I can tell you that I had a 10 day stall my first round...with no weight loss (bouncing around) due to cheating 3 or 4 days. And yes, I didn't eat crazy, just 800 calories instead of 500.

But with your body used to the protocol, it makes a difference. All I can say is I really regret every wasted day! My second round I didn't cheat at all...also added in the cottage cheese because that's what I was missing my first round, cheese.

Eat clean today and it will be right off!

Hi KOO.

I'm getting caught up here and I thought I'd add my 2 cents to what Peggy said. I too think maybe M should eat a little more.

I am on my 2nd P3 and at times find myself eating just for the calories - somewhat loading-like. I feel that, for me, stabilizing in P3 at the highest possible calories will help me long term. After each round, I think I will need less and less calories to maintain, so I want this rounds maintenance calories to be as high as possible. Does that make sense? That way, I hope, when I am done, I can eat a good amount of food without worries of gaining.

So, I put the idea (however tantalizing) of additonal losses aside and work at P3 almost as hard as I did P2.

I think you both are working hard at this and doing a great job together. I hope you know that nothing I said is intended as a criticism - my opinion only.

Quit beating yourself up about the past, and take your 2 pound loss, and smile. We learn from our past mistakes, and hopefully, remember what NOT to do in the future.

And, yes...Stacey....it has to be the sodium. Drink lots of water today...like more water than you ever have. You'll be good tomorrow morning.

I forgot about it too...until last night...when I was thinking of the whoosh fairy. Then, I thought of Stacey, but it was already late last night. I guess that it was too late to tell her.

Hi! R2P2VLCD2. I'm happy to say that I've released all my vacation weight. I saw a 2.2 drop last night (6.6 total this round ) so I'm at pre-vacation weight. I'm still 6 lbs above my LDW from R1, but hopefully that will come off soon and I can enter new territory.

That's what I'm sayin!

So, I guess I'll just stick to on protocol today with lots of water. I really hope the hunger doesn't come back.

Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't eat too much extra yesterday since I was SO hungry. I haven't been that hungry since the first few days. It was really weird.

But seriously, TWO pounds? WTH?

It's not like I totally went off plan and had a carb fest... This really sucks. I wanted to be in the 150's this week! Where's the temper tantrum smiley?

P'd off and contemplating an apple day...

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast: coffee with stevia
Snack: apple
Lunch: Hamburger and cabbage, 2 Melba's (I made enough hamb/cabbage for my daughter too, she didn't finish her's, I finished it for her)
Snacks: apple and walden f chocolate, extra grissini, 2 pieces of deli ham
Dinner: Chicken breast and sautéed cabbage, sesame grissini
Dessert: sliced strawberries with stevia
Oh, Stacey, it HAS to be water! There's no way there are 7,000 extra calories in yesterday's menu (which would be 2 lbs., as I'm sure you know). Melbas = sodium. Deli ham=sodium. Cabbage = sodium (if you cooked with seasoning, which I'd about bet you did). Don't panic yet. Drink lots of water today, and I bet tomorrow will be much better to you!

ETA: Oops, I missed Angela's response, which is basically the same as mine. LOL, great minds and all!

Yes!!!! Half of your weight in ounces of water. AND...if you have any drinks with caffeine, drink that many ounces of water...above the half of your weight in ounces amount.

You have been doing a wonderful job at working protocol. I'm sure that you will do great today, and you'll see the results tomorrow!!!!

I'm sorry that I didn't remember the hunger/ whoosh fairy thing until late last night. Now, that I am on the subject of the Whoosh Fairy...another thing that I remember...sometimes, I have noticed that when walking, or riding in the car (hitting little bumps in the road), I feel extra jiggly. I, always, seem to have a big loss within the next couple of days.

My losses are never constant. They seem to come in whooshes, and then, nothing for awhile. We'll have to see if it is any different with hHcg.

Congrats to all who lost yesterday, it is really nice to have all the different opinions and help that you get here.

I am down another 2.2 pounds this morning so a total of 7 this week.

