Question about P2 and P3

Hello Everyone,

I'm studying the book, "Pounds and Inches" I have not started the plan yet.

I understand that if I have more weight to lose, then I can stay on P2 for 40 days. Once I finish my last intake of HCG, then I need to stay on the 500 calorie plan until 3 days passes since my body is still under the influence of HCG... correct?

Then I need to keep my weight stable for 6 weeks and then I can move on to P4.

I do need to lose more weight, is it safe to stay on P3 for 6 weeks and then go back to P2 or can I stay on P3 and if my weight is stable for 3 weeks, then go back to P2? I just wanted to know how long I really do need to stay on P3 since I am not at ideal weight.

When I shift back to P2 from P3, do I need to have those 2 initial "pig-out" days?

Thank you
-Dustin

You can do 40 days or lose 35lbs which ever comes first, after that you do 2 500 calories days without drops it is 3 days at 500 calories if you do injections otherwise its 2 days. You can go and stay in P3 for 3 weeks and without starches and sugars for 3 weeks if you choose, some do it for a week or two then you can cycle back into P2 after 1 or 2 weeks in P3 and lose more. If your stay in P3 is under 14 days then you dont have to pig out if its 14 days or more then you load again.

I plan on doing 40 days on P2, 2 days VLCD w/ no drops, P3 for 7 days, then probably going right back to P2. I probably will not load again, but since my loading days will fall right on Thanksgiving, I might end up rethinking that depending on what my family's plans are. We haven't had an official Thanksgiving dinner in a few years, but if we do decide to get together this year then I probably will load for atleast Thanksgiving day.

dlyons I'm doing the 43 day P2 then I plan to do a 3 week P3 then cycle back for another round of P2 for 43 days, I do the RX HCG and am very happy with the results so far, I'm going into day 21 just about half way there. Best of luck to you and you found a great place to hang out and learn all there is to know about HCG..

tempted_by_food LOVE LOVE LOVE your losses you should be very proud, I can't wait for the day I can have a siggy with stats like yours...well I have to be a member for 25 days before I even get a siggy. But I hope one day my stats will be as great as yours!!

Hi Dustin! You can do up to 40 days or lose 34 lbs in P2 if you are following Dr Simeon's protocol as outlined in Pounds and Inches. Not everyone on this board follows his protocol. It can get confusing advice wise here as I am not sure who is following the P&I protocol and who is tweaking their own version. Also, those taking the homeopathic version of HCG can be on it much longer without fear of immunity to it.

If you are doing the RX HCG you stay on the 500 vlcd for 72 hours from last injection and then move into P3 for 3 weeks where you essentially start adding foods back into your diet...other than sugar and starches and this is where your hypothalmus is reset. After your 3 weeks of P3 you go into P4 where you add sugar and starches in moderation and than after this if you need to lose more weight you start another round of P2. I am starting my second round of P2 with loading days this weekend.

Best of luck to you...this diet is wonderful!!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your advice and suggestions. I just ordered my first 2 ml bottle of homeopathic HCG. I was looking at pro and cons of homeopathic HCG and settled on one that is recommended on here and have no alcohol added to it.

I am planning my first day this Saturday Oct 9 if I will receive the shipment on Friday. IF not, I will start when I get the shipment. I am still reading and still learning.

I just created a spreadsheet and listed all of the dates and I can start recording my weights and my mood. I will take the drops for 40 days or until I reach 34 pounds first and then cycle off for 14 days and then get right back on.

One more question... will it be OK if I use my crockpot to make the chicken and beef instead of grilling? I have mastered the art of cooking in my crockpot

Thank you
Dustin

Just an update: My biggest reason for this diet is to finally get rid of weight that I could not lose.... my body still hangs onto some weight. I have had good success on low carb diets so I am comfortable with this.

This sounds like I will want to do. I need to map it out on the calendar.

This thread is very helpful. Thanks everyone for sharing.

Yep
What I did was weighed my 100 grams of chicken out, tried to keep each 100 grams as one piece, chopped up celery, used water ( some use broth) and added a lot of spices from the cabinet. I then put each serving plus broth and estimated veggies in small cntrs - to freeze. The bay leaves and rosemary added a lot of flavor.

Welcome!

Hi Stevie Renee,

That is exactly what I wanted to do..... make multiple batches in my crockpot and grab those meals for work. I like to plan things for 2 or 3 days worth of food.

I'm starting to feel a little bit more prepared to start soon!

Very good. I know that I keep going back and forth about Disneyland next week. Glad it is just one day and not a full time situation like a lot of you all. Planning is key. Thinking I may take a piece of cold steak and an apple and bring in my own tea. lol

When do you start the program?

dlyons one of the biggest key's to make this easy and successful is by making sandwich bags, small tupperware like containers your best friend, weighing everything out, storing and cooking ahead makes it so much easier to stick to protocol and your less likely to cheat if all you have to do is grab your already weighed protein and veggie's!! My freezer has tons of little frozen baggies ready to go. Its really made it much easier for me anyhow.

Hi Stevie and MI2f,

Starting date is Oct 9 if my drops will arrive either today or tomorrow. It will start when my drops arrive. I just simply adjust my spreadsheet starting date and I'll be fine!

That is excellent advice to use those containers and sandwich bags. I have plenty of those. Probably on Oct 9 or 10th, I will go grocery shopping for the meats and stock up on fruits and veggies for the day I go onto the 500 calorie portion. The only thing I will need to get is a kitchen scale.

The main thing is to be prepared for lunches at work.... those vending machines and places to grab fast food will call my name if I don't bring something with me for lunch!

Cool!

And don't forget - to keep busy when the machine calls your name. Get some hot tea, Sweet/Low, coffee, water, cold tea. Just remember this, you know what all that food tastes like in the machine. You are not "missing out".

Happy loading. I did super high fat,low carb so the first few days did not cause huge cravings.

Hi Tempted_by_food and Stevie Renee.

I'm planning to get some green tea tonight and I have plans to go to Burger King for their breakfast for high fattening foods. I plan to go a little tad crazy when loading up!

My bottle states to take 10 drops 3 times day.... much more reasonable instead of taking 6 times a day in my personal opinion. I will need to remember to carry the bottle back and forth between home and work so I can keep loading myself. I just hope I won't have any problems holding the liquid under my tongue for several minutes before I swallow!

Dustin...I only held the drops in my mouth for like 20 seconds. When carrying the drops around keep them out of contact with mobile phones and computers as they can ruin them. Burger King sounds great, enjoy!
