P2 lotion???
I saw on another thread that there is a P2 approved lotion. Is this true? What is it?
I've been using baby oil, but only have one bottle. Finally went and got some travel size bottles to fill and put everywhere I wash my hands, so that I can put it on after every time I wash my hands (which is a lot since I have little kids). Anyhow, my hands are cracked and bleeding, but are starting to get better now that I've got baby oil everywhere. But... if there is a lotion I could be using, I would be in heaven. Please let me know. Thanks! |

Just make sure on the list of ingredients it has no oils!! You can use any oil free lotion. I found on clearance at my Kroger grocery the Johnson & Johnson baby oil lotion. That is what I have and use. My hands are awfully dry using it though, but I only use it once a day after the shower. Maybe if I were using it more often it would work on these dried out hands, but nah. I will wait til P3 and get my coconut oil lotion out then.
Vaseline is also P2 friendly if you have really, really bad dry and cracked skin. I use that on my lips that are so sorely chapped. HTH!!

may i suggest AQUAPHOR? ive been using it for years, since 1995. a little bit goes a long way, and a bottle last forever. i buy both the tub and the baby aquaphor, bacause the baby aquaphor is purse sized. its a lanolin(wool wax) no fat and has mineral oil which is approved on P2. please dont mind the price because its quality stuff.

I used an oil free face lotion by nuetrogena (sp?) I just left my hands & they got really bad. But I suffered through it. You could use the face lotion if there's nothing else. I didn't think lanolin was p2 safe but maybe it works for some.

Thanks everyone for your replies/suggestions. My body seems to be really sensitive, so my support gal (who I got the drops from) has recommended I stay away from petrolatum (petroleum jelly). I'm not sure if it affects me or not, but just in case I'm staying away.
I was using this Swiss Creme that had petrolatum, mineral oil and 2 other okay ingredients in it. It didn't seem to affect me, but I'm not really sure. Maybe I'll do more experimenting with it next round... or maybe I'll get some oil free face lotion from Neutrogena and use that... or maybe I'll just stick with my baby oil. Has anyone else had a problem with petrolatum/petroleum jelly? Is it a kind of oil or not? I'd love to hear feedback. Thanks! |
