I read Dr. Abbott's 32 page information on his OWL and I love it. I will be following his modernized protocol...think it would work better for me and my body, plus I know I could do a full course on more cals + exercise.

Today's Eats:
B: Tea, honeycrisp apple, 1 liter of water
L: Chilli + broccoli, 1 liter of water
S: 1/2 bag of 100 cal popcorn (this is allowed on Dr. Abbotts OWL plan )
D: Scrambled eggs, tea

Resting from the gym today.

What are you all eating today???
I'm basically doing low carb with hHCG so what I'm eating is a lot different than most here I would guess! Although I am aiming for about 800 calories a day and 20 carbs.

Dr. Abbott's 32 page information on his OWL ??? Is this a book I've missed? Would love to read it!!!

You are rockin this plan!! GOOD JOB!!!

Deb, You look mahhhhvelous in your new picture! Thank you for posting the condensed version of OWL. I have started reading that site but ADD kicked in when I started seeing all those food pics!

jgw, looking at your stats, you have lost a lot of weight. What plan were you following
to lose it?

Galatia, what you describe is the frustrating part of this plan. It seems that the less you have to lose, the slower you lose it. And I constantly feel hungry as well. I can't decide if I need to try a different brand of drops or what. Hopefully if we keep on a bit longer we, too, will see some losses. Good luck.

All I can say is you are so awesome for sticking with it! Definitely lock in that loss during P3.
Yes, it is just so unfair. All my husband has to do is give up alcohol and late evening pig-outs on sweets and he drops weight like its a rock. Meanwhile, I eat next to nothing and monitor every little morsel and it takes me days or even a week to drop a lb.

First day loss of one pound. Better than a gain! Hoping today is much better. I didn't do much water yesterday, I was very thirsty but in the house and it was cold so I didn't go out. I know I would've done much better.

Julie~ Thanks! I'm so glad to see that you're still doing so great and continuing to head downwards!!

Gweebles~ Congratulations and Welcome!! This is a great group and there's so much going on! You'll love it here!!

jgw~ 9 lbs is wonderful and tweaking it to suit your needs is even better! I firmly believe that it's all about finding what works for each of us. There just isn't a one size fits all kind of plan. You're doing great, so you've obviously figured out what works!

pmartin6618~

Deb~ Your daughter is beautiful!! My second oldest graduated from college in May. How do they grow up so fast???? You and I are at almost the same weight!!

I released another 1.2 last night! It's just amazing to me how much faster the weight comes off with the juice. I can follow the same exact plan, and do the same exact things, and will only lose a few ounces per day without the hcg, but with the hcg I lose SOOO much faster. It still boggles my mind!

I lost some lowcarbing and hcg. My stats are incorrect and I need to change them. I am now 189 as of this morning...trying to get back to my siggy weight.
The last time I did Hcg I got down to 175 went on P3 and just went wild. My son started college this fall and I thought he would have problems adjusting but it was the other way round "me".
I'm getting back on track now with the help of you all and LCF's.

Deb, I'm still tweaking it and it's only been 11 days so 'the jury is still out'!! Started at 206.5 and got down to 202.5, but then the stricter I get at calories and carbs the more I don't lose! ARGH. My ongoing average calorie intake is at 750 now and almost every day is under 20 carbs and I'm still taking the juice.

Honestly, yesterday I decided I'm just going to go full throttle with low carb and keep taking the juice FOR NOW, at least the bottle I already bought. With the bounty of food ahead for Thanksgiving and Christmas, well, I will be watchful but also enjoy the festivities. Would be nice to step foot into ONEderland before year's end, but I have to stop spinning my wheels first ... and the wheels appear to be stuck in the mud at the moment! Need to come up with a big KICK START!

Odd that the first four days of 'Round 5 P2' I dropped 2 1/2 pounds like it was nothing ... and have really been waffling ever since! Anyhow, it's just an ongoing lifestyle now and I can and will live low carb for life and health and use the hHCG as part of that plan until I decide it's not helping. That's my update!

Good morning all......Sassy had a good checkup at OSU yesterday. We don't have to go back for a year!! Woohoo!! Hubby thinks that is too soon.....long drive, food and gas cost twice as much as the exam cost($40 for a very thorough canine opthalmology exam). But preserving her sight is worth that yearly expense to me! She would be blind in a few years if we hadn't sought treatment, by our local vet's recommendation.
I told my daughter who has been dieting with me about my rogue hhcg plans....she is going to join me(did it with me before but it made her sick, tummy upsets, etc.), but she said she will stop if it bothers her. But us trying it together should help both of us.
I think we will start this weekend......our SS class always has breakfast the first Sunday of the month, so I would rather be loading than being in the first few days of my rogue round!
I'm trying to read as much as I can, but it is overwhelming and so time consuming! Need to get off here and get to walking....but I'm very interested in finding more info in the OWL plan mentioned, and VioletSkye's ww/rogue plan experiment....DD and I have been doing ww since our attempt at hhcg the end of June......
Going to walk...will read more later!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

I'm trying my hardest not to stress over the protocol this round. The excitement of losing rapid weight makes me a little overwhelm... it's like I want it all gone in the NOW!!!, lol. I need a valium or something to keep me calm for the next 20 days .

