HCG Non Simeon's Week of Oct 18-24

Hi and WELCOME to everyone!

This is a thread to discuss those of us using HCG and following our own paths, doing our own experiments, or following the original Simeons Protocol as written.

We wanted a place to talk about what we are doing no matter what it is... anyone and everyone are welcome to join in the discussion or just read and maybe take some ideas away..

Here is a link to our original thread:

Hi everyone, just wanted to start this off today with a quick post .. I had my low cal day yesterday, very close to a P2 day. I had around 600 cals. Knocked off another .8 even though I am up 3 hours earlier today..and FINALLY I am below 210!!! so I am happy..

Today will be my VLCARB day.. probably around 1200- 1400 cals. and less than 10 carbs.

In case anyone did not know what I was doing...I am cycling cals/carbs while taking hHCG. I do have to work again today, but something tells me I will be popping in again this morning...

Have a wonderful day all!!...

Confessional Monday morning....I ate off plan (very much so Saturday night as you all know) sort of off plan yesterday, stomach cramps TOM is close AND Bernice has not visited in about three days! And let's not forget how tight my rings are this morning, very bloated. All that aside I am up a whopping 4 pounds this a.m. There is no way I over ate by 4 pounds... heck I only gained 2 during monsterous loading days. I am going to be sticking as close to VLC with only components of the plan as I possibly can this week to get back on track. Lesson learned on going off track (as far as overindulging) just one time b/c it creates a snow ball. So irritated with myself this morning. Happy Monday everyone!!

Count me in as irritated with myself. I've been off the reservation for a couple of weeks and I didn't take my drops this weekend...so I am WAY up this morning.

Ok.....I'm officially starting protocol again today....I'm going to do the cycling...so this week I want to keep it around 800 cal and next week I'll start to switch it up but I have got to get this extra weight off.

I did find it interesting that the couple of weeks I was doing the drops and not sticking to plan I basically maintained.....this weekend I didn't take them and ballooned up 5lbs....so there is something to the drops.

I got a new bottle of drops too...same company as before..but I need to get my head in the game....the boyfriend announced he wants us to go on vacation in the early spring to Disney and possibly spring training for Red Sox....I'm very excited about that but I won't be going fat!

I've been busy and not reading the boards so I think that's been helping me ignore protocol and think I can just eat and still lose....I'm such a goofball sometimes...so..wasted 2 weeks. I'm here and being honest...don't do what I did!

I am going back to ww this saturday so I have some accountability to someone....I can't be to myself....I'm a brat...I need someone/thing keeping me in line. I do miss the support from the meetings and I would love to finally reach my goal and get my lifetime membership and not pay anymore!

Good morning! I did very well yesterday. I indulged but not overly since I told myself that I was aloud to eat anything that I wanted in moderation. I ate the tandoori chicken some vegetables, salad w/yogurt dressing, and spinach. I was pleasantly full. The movie was excellent. I saw Social Network yesterday. I recommend it...such an interesting movie! I indulged in some chocolate toffee balls and candy corn. Since I had such a rich lunch I decided to have a salad with homemade dressing for dinner. I fought off the urge to have another chocolate because after my afternoon nap I had a "snack attack". Sugar sets me off to want more sugar so I had a sugar cookie and a small piece of cheesecake. I did not feel guilty about it because I ate the sweets because I wanted them. In most cases before the HHCG i would have eaten the entire cheesecake and 5 sugar cookies. So, I am happy that I know my triggers and what to avoid if I need to stay strict with myself. I typically only allow one day per week to have a "free day", otherwise, I keep the carb count down and the calories cycling. Good luck to everyone this week. I will post my loss on Friday since I weigh once a week.

I do appreciate the support and the understanding. If I thought for one minute I'd be chastized for being honest about going off I'd not have even said a word...no one wants to be kicked when they are down...I can do that all by myself

I think I wanted to test the hcg to see how much I can get away with...and I can't...lol I have to be pretty good on protocol if I want to lose....the carbs just aint working for me and I knew it..I've always known it....but I'm stubborn.

So....water, water and more water today to get this water weight off hopefully in the next couple of days.

