Crispy HIP HIP Hooray, I was so happy to read your going to be able to keep your job!! I'm a nurse too in LTC and the comment you made about keeping a little book of miracles is so nice something I've never thought about, tho some days they are so few and far between theres always one that brings a smile to my face, sometimes its just the tiniest thing that makes your heart sing.

I'm so very happy for you and your family. I wanted to share this with everyone because it was funny today that I happened to get this sent to me by my sister then crispy mentioned it today in her post about CPR, its a new method and everyone can do it, no certification required. You NEVER know when it might make the difference between life and death for someone.

Good morning ladies!!!

No loss, no gain today which actually breaks my pattern of losing one day, gaining the next. So I'm happy at least I didn't gain. Looking forward to a loss tomorrow, 185 would look so good about now! Only 2 more days of dosing, then 2 days VLCD, then
P3!!!

Lorrie, welcome back! You were missed. Considering how naughty you were, you didn't do badly at all. You'll be back to your LDW in no time. Missed ya!

Chouter, I love wine too, great reasoning for having it!

CTG, I'd have the wine if I were you (although I'd probably do the chicken and have a miserable time). The meanie in me says 'have the wine, CTG, so I can catch up...'

QuiteBlissGirl, I SO want a mastiff. I love those big puppies!

Thin, you're still doing great! At least it isn't a gain, you're right!

I'm down 0.8 this morning to a solid 132.0. My BF measured 33.7%, so that made me happy. I didn't sleep well at all, so I think my loss could have been more. Darned brain started working at 3am! Oy!

Tell me what the GREAT HCG board thinks of this
I'm going to do a steak day this weekend
I'm thinking of taking my flank steaks maranading them in a can of Rotel tomatoes, pouring the Rotel into a sauce pan bring to a boil add meat and cover alow to simmer about 10 min
I've had this before and I think it would fit into the steak, tomato, and seasonings

Yep, couldn't wait to have a glass of wine on P3!! I, too, want to be able to maintain this loss and have my wine too!

We'll probably meet at a restaurant to eat. I know right now I'm not going to be 100% on Protocol. I'm thinking of maybe just getting chicken breast and lettuce or just a glass of wine and not eating. I don't want to do too much damage, but I do want to relax and enjoy myself.
Which is worse? I'm thinking probably a glass of wine since it's all sugar. I know some have had a glass without incident though. Any thoughts?......Besides don't do it.
Maybe you could skip your fruit for the day and have that glass of wine. Let us know how it goes for you!

Me, too. Love red wine. Guess I'm not the only wine-o here. I seem to be able to maintain if I drink and do LC, but could never lose. SO that is why I am here!!!

OMG. That is so funny! I love my wine but can't just drink one glass a night like some people, so I've just saved it for weekends. I wish I *had* a socializing life to miss! Seems like all my friends are too busy with work and kids to ever take a break. And my BFF likes those nasty zinfandels. Thankfully she has other good qualities that make up for it.

That sounds like a great recipe!

Enjoyed my first P3 day yesterday (up 1.2). Just .2 over ldw and still in window. Going to be a bit more moderate today. I do think it helps to keep my days varied.

I exercised yesterday and am going to try to exercise thru out, and get my body fat down a tad (and lean body mass up) before I restart P2. Maybe that will make P2 easier.

DD still having trouble sleeping. Poor girl, I really think she should end up working with animals for a living. She does love them more than most people!

Good morning, ladies! I am down .8 lbs. today. Working 10 hours, so not much time to eat. I went shopping at Costco and got shrimp, steak and veggies. I also got ground turkey, but I can't remember if that's on protocol or not.

R2Load1 - 167.1 (+3.1)
R2Load2 - 169.7 (+2.6)

Turkey isn't protocol but sometimes I use the 99% lean turkey and haven't gained from it. Costco carries the one that is a bit higher in fat so I haven't tried that one.

If you have had it with success before it may be ok. My friend just started the diet a week ago and gained 2 lbs from the Rotel tomatoes. Maybe the sodium? IDK but she freaked. Maybe she is just sensitive to them though.

Another one checking in with no change.

I still have to stop and remind myself that 8.6 lbs in 9 days is great, much better than I ever did with Atkins or anything else. I am not going to stress and worry about stalling. I know it will come off eventually. I figured it'd be slower this time since I only have 20-25 more lbs to go.

I'm going to get my kid to take some new pics of me today. My clothes are fitting better and I'm feeling better in my clothes. My middle(muffin top) is definitely shrinking.

That recipe sounds good, I will have to check it out. Does cooking the cottage cheese change the texture of it? M can't eat it because she doesn't like the texture of it in her mouth.

Yeah I hate lovenox but surely will have to do that again with my clotting disorder I tend to clot too often but refuse to go on coumadin and am working on more natural ways to thin my blood! Yeah the bruising is bad for sure but it immediately thins the blood in that surrounding area when injected.....

That sounds like a yummy tasting day! I will have to go look up that recipe. Thanks for saying where it was!
I don't blame you for not wanting to do the Coumadin. I was on it from November 6 of last year to the September 2nd. I am still suffering with muscular type pains in my shoulders and in my knees, the shoulders I can tell are a little better but not the knees. I couldn't believe that I had gotten a blood clot, broccoli was my main staple veggie for Atkins, I took aspirin as my go to pain reliever, use a lot of garlic/garlic powder in cooking and drink 5-6 cups of hot tea a day. The doctors are blaming it on BC pills at the age of 46. Anyhow, I am interested in your more natural ways of avoiding clots, I am taking a baby aspirin a day now in hopes that I don't get any more.

