Starting again - My hCG diary
I eat so much fat and stuff in my low carb that I'm considering that two load days. I wouldn't do this except low carb completely stalls me and I'm broke so it fits in my food budget. LOL
I don't want to waste this bottle I bought so I'm going to try it again. I just read the cottage cheese and egg areas. These are 2 of my favorite foods. I don't know how to cook eggs without butter. Don't they taste bland and stick to the pan? |

Oh and when I originally started this a week ago it went like this:
Sept 4: 266 started atkins Oct 4: at 258 - received my hcg bottle. Started it but then pest came. Gained 5 pounds on the 2 day load. Oct: 5: now at 263 Oct 6: started again and dropped to 260 by the 8th. Oct 8: got incredibly board and hungry. Stopped taking hcg and did low carb. Oct 9: At 258. Ate 1300 cals on low carb but blew it on the amount of veggies. Oct 10: weighed in at 255 today. Started taking hcg again. I want to lose it and I don't want to sit at only 1 pound lost for a month like what happens on low carb sometimes. It's so frustrating. I'm going to TRY to stick with this for 21 days and see what happens. I'll drink chocolate almond milk if I get a craving. Grrrr. |

YOU CAN DO IT!!... I'm a living witness to that... I started at pre-load weight of 257-lbs. gained on my 3-load days (junk food really) to 262.6-lbs. and today after 13-days on hhcg my weight is 248.2-lbs. 14.4-lbs. loss and I feel GREAT!!!... I know the menu is bland... but it's only 3-WEEKS.. and then you can stablize with lowcarb (no matter if it stalls you or not... stablizing is what you want to do with hhcg)... THEN you can do P4 and then do another round of P2 and lose more weight.. and SO ON... AND SO ON... UNTIL YOU REACH GOAL... atleast this is my plan. (sorry for imposing my on wants on you). But stick with this for the entire 3-weeks.. and then decide if hcg is good for you or not?.... God Bless. |

Yes, This is gonna be such a ride! LOL I did HCG when My Food budget was low. it was so funny cause I ended up buying a lot more veggies than before!
The menu is limited but it does NOT have to be bland. I had some dishes full of flavor and had me sweating from spice. and filling soups, cause broth is not high calorie and is very satisfying even if it is fat free. Planning your meals, at least thinking about them the day before, helps to keep your sanity. And I for one did NOT stick to two meals. I would make a big dish with both my protein portions and as much of the veggies as i could get away with within calorie allowance and split it up into smaller meals so i could eat a little when i was hungry. Splittng the fruit up throughout the day helped me too, but i never exceeded the fruit allowance either. I found Grapefruit to be very satisfying and cheap in calories. You have an exciting journey ahead of you. Consider it with enthusiasm, and the challenges will seem small. Checkout the recipe thread if you haven't already. Simeon's Protocol Recipes Only

What are you doing to go 'off'? I'm curious, as I'm sure other would like to know how to tweak and still have it work. ~~~ Now, this is not a criticism of any "different way", but just a warning. I've been told by lots of friends that while they had success tweaking and losing during their phase 1, many of them discovered later that they had trouble stabilizing in P3. So I just wanna throw that out there, just in case you hadn't heard. it's not everyone but many people had that experience and had to repeat rounds because they couldn't stabilize afterward. I hope that doesn't happen. ![]() |

[QUOTE=metqa;13990704]When you say you "went off" do you mean you just went a bit over, or are you intentionally choosing a different calorie level or not counting at all?

Sure. I thought I'd mention it cause the insidiousness of it. The folks I talked to had done multiple rounds before, with success in P3 and P4 before starting recent rounds, but then they changed things ( I can't say what cause everyone does it differently) and then when they got to P3, they were like "WHOA! I can't stabilize at all", and I know they know how to stabilize because they did it once or twice before. Then they'd jump back into P2 to do another round straight and narrow, and then stabilize with no problem in P3.
It's kinda scary cause you won't know if what you do now will stump you later. |