On the up side...I ate a lot while I was "maintaining" which I found amazing....I don't suppose we can live on this stuff forever lol

Morning peeps! Deb....you are a natural born leader and encourager and motivator! SO glad you are here and taking the lead for us gang of misfits! Heh. Thanks for all you do, girl!

I did a Shake Correction Day yesterday and did good until about 9 p.m. last night and finally took some bites of my egg salad. Down a pound today, but not sure the pain was worth a pound. I dropped a pound the day BEFORE without a correction day, just by lowering carbs. I think MY correction days are just NO to LOW CARBS!

I like your plan Deb, and mine is a lot like it except I can't/wont/don't do the medium or higher carbs at all. I will stay very low carb always. In fact, I'm going to ditch the fruit and 'bread' for the most part and esp. for the Round 5 experiment!

That's the news from my part of the world! Don't worry BE HAPPY!!!

Sounds good Jen! I really do think the hHCG helps with the ability to STOP... at least it does for me.. so you have a wonderful day and week ahead!!

I love your attitude girl! I also wonder if we can live on this stuff forever... Well if not, then at least we can learn a few things on our way down the scale... and maintaining is one of them.. you did good!!

I am also the QUEEN of being stubborn, hence my experiment... Good luck this week Colleen!!

Aweee MARCI!! thanks hon, and I happen to think you are a wondeful motivater and add so much fun and humor to our threads, so I am happy you are posting each day!!

I totally get your plan to stay away from High Carb days... some just really don't do well and why even continue to try something that obviously disagrees with your body? So you have a great plan and I can't wait to see it in action..

A Shake day huh? Wow you are one strong lady! Congrats on the loss!!! I have also found just lowing my carbs will take off the weight, now that I have the juice anyway. Before the juice I ran into a 2 year drought of not being able to lose anything that would STICK. So happy to have found this stuff...

Have a marvelous day Marci!!

Well the planets must have been aligned in such a way that we all had weekend snack attacks! My daughter and son in law visited this weekend (food!) and then we attended another son and daughter in laws baby shower at a Pizza Parlor last night. I had ONE slice of pizza and the toppings from another so think i did ok. Drank diet pop like I was a fish, which helped. Here is a pic of my daughter and her niece ( my granddaughter )making a Haunted Gingerbread house at my house on Sat.

I am doing protocol this week (low cals and only sticking to P & I meals)....and I beg that scale to be nice to me this week

So 197 today....let's see how much of that was water weight when I weigh in tomorrow.....

Welcome back Colleen!!!!

You know what, when I went off the drops for the surgery (and a few days later) I was eating off protocol. I lie, I was eating anything I wanted and the gains just kept going up and up. With the juice, I don't see the gain as fast? Something definitely to the drops for sure!!!

Glad you are back and GL with your tweaks! I'll be following ya

WTG on fighting the urge!!!

BTW - I want to see that movie! Glad you liked it!!!

Looks like we all had the same type of weekend! I weighed in at +0.2 this morning as well, but know it is due to water. Went for a ride to see fall foliage yesterday and ended up eating way too many cashews the hubby bought me. He means well, bless his heart. Then we went for dinner, but the only thing that even counded apealing was the shrimp ceasar salad, but I know carbs were way higher than I wanted. Ate it all anyway.

Between the rib-eye on Saturday, the wings on Friday and a monster salad Sunday a .2 increase is to be expected. Back on the horse and planning on a better week.

Disney is a MAJOR motivator for me as well! I will be there in Nov doing the parks then a cruise. In January, I will be sailing their new ship for a work convention. In March I will be at the parks and cruising again with hubby and friends.

Conventions in the past were on land and no one saw me in shorts or a bathing suit. This cruise convention is a whole 'nother ball of wax! I will not be fifty and fat, I will not be fifty and fat!

Good morning all!!

You're so busy already this morning!!

to those who are up this morning. You all seem to know exactly what it was, that it's not "real" weight and you know how to get it right back off. This will be a good week!! We'll lower our cals/carbs etc. and kick some pounds to the curb!!

