Well...I am a skeptic!!!!

Food looks good, did you have an easier time today? I take potassium twice a day because I was feeling lightheaded and also getting some muscle cramps since I started with the potassium I haven't had any of those issues.

Hello everybody. Well, I finally decided to make an appearance after lurking for a few weeks. I am on Simeon's Protocol, R1P2VLCD15, and have lost 12 lbs so far I was NOT a skeptic coming into this program as my DD BF was on the program with excellent results. This had inspired me.

I was so happy that I found this board and really appreciate everyone's input, It's very useful and is beyond words

Anyway, I'm just now figuring out which foods I can't tolerate, which ones taste the best, and what seems to be working, they're so many variables. I DO know that the Bragg's Liquid Amino is OUT, as it caused me to BLOAT, cabbage, as well. I will try the cabbage once more but all chopped up mixed with hamburger this time, just to be sure.

I went to Target today to buy a new digital scale as mine was the older bouncy bouncy model. Boy was I in for a surprise when I stepped on my scale My weight jumped up 5 lbs, something I wasn't expecting Oh well, it ONLY adds an extra week is all. I guess I can't complain.

So, you lurkers out there that are about to jump on Simeon's Bandwagon might consider buying your "new" scale BEFORE you start.

What else...hmm

I read the board every day, sometimes more than once. I took my before pics a little late, but heh, better late than never. Thanks a bunch ladies and gents for all your insight, comments, and comradery

~Carol

PS: Eventually, I'll figure out why some of my sentences are separated in the preview.

Thanks for stopping in; you've, already, given some good advice.

If people are thinking about getting a different scale...they should do so before they start any new way of eating, or diet. If not, just be aware that you may have a "new" weight.

How long ago did your daughter's boyfriend do Hcg, or hHcg? If it was a while ago, how has he been with maintenance?

I hope that you are through with lurking now, and will stop in and say: "hello" often!!!! The experiences of other people is very helpful for those reading.

Congrats on the 12 pound loss!!!!

LOST AND FOUND

How long ago did your daughter's boyfriend do Hcg, or hHcg? If it was a while ago, how has he been with maintenance?

He was on the program last year, I remember he just got off around Thanksgiving. He lost around 45 lbs in several months time and I just learned that he has since put on almost half of it drinking beer, wouldn't you know!?!

I hope that you are through with lurking now, and will stop in and say: "hello" often!!!! The experiences of other people is very helpful for those reading.

Done lurking

Congrats on the 12 pound loss!!!!

Thank you!

Say, I'm trying to figure out how to use the quote mechanism properly without many unnecessary posts. Any help you can give would be much appreciated

Welcome Carol! You and I have about the same stats!! However, I am on VLCD21 and am stalled once again. I have only lost 13.5 in the 21 days and the majority of those were in the 1st week. I"m trying to decide how much longer I can do P2 and not end up in divorce court. =-) Anyhoo- WELCOME

On the bottom right corner of each post you want to quote there are three buttons. The middle one has quotation marks. Press it for each post you want to quote and it will change color to red, but nothing else will happen until you hit the "post reply" button (do this when you are done choosing posts you want to quote). Then when you press "post reply", a new reply window will show up with all the posts you want to quote already entered with the [ quote ] tags applied. Then find the sections you want to reply to, edit out the stuff you don't need to trim the posts and to just keep the stuff you are directly reply to, and there you have it!

Me: R2P2VLCD7. Stayed the same. I walked around the MOA yesterday so maybe that's it. My iMac's hard drive is dying and my spreadsheet got messed up, so I lost my weights from the last 4 days. I had to guess, but I think I am the same weight or maybe 0.02 up. Oh well, I expected to have a day like this sooner or later. I did have cabbage last night so who knows. Have a great day everyone!

I have no problem on it. When I make the pumpkin bake each slice is about 5 or 6 carbs and I limit myself to one. Some people choose to wait on it. I go by Atkins on P3 and just keep an eye on my total carbs. Generally keep to around 30-40 carbs per day (total, not net).

So are you close to the border?
Aggie class of '92 (WHOOP!)

The border to OK's a couple hours north of here...but honestly have only driven by once on the way to Kansas/Missouri 10 years ago. Living here, we only drive South. Have a sis in Watagua (north of FT Worth), and other sis was in Houston (woodlands) but now in San Antonio. Folks are in Arlington and Mansfield. Course, my twin and I haven't lived in the same city since college.

I like my current rural area, but miss both the diversity and the relaxed atmosphere of San Antonio. So wish my DH hadn't wanted to move. He said he wanted to see family more often, but honestly, we saw them much more often with a 5 hour drive than a 1 hour. Everyone wanted to visit us when we lived in San Antonio!

Up .4 today thanks to TOM in the house (day 3).

Oh well, will be back down tomorrow.

I'm up 2lbs from yesterday after a dive off the LC train and into a bit of a pig out, but I didn't eat 7000 calories, so some is water wt and it'll be gone quickly. So, I'm not going to worry about it. I'm back on the train again today.