The 1st vlcd my calories were 488 for the day, 2nd vlcd calories were 518 but I had lean hamburger the 2nd day but only had one apple and toast, I know that you are suppose to have 500 calories a day so do you add more veggies or protein to get to the 500 calories?

I am sure the gain is from the sodium in the deli ham, and any seasoning you may have added to the hamburger just drink lots of water today and you will probably have a huge loss tomorrow.

It's non protocol but I add more protein. Some of my days were 300 calories or less without the fruit and melba, and 200 calorie portions of cucumbers is almost 4 pounds of cucumbers. Again it's not protocol, but I feel really good with the additional protein. And my losses were not very good with the calories that low. Again, I'd add that I only dropped the fruit/melba because of blood sugar/hunger/candida issues, which most people don't have.

Great job! If you are satisfied and not hungry I wouldn't worry about it. I've done multiple rounds and never really counted calories. I just followed the food plan - 3.5 ounces of protein, 1 fruit, 1 melba, and veggies at each meal. I figure that as long as you are around the 500 calories you are fine. If you want to be as close as possible, either add another strawberry and a couple more pieces of veggie.

Good example of how one must twist the protocol to fit individual/specific health issues!!!!

Thanks Gracie I will experiment with the extra veggies.

Yesterday I wasn't hungry but I am sure that it is from the fat in the lean hamburger, the day before it was chicken and I was starving but then again it was the 1st day after loading.

I had closer to 2 cups of cabbage but it was only 32 calories, I am keeping track of everything I eat to make sure that I am eating within the calories and also to track how much weight I lose with the different foods.

Just a quick fly by ladies but wanted to say good morning and report in.

TOM firmly here and I tried some Melba toast - was thinking this AM was going to be a slight gain in the scale. I actually released a half a pound!

For what it's worth, I don't eat the apple any more nor chicken. I am one of those who likes fresh, hot food right away and I eat 93% lean hamburger off the George grill. filet mignon and/or 1 egg/egg white. My veggies are raw, just a handful and I allow myself a little extra strawberrie since I skip the apple. Seems to work. I also don't use broth as it makes me retain water. The chicken stalled me. Wierd but true.

Anyway...have a wonderful AM - I will be back later after Bible study.

Well, I ordered more drops. If they get here in time, I might keep going. I'm really struggling to lose. I had an absolute clean day yesterday, and Bernice showed up, and yet I still gained .2. Maybe I didn't have enough water. IDK. I am at 155.5 today. Maybe this is a former set-point, and it is going to take some time.

You are very close to your goal and those last 10 pounds always seem to take forever!! Have you been measuring your inches? I would bet you are losing inches like crazy. Just relax and don't stress about it - our bodies don't like to lose if we are stressed. Stick to protocol and let it work - look how far you've already come!!!

but first of all- hello all! im new to the forum and going on one week on my first round of HCG following the simeons protocol. Buuttt i have a few questions

Im only losing like .5lb a day after the first two days of VLCD where i lost like 2lbs each day, not sure if i should be expecting more?? I started at 166.9 and am down to 158.5 this morning and tomorrow will be day 7. Any thoughts if thats on track?

I've been drinking 2-3L of plain water daily and to be honest havent been eating my full amount of calories due to me simply not being hungry and almost feel like i have to FORCE the food. Should i be trying for more water maybe? Or pushing myself to eat the full 500 calories?

Thanks for any advice you can give me!
AVERAGE for women is .5 a day i know some sites tell you more but .5 a day average so 11.5 pounds on a 23 day round is what is expected anything above that is just bonus

Good morning!! Sounds like most of you had nice releases!! I'm pretty happy, I'm down a lb this morning myself. I didn't think I would be, since I lost 1lb the day before, but I'm thrilled!!

Stacey-hang in there. Try not to obsess over the scale today. Tomorrow it will be better, but I know how hard it is!

Torister- Sorry about the tooth. Hope you heal quickly!!

Chouter-I just got my drops yesterday. Took a week to arrive!! I wasn't out yet though, I ordered early in case I want to keep going. We'll see. You're doing great, and if that's a set point you will probably need to whack away at it. Keep thinking positive.