How are you doing your body fat check up. When I went to a health fair at my gym last month they checked mine with one of those little machines you hold in front of you. I weighed 147 (5'2") and it read 29% body fat, now I have fat on my tummy area and wings on my arms so I know I need to still tone up a lot. I can't see that at your weight and height that you could be 33% when I am 29%. Probably mine is wrong but was wondering how it was you checked yours?

Sorry your dd is still having such a hard time, it is to be expected I would think. M would be devasted if something happens to her dog or two cats. She loves animals too and is already taking classes as a sophomore to prepare her for Vetinarian school.

Great attitude, keep it up!

Day VLCD14 and I lost another pound to get to 148.6. Won't be long until I reach my mini goal of 145.

Hang in there. 13 lbs. down in 9 days is awesome!

You are almost averaging a pound a day. Yea, for the muffin top shrinking! Looking forward to your new pictures.

Morning everyone! Wishing you all a successful day.
Sound like your switch up worked well for you! The cycling really helped me. Good luck for what you decide. I would not want to be on P2 during T'giving!

Only 6 more days 'till P3!!!
You are almost there! Great loss for a week 3!!!

How'd she do today? I'm a little behind in reading all the posts. I did not lose well in week 3 so I took a 4 day break and it started right back up like it did in week 1. I'm sure she is losing inches. Sometimes you really can't tell, especially if it's in the arms and back and chest. But I guarantee, she is still losing.

In one of my rounds I did a Modified Steak Day in P2. I drank tons of water/tea and didn't eat until around 3 p.m. I had a 7-8 ounce filet mignon and a tomato. I had a 1.4 pound loss if I remember correctly. Usually the steak days are for P3 but someone had posted a modified one for P2 and it did work! Plus I got to eat STEAK
I think I might do that after my girls night out tonight! Thanks for sharing!

I'm down 0.8 this morning to a solid 132.0. My BF measured 33.7%, so that made me happy. I didn't sleep well at all, so I think my loss could have been more. Darned brain started working at 3am! Oy!
I'll sacrifice a glass of wine for you!
Awesome on the body fat and .8! Hope you get caught up on your sleep.
I lost .8 too. That brings me to 131.0 I started this round weighing 3 lbs less than you, so you are still WAY ahead of me!

I LOVE mastiff's! I have a boxer and a lab. Love them too!
I think that's a good idea. As hard as it will be. I will skip my fruit.

Good morning!!! I'm down 0.8 today ..... after yesterday's 0.6 gain, I'm contributing the gain to the 2 TSP of soy sauce, though I'm scared to try cabbage again! It's funny how different foods effect different people .... I can have tomatoes and tomatoes sauce fine but it seems to negatively effect many people?!?!

So about this wine thing .... I'm soooo excited to drink mine. However, before HCG if I drank any I would automatically be up on the scale 2 lb's the next day, no matter what. Anyone else like that pre hcg?!?! If so, has that changed?!? I sure would like to mix that up in the stabilizing, yum!

Definitely go out and enjoy yourself!!! Why bother losing all this weight if you can't go celebrate! You know there was another hhcg'er who drank wine every single night in P2 and continued to lose. She would count the wine as her fruits. She hasn't been on in a while because she started school but just thought I would share that.

I can't stand cottage cheese, and I loved this recipe! I bought the small curd hoping it'd be a better texture for me. It kinda melts down and browns just a bit in the oven. I didn't even notice the texture after it was baked on those tomatoes. All I noticed was HOLY MOLY, THIS TASTES LIKE CHEESE!

Good job on M's loss today. I hope P3 treats her well!

You ladies are just my type, I looooooooooove my wine!!! I had wine almost every day of P3 and stabilized well too! I found that if I had vodka/diet tonic I would usually gain which I found weird, but it's ok bc I am a red wino all the way!

Christi--SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I hope you feel so much better with this tremendous weight lifted off your shoulders

CaTriGril--enjoy the night out sweetie, this protocol is DRAINING!

Everyone else, keep it up guys! Seems like many of us are nearing the DELICIOUSNESS of P3!!!!

I reached the NORMAL BMI RANGE on my scale this morning!!!!! I started out 1-1-10 one point from "morbid obesity" and being "normal" feels sooooooooooooo good! LDW is in 7 days and I am dreaming of cheese, pork, wine, FAT, etc...on VLCD41 today and down 25.5lb this round!

WOW! Those are AMAZING! You can totally see the inch loss Now I totally believe in the P3 "reshaping" and redistributing of fat. You look fantastic! Way to go sticking to protocol - it's totally worth the results

CaTri -- yes, enjoy yourself....you have worked very hard and are so close to your goal...sorry about the last few weeks!

I will remember the minus the fruits when encountering social wine events. Good suggestion!

I'm back on P2 after being off for a few weeks due to my Dad having surgery and my Mom being in the ER with heart issues....needed to be able to have some wiggle room when traveling back and forth between hospital and their home.

Since I have been back, I have lost 5.4 lbs. which includes the "loading weight". I am just 1 lb. over my LDW from R1. This protocol really works!