Deb-thanks for the weekly thread. This is much more manageable for me at least . And congrats on your loss

I went away this weekend and b/c of rain ate out WAY more than I planned to. So, this morning, I was the same weight as when I left. I juiced all weekend. I have no idea how many calories I ate this weekend, but I know it was def. higher than protocol. I was careful and LC, and am very happy to have maintained.

So, this week I'm dropping my cals, and keeping my carbs low. Looking for a few lbs to leave . We'll see.

Hope you all have a great Monday!!

I have been kind of afraid to post this, because not wanting to discourage everyone that is doing so well, but I have been feeling really sick since I started taking the drops-lightheaded, kind of depressed, crabby, etc. Plus, I haven't lost any weight, gained 8 pounds on the loading days, and have onlyh taken off 6 of that.
Here's the stranger stuff-I am losing size-about 4 inches each off waist, rear and belly, which makes me know this is doing something-the first week I figured out I wasn't eating enough, about 300 cals a day.Heck, I even gained 2 lbs on an apple correction day. Next week I upped the protein and dropped the melba tst and apples. I am just totally carb intolerant. Started feeling a little better. I am not hungry, so that part is working, too.
This week I am thinking maybe decrease the drops to 20 a day????Or take them further apart in the day-am and bedtime????And I am definitely going to try Deb's calorie cycling....course if I try too many things at once, I won't know what helps.( I think I am mumbling to myself while typing.)
Hoping for some of that energy to show up, it is nice not to be hungry.
If any of you here, or lurkers, could share some experience on this I sure would appreciate your input, it is all so different from what everyone else seems to be experiencing.

I had planned on having a bit of extra protein yesterday since I was going to the gym and because I was hoping it would persuade my body to release a little extra weight. Well, my extra protein day didn't go as planned because when I opened the frig to flip my steak (I had put it in a bowl with some yummy marinade the night before), it wasn't there. It took me a minute to realize I had put it BACK in the freezer the night before instead of putting in in the frig! HCG brain! So, long story short, I didn't have enough meat thawed to have an extra portion, so what I did was eat a wedge of cheddar with my apple right before leaving for the gym. It did the trick. I had a nice workout (1 mile on treadmill, 1 mile on elliptical, and used some of the lower body weight machines) and still felt good afterwards.

B: hamburger patty, sf ketchup
L: none
S: apple, wedge of cheddar cheese
D: chuck tender steak, whole onion sauteed in chicken broth
Calories: 496

I was only down 0.2 this morning. I guess I've gotten to that bad 3rd week people have talked about. Ah well. I'll take a loss over a gain or a stall! Today's weight is 206.4, down 17.6 lbs. in 18 days.

Actually it seems like you're doing quite well and things you are experiencing are very common too! Are you just starting this? I mean light headed, crabby, etc. are definitely detox symptoms! I always get crabby, bloated, gain weight with too many carbs ... and now I'm ready to begin LOW CARB and CALORIE CYCLING on Round 5. I always felt best doing low carb too.

You taking B12? Potassium? Magnesium? Plenty of water? Tea, hot & cold? Make sure you get your minimum of 500, more protein if you need it. Lots of folks fiddle with the drops dosage until they find the 'sweet spot' that suits them perfectly.

The weight and inches are coming off wonderfully!!! It seems to me you're doing just fine! Don't ever be afraid to ask for help and advice here ... that's the whole purpose of this, to help folks along the journey!

Deb you are the bestest! Whoohoo for being under 210, I'll be there someday.

Lesson learned on going off track (as far as overindulging) just one time b/c it creates a snow ball. So irritated with myself this morning. Happy Monday everyone!!
Definately water water water! The longer I'm on HCG the less I snowball just stay positive.

Nice to see you again. Wow you have some good motivation, sounds like fun! I know what you mean about accountability, that's what I use this thread for

LOL my doc said I should just stay pregnant forever & my metabolism would work right. @ least the HCG is more feasible

I went off plan, but I did not totally derail, so those planets best change their alignment.

I am doing protocol this week (low cals and only sticking to P & I meals)....and I beg that scale to be nice to me this week

So 197 today....let's see how much of that was water weight when I weigh in tomorrow.....

Good to see we all are realizing what makes us gain the water weight & that it will be gone quickly!
