I refrigerated mine during my 2 week interruption, and they've still been working fine. Directions said they didn't need any...but I did anyways!

HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST AT THE BAR!!!

Brett Favre was there also. He had a nylon doo-hickey hanging out also. Of course we had to have a few pics taken. I stood behind him on a chair and laid "mine" on his shoulders.

I always say the Halloween is the New...New Years Eve. At least at our bar it is. We have a big costume contest...and I decorate up the ying-yang. Between that and the Luau we have every summer...I don't know which one I like the best. Of course, I also do an Adult only Easter egg hunt the week AFTER easter. Now, that one is a HOOT!!!!

Yes, sugar makes some of us mean. That is my defence when someone tries to persuade me to eat sugar, I say "It turns me into a serial killer". No one ever keeps insisting.

Good one, I'll have to use that line the next time one of those Skinny-Mini's at work, comes around with desserts or home baked goodies.

Mind if I jump in? I lost almost 30 lbs in 28 days following the Protocol, but when I went to P3 it was a disaster! I'm not sure exactly how much I put back on during my failed P3, but my pants still fit, so it wasn't overwhelmingly horrible. So, I'm back "on the juice" and I've lost what I put back on, plus an additional 3 pounds, but I'm tweaking it this time and finding what works best for me. Pretty much the whole month of October was a loss for me, but I'm glad to finally be back on track!!

Hi everyone.. I'm BAAAACK on the "Juice" today.. well since Friday/Sat/Sun(loading)... and now I'm on my 1st vlcd...

I lost my ever loving mine on a P3-Break.. and gained 8-lbs. back... and an additional 4.6-lbs. loading.. bring my weight back up to 257.4 (today 11/1/10).. BUT I'M BACK ON VLC AND THE JUICE TODAY.

I plan on staying on VLCD until ThanksGiving.. and then take a break (2-day) Thursday and Friday.. and jump back on P2 (TWEAKED P2 Ofcourse)... and keep losing till Christmas day...

I need you all's prayers.. to stay on Rogue-Protocol a.k.a R.P.

I have followed your journey when I was researching HCG, I am so impressed with your loss! Congrats!!... and that kinda scares me about P3 WITHOUT the drops. I keep reading about how so many gain during P3 and P4, it makes me NEVER WANT TO GET OFF THE JUICE!....

I am happy to see you here, because making it more user friendly for YOU, will help you stay on course. That is what is important, something that you can stick to, even if it is not exactly what the book says. It is more important IMO, to be true to yourself and make it work. So good luck and please keep posting!!..

Love it. Welcome back!!... looking forward to how your plan treats you! Another example of gaining on P3 without the drops... yikes..

I had been doing my own version of P3 but WITH drops and was able to maintain very easily... I honestly wonder if the juice is the key to maintaining too... but of course someday I will have to find out if I can do it without, for now, I would not try it...

Good luck! let us know how it is going for you, and what kind of things you are tweaking to help you!...

So yesterday, sort of spur of the moment I decided I wanted to start LOSING AGAIN... since I know I can maintain, and I was already "juicing" it was a very easy transition. Sunday I had over eaten with all that darn Halloween candy, and felt awful. So I decided to join several of my buddies on a new round of P2! Of course it is hhcg my way, but I am going to eat as clean as I can... knowing what works for ME.

This morning I am back down the 2 pounds I was up, plus another 1.6. I would say I had a pretty good day, I did add extra protein at each meal, dropped the melba. I had my 2 fruits, and I did mix my veges in a salad. I had some fat free italian dressing also. Coffee with cream, and 2 diet cokes.

So it is still MyWay, but I am eating REAL foods for the most part. (Not including the diet cokes and the salad dressing) This is what works for ME, and I can lose... so here I GO!...

Went to that Omaha Med Spa site and wow, they have some great information there!! I especially agree with ditching the 'phases'! I prefer thinking of what I am doing now as my WAY OF LIFE and the hHCG is just ONE of MANY tools I use in my WOL weightloss goals. I can use it a lot or a little or not at all at any time I need it!

No breaks, no loads, just everyday living. I also agree with them about fat is fat is fat and the 'abnormal fat' theory is just that, a theory. The fat is fat rings true to me. Of course I also agree with them that the higher calories idea makes good sense too.