I SO hope and pray I can make it to the finish line... I usually give up in the second week. Please pray for me ladies. Thank you!!!

That is odd Marci! I wonder if your body just would prefer more calories? Eating that low in cals/carbs you should be really losing... strange...

I think you have a the right idea and make it a lifestyle now and go with the flow... the drops certainly won't hurt you, and I hope they help soon!!

Enjoy your yummy low carb food!

You're right. I shouldn't complain about a loss; I guess I was just hoping for those big first-day-back numbers.

My hubs tries to help out all he can (low self-esteem means low libido for me, so he's all about helping me boost my confidence). He even offers to eat away from me, but I feel even more deprived then because I miss out on "family supper time." I still sit at the dinner table with him and DD, and yes, it's very hard sometimes. On the bright side, he's preparing most of his and DD's dinners while I diet, so at least I get out of that chore, lol. And he tries to choose things that aren't my absolute favorites. When he eats something sweet, however, I definitely leave the room! Last night, I left the living room
and got on the computer while he had some Halloween candy.
You sound like I do! I basically leave the room when I see them eating anything to tempt me.

Let's try to not fret tho! I think this keeps me from losing....STRESS!

I am back at my pre-load weight. But I have one question. Is everyone eating the grapefruit/apple with each meal?

To top it all off, our county was having computer problems when I arrived there at 9am yesterday morning to vote, so we had to give up and go back at 6:30 last night. Then I had to stand around for another 30 minutes on my very sore feet. I can say...my feet are SO much less sore than when I did this same job last January at 200 ? pounds. I've also noticed my feet are less fat? I didn't think they were fat in the first place, but they are looking a bit gaunt. I have hyperlineation of the feet and hands due to my inherited dry skin condition, (kids told me I had granny hands when I was 11), so they are looking ancient but skinny. I fit into an old pair of size 7 shoes at church on Sunday, and wore a size 14 dress! Think I'll go share that on the NSV thread.

Today I'm going to really work on eating right. For some reason the past few days I've had difficulty finishing my meals. I really believe I need to get the minimum 500 calories in for my health.

Everyone have an awesome day!
Please eat even if later at nite. You definitely need AT LEAST the 500 cals!!

And WTG on your NSV!!!!

I didn't have a lot I wanted to lose, I mostly wanted to get to around 120-125 and "lock that weight in." I've really only lost about 5 lbs. but I've been eating more like 800 cals. a day. So, now I want to manage P3 so I don't gain that weight back.

Meanwhile my husband has lost 50 lbs. and is doing GREAT! This was his second protocol and should be his last. He's hit his goal weight. He made it look so easy during his first protocol, I was seduced into doing it too. We've had VERY different experiences.

Anyway, thanks for having this place to come, learn, and stay motivated.

Glad to hear Sassy is doing!

Ok, I've been all over that Omaha Med Spa site and cannot find any more info than I saw in the beginning and definitely no 32 pages of information! OY VAY. Ah well, I DID read a testimony on the site from another doc who tried Dr. Abbott's OWL which was pretty interesting ... BUT he said flat out that taking hcg orally doesn't work and he was talking about the Rx!!! Geesh. So much for expanding your horizons!!

But he DOES use a transdermal Rx hcg cream! Never heard of that before.

I know one thing, Dr. Abbott's clinic is firmly into ONLY Rx and ONLY injections and is VERY expensive. Still, it's nice to read the info on the site just the same.

Nice loss!! You've done very well and I'm glad you're doing it your way. It;s been much easier for me to stick to a LC, higher fat version. I am liking the VLC 2 weeks, then maintain a week, then lose again. It usually works out with my life too. There's usually some social activity that LC works better than low calorie. So, we'll see where I end up. Maintaining will be tough I suspect.

Deb-Love your Avi!! Pretty lady!!! How can that be your dd? You look so young!!

Meek-you're doing great!! Glad to see you here! I recognize you from the ML.

I'm doing well. Back to VLC. I've been running so much this week I've had protein shakes for dinners, which works well for me. Chicken something for lunch, slightly larger portions, and cream in my coffee I dropped 1.2 overnight. Down to 161.8 this morning!! Hope to see the 150's by the end of the week!! Yeah for hHCG!!

BBL ...