I hope you all have a great day. I had a protein shake for dinner last night and am pretty hungry already this morning. I had my coffee, but just had "lunch" and it's only 10:00am. Hope the hunger subsides. I need to dose since I haven't yet this morning.

Morning all! M stayed the same today as she was yesterday, so that is good. She had the Atkins shake for Breakfast, then when I picked her up from school I picked up two bunless Whopper Jrs. for her to eat before her dental appointment. After getting out of there we picked up steak for dinner w/ a side of mushrooms sauteed in butter. We also found some Almond butter (since the peanut butter is out in P3) and she had a large tablespoon of it as a nighttime snack. Peggy thanks again for your help yesterday. Hugs to you on getting that tooth pulled.

Never had it before. Had it tonight (sauteed in chicken broth) with my steak and yummo! I can't believe I waited until the end of this round to try it, but at least I'll know to make it for my next round (after Christmas)! I'm trying to drink water like a madwoman now because it was really salty (the chicken broth + silly me added more salt before tasting). Yay, cabbage!
Cabbage sauteed in Bragg's Amino stuff or Onions sauteed in the Amino was M's two favorite sides. I tended to go a little too heavy on the Amino and it would get salty tasting and then I'd have to add a little water to tune it down some. The salt never slowed her down though.

Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate all criticism and opinions. I couldn't have gotten through this with M without everyone's help and I try to pay it forward when I can. I get what you are saying about the calories and I tried to get her to eat some cauliflower with dinner along with her mushrooms to get more calories in but she got full up on the steak and probably a half stick of butter the mushrooms were cooked in.
She had that tablespoon of Almond butter after dinner and thinking now she did have an Atkins shake before bed so pretty sure she got enough calories in for the day.

Congrats to all those in P2 with nice releases and those who maintained in P3.

Sorry to have been MIA for so long!! It has been quite busy for us over here, which is unusual. But I have been reporting in on the do over thread. I have stayed at 121.something since Sat. That is 5 days, 5 days too long for me!, so I am doing an apple day today. I have been at this weight for half my round and need to do something to get it going again. So I will be eating apples and having no water. I have gotten my 2 32 oz water in as well as 2 cups of coffee before the noon hour so I am good to go!! Good thing I like apples. I am looking for a nice whoosh in the AM. Now, to look at what I have missed since this thread started this week. Happy Wednesday everyone!!!!

I hope that you measured, and took before pictures. I'm excited to read about your overall successes!!! You are doing great. Hang in there, and stick with the people here. They are wonderful people.
Thank you for your kind words!! I did measure, and have lost about 10 inches overall. I have some before pic's, but nothing that i posed for.

I might be on a video though- haha- my company is shooting some internal thing, and they were looking for someone to lip sync a shena easton song. i cant believe i said yes. .... ugh.

Just checking in, congrats everyone on your losses so far. Well I've hit the dreaded plateau that the good dr describes, the one where you at one point maintained a certain weight for a long time, I'M THERE. I'm thinking about heading into P3 since I'm no longer losing, and I'm experiencing hunger again. It's day 35 for me of P2 first round which leaves me 8 days of the 43 day protocol, I'm so undecided what to do at this point. Should I stick out the 8 days or just go ahead and move into P3, what do you ladies think?

I am happy to see everyone's progress and look forward to getting to know all of you.
Today is my first day w/drops.
And I gotta tell ya~ Those must work fast with the detoxing cause I took them yesterday evening and this morning both followed w/headache.
Is that common w/these?

I did read that it is okay to take some aspirin so I am gonna do that today.

How many days has it been since you have lost? 4-6 days would constitute an apple day. Have you tried that?

If it's been 4-6 days that you haven't lost anything, I'd do the apple day tomorrow, and finish your 43 day round. BUT...it depends on how YOU feel. If your head is all ready out of it, then...maybe...move on to P3?

Are you loading? If it's your first day with drops I am assuming you are loading. I didn't have detox until after I loaded. If you load with good fats and stay away from the carbs/sugars you should be fine. You can take aspirin for the headache. Have fun loading and remember to stuff yourself because you are going to be in P2 for at least 23 days You want those fat cells to be really full before eating vlcd.