Revolutionary perspective! WOWZA. LOVE IT!!

Here are some points from the Omaha Med Spa. Not recommending anything, just wanted to put the information out there for anyone who may be interested. Just a different point of view.

"Over the past 2 years I have made many changes and enhancements to our diet program. I now call my diet – The OWL Diet -to distinguish it from the Original Hcg Diet that is used elsewhere. OWL stands for Omaha Weight Loss.

Why did I make these changes? Two overall reasons - Safety (keeping you healthy) and Efficacy (getting to your weight loss goal). I was not comfortable with the 500 calories per day on the Original Hcg Diet. The risk was too much acidosis from dieting – and side effects of headaches, dizziness, and low potassium levels. The OWL Diet allows 20-40% more calories per day – at 600-700 calories per day my patients feel better, have better hunger control, and are able to stay on the diet until they reach their weight loss goal. I also emphasize the need to spread those calories out over the day.

I call my calorie allowance of 600-700 calories per day the Low Calorie Diet (LCD for short). You will have enough energy to function at home and work, including mild levels of exercise. And you will still lose weight rapidly – an average of 15-20 pounds per month is shed on the OWL Diet. Although we do see some people lose 30 pounds in 30 days – this is not typical. It may occur in individuals who start at a higher weight (such as 300 pounds).

As you read about the changes I have made, you will see there are more food choices, and fewer rules.

Here are the Key Changes that make the OWL Diet better:

Food Choices and Frozen Foods – The original Hcg Diet was based on a very limited selection of food items that were commonly available in Italy in the 1950′s when Dr. Simeons was in practice. I have added additional food selections in all four categories of meats, vegetables,. fruits and beverages. We have also seen tremendous advancements in frozen foods, which can be safely incorporated into a modern protocol.

Sugar Substitutes – I permit the use of all sugar substitutes that are calorie free. Sugar substitutes are commonly used in soft drinks, iced teas and chewing gum. Use of these sugar-free products represents food behaviors that are often well established by participants before they ever start the OWL Diet. For the purposes of compliance with the OWL Diet, the use of sugar substitutes is permitted. I do point out that, in the long run, I feel we should limit our use of these products.

Caffeine – Caffeine is permitted on the OWL Diet and is often consumed in tea, coffee or soft drinks. My observation is that caffeine can increase, decrease or have no effect on appetite. It varies by the individual. Many participants on the OWL Diet were using caffeine beverages before I see them and do not want to give them up. As a means of helping them succeed on the OWL Diet, I permit the use of caffeine. Stopping caffeine and starting a LCD can trigger problems with headaches in the first week of the program.

Low Calorie Diet (LCD) – As mentioned, I allow a range of 600-700 calories per day. With the LCD modification, patients feel better, and have fewer effects from the acidosis of dieting and are therefore more likely to continue on the diet.

Hcg Immunity – Simeons believed that patients would develop immunity to Hcg. He advised the use of Hcg for only 6 days per week and required intervals of time to be off Hcg before restarting additional cycles. I do not believe that immunity exists for the vast majority of participants. With the OWL Diet, I advise participants to use Hcg daily for steady benefit and consistent results.

Continuous Monthly Cycles – Since we are not concerned about immunity and we now permit a higher intake of calories, I am able to offer monthly cycles of continuous Hcg use. We see an average monthly weight loss of 15 pounds for women and 20 pounds for men. Patients are safely permitted to continue monthly cycles “back to back” until they reach their weight loss goal. The momentum of successful weight loss is continued and patients learn to maintain lifelong behavioral changes towards healthier eating. This leads to permanent weight loss.

Vitamins and Supplements - The OWL Diet is, by its very nature, low in food sources of calcium and supplementation with calcium is needed for most participants. We also discuss the importance of B-Complex and Potassium. Some people also benefit from the addition of fiber, melatonin and B-12 shots.

Creams, Oils and Cosmetics – The use of body creams, oils, lotions and cosmetics do not, in my experience, interfere with weight loss on the OWL Diet. They are permitted and this change from the Simeons Protocol is greatly appreciated!

Menses – When women are menstruating, their hunger is frequently increased. I can find no logical explanation to withhold Hcg based on the menstrual cycle of women. Daily use of Hcg is encouraged, including during the menstrual period.

