(This may have held me back a bit on my first week of protocol)

I am on to it now w/no worries.

Don't worry about the tiny weight gain you will start going down again. I was up .2 the one day next day down .4 and today down .2 I would love to see more but I have an average of 1.02 pounds per day so that is good for a female.

I made myself that chili and OMG!

Totally good and something different, I dont think I could get tired of it...
It's the only recipe I have tried- I dont want to get into the fancy recipes and focus on food to much but this one is perfect.

Lost and Found You gotta try it.
Could your little gain be due to TOM around the corner???

hey guys! I'm on R2P2VLCD#1. I loaded well yesterday and Friday. I weighed in pre-load at 154 and post load at 157.6. That's only 7.2 pounds over my LDW from last round. I hope it goes off fast! Looking forward to the losses in P2!
