Okay, learn something new everyday. I've never heard it called a fruit even though it has seeds inside.

Here is where is mentions it in P&I, that she is referring to. It seems that even in the mildest cases of obesity the diencephalon requires about three weeks rest from the maximal exertion to which it has been previously subjected in order to regain fully its normal fat-banking capacity. |

VLCD15, starting week 3 with no loss today(148.6) but I'm pretty sure I can make it to my mini goal of 145 by day 21. Haven't had any "movement" for a few days so I drank some dieters tea this morning hoping to move things along.

Well tomatoes is either a fruit or a veg and can be used both ways even though he doesnt list it as a fruit in the protocol it is used as both so in that case so can a cucumber.

Gracie, i wondered that too. Why has no doc picked up and re-researched this?
Peggy, I say the same thing to my DH who says I SHOULD know I look totally different, but not in my mind's eye. He gets mad at me because I can't see it yet. CTG, I'm here. So glad you had a wonderful time! Yanno, I didn't sleep so great last night either (nervous about a meeting I had today), but I also can't remember if the scale read 131.8 or 131.2 this morning. So I'm either down 0.2 or 0.8...LOL@me I'll catch up to you yet sistah!

My vote would be the mixing of the veggies too. Also, sometimes Splenda does not agree with people. I try to stick with sweet-n-low or stevia while in P2. In P3 I can eat all the Splenda I want with no problems. How has your water intake been? Also, have you been measuring? Days when I didn't have much scale action I had great inch loss. |

Koo~I agree, it's so great you are helping your daughter do this! I did Jenny Craig with my mom before my senior year of high school and went back for my sr. year at 130 lbs. I had confidence and was much more involved!
I lost 4.4 lbs on my first VLCD! Woot! I really needed that big loss to keep my motivation going since I've had such a hard time starting R2. I will try to be back later with more personals, I have 2 kids under 2.5 yrs so it can be difficult to keep up! Have a great day everyone!

I just wanted to check in I'm doing great! VLCD1 I started at 251 I am now on VLCD21 at 232 so, 19 pounds lost. I hope tomato's are OK for me? I have never eaten them I decided to try, I don't think I can choke down another cucumber.
Today's menu lunch 3.5 oz of 93% lean Hamburger meat insides of a tomato with oregano baked Small Granny Smith apple baked with cinnamon Dinner 3.5 oz of no fat cottage cheese outside of the tomato that I had for lunch 5 strawberries Last edited by Hope2Be2010; 10-07-2010 at 10:50 AM.. |

Ditto this. On both my rounds my slow week was week 2, and week 3 was much better!

You know, all this talk about going "rogue" is interesting. I think in some ways, most of us are "rogue", simply because none of us are perfect. It may be the slightest thing, or big things, and yet we still lose, mostly. For me, I try to stick to protocol, and that is my goal, but as I've already confessed, I had wine in P2, I had some cream in my coffee on occassion, I chew gum, I haven't changed any of my products, and I've still lost. I wonder sometimes if they served P2 Chili at Dr. Simeon's hospital. For me, doing it "mostly" according to protocol has worked well, and I had a fabulous P3. I hope that continues on this next round, and if I do another, I will still do my best. But I am not perfect. I guess because of my imperfect P2s, I am not willing to really play fast and lose with the program.

Hair question
In case I'm not needy enough...have a question for my HCG peeps.
Do you like my hair natural (slightly curly) in first pic or the straightened look. Please ignore the state of my kids' bathroom where I was doing my hair. I also think I need to get at least 4 inches of length taken off. All opinions welcome. ![]() |

I like them both but if I were to pick I like the first pic better with the slight curls. My hair is as long as yours and naturally curly too. |