Fat is Fat - Dr. Simeons talked about “three kinds of fat”, and theorized that during dieting the body chooses certain fats to burn first. I do not follow that logic and my observation is that all fat stores are used as people are on the OWL program.

No Speculation about how Hcg works – Dr. Simeons had theories about how low dose Hcg works. Since they remain unproven theories, I do not speculate on the mode of action of Hcg. What is more important to me is our observation that Hcg does appear to help people lose weight on the OWL Diet.

No more Apple Days or Steak Days – I define a weight loss plateau as “no weight loss for a full two weeks despite complete adherence to the program”. Dr. Simeons attempted to break plateaus with either an “apple day” or a “steak day”. I have attempted to use these ideas with patients, and found them to be ineffective, misleading and counterintuitive. The best advice that I can offer is to “Stay committed and look at the total accumulated weight loss”. Plateaus cannot continue, due to the sheer arithmetic of following a LCD.

Salt Restriction – Dr. Simeons placed no restriction on the use of salt, but today we know better. The excessive use of salt carries definite health risks. In a healthy individual, I permit the use of salt. If you have hypertension, coronary artery disease or heart failure, salt use should be limited.

Constipation – Constipation is a common challenge that we face with a LCD despite the high fiber content of the vegetables and fruit that you will be consuming. Dr. Simeons did not intervene if patients only had a bowel movement every 3-4 days. My experience has been that constipation of 3-4 days duration leads to retained weight, bloating, fatigue and the risk of hemorrhoids. I prefer to advise the use of fiber to ensure a bowel pattern of once daily to every other day.

Massage – Massage is permitted, as there is no logical reason to withhold use of this very helpful service.

No More Phases – Dr. Simeons referred to “phases” during the original Hcg Diet. I have found this terminology to be confusing. The OWL Diet has 3 parts: fat loading, low-calorie diet and maintenance. "

I tried hhcg drops in June....only made it 8 days....just too much hunger for me. On a positive note, I haven't gained back what I lost....I switched to ww and lost a little more, then the local ww meeting closed, have been trying to stay on track, but have veered off course and gained a few back....

I want to try to make a 21 day round of hhcg.....I like the thought of going rogue...I don't have to lose big numbers, if I could just lose 10 in 21 I would be thrilled to no end!!

I do have a few questions....my opened drops have been in the fridge since June...they have a mfg date of 5/2010, but for the life of me I can't find a use by or exp. date...are they still good or should I order new ones?? If I can use them, going to start loading TOMORROW, but if I need to order some will be after I get them.
Also, I am walking a minimun of 2 miles a day......I DO NOT want to stop, don't mind reducing the amount if needed, but it is important to me to continue this good habit I have started! So is it ok to continue? Do I need to plan to do less, or just listen to my body?
AND, I am slightly embarassed to ask...I keep seeing the reference of "juice"--is that just the drops?? If not, please share! I tried to find it myself by can't seem to...

And I remember a few of you from the Simeon's threads when I was trying it in June.....perhaps someone remembers me??

Thanks for any help!! Excited at the possibility of trying again and tweaking it so I can have more success!
oh and

I'm assuming the refrigeration hasn't hurt them??
Like the ladies said, I don't think refrigeration would hurt the drops BTW - Did I say, (pppsssttt...we're a fun crowd (except when we are being starved )

Brett Favre was there also. He had a nylon doo-hickey hanging out also. Of course we had to have a few pics taken. I stood behind him on a chair and laid "mine" on his shoulders.

So, I'm back "on the juice" and I've lost what I put back on, plus an additional 3 pounds, but I'm tweaking it this time and finding what works best for me. Pretty much the whole month of October was a loss for me, but I'm glad to finally be back on track!!
I followed you on the HCG threads before! and best of luck to you!!!

Sounds like a plan! And good luck!

WTG on the poundage lost!!!!!!!!!

WOWZA. LOVE IT!!
I gotta read more on this....makes sense... I just need to take the time to read.

My only disagreement with them is the salt. There is nothing wrong with salt, we need it to live, BUT we need REAL SALT with the minerals still intact, not the white processed crap served up today. It's like white processed sugar ... completely unhealthy.

I have used real salt for many years now without any problems. I have tried many of the varieties of real salt and prefer the pink Himalayan salt. YUM! Just my two cents worth added on.
