UGH!

UGH! If ever I were going to cheat, today would be the day. We have our house on the market, and yesterday, discovered a leak in the yard. That in and of itself is no big deal, but it has wreaked havoc on my day. The handyman came to fix it yesterday, tried one thing, left it overnight to see if it would hold. It did not. His grave-sized hole in the ground completely filled with water. So he's back out there today, trying something else. In the meantime, he has turned off the water to our house.

Weeks ago, I had hired a cleaning crew to come clean my house. There is a big show this weekend, so our house is open both Saturday and Sunday. The cleaning crew were not able to clean the kitchen, or any of the bathrooms, of which we have six! (What was I thinking when we built this house?! )

Oh, and I am working all day tomorrow. Will I get a shower? Maybe, maybe not.

So, guess what I am doing this evening? I need a hot fudge sundae.

Aww.... You need a hug!! Sounds like how shi**y my week has been LOL. Not just one thing to make it bad, but a bunch of things compounded on top of each other! Had me diving for all things non-protocol. I wish you a strong weekend!!! And I truly hope you get a shower in the AM. I know I would be pissed going to work without a shower.

Hi everyone... well it was bound to happen.. I'm up (yes a darn gain) of 0.6-lbs. today... I was ubber strict yesterday.. (but did fell like I was bloated... and bernice had visited 2-days prior and yesterday too)... I at strictly and kept my calories around 470 for the day and I drank almost 2-gallons of water.. and yet still a gain....

and...

I feel hunger pains.... just a twinge here and there.. but I know that they are present...

Anyways.. not giving up.. just not having a good 2nd week is all... I will continue on and stay on protocol... and hope this is just a phase and that my body will release the fat again soon.

Have I mentioned how wonderful Dr. Simeon's protocol is? Well it is!!!!!!! I Dr. Simeon!!

I have been eating *alot* of things (sugar, starches, bread) that would have had me gaining 5-7 lbs of water retention if I went off plan on Atkins and I am maintaining my loss!!!!!!!!!! The bonus is...they are all ON PLAN...because P4 you can eat what you want!

I have followed protocol and I feel I have reset my hypothalamus and I am so looking forward to round two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chouter and Dawn, I'm so sorry have had such a stressful time lately. Water leaks are no fun. I hope it gets solved for you so your showings go well this weekend.

Peggy, it's so comforting to hear that you are eating well without worry ing too much and aren't gaining. I still don't understand why this diet is such a big fat secret!?

Peggy, that is fantastic. I can't wait to get to P4 after this second round of P2 and then eat what I like within reason.

There must be something in the air because my week has been super stressful. I actually cried at my desk today because it just got to me. I wanted to dive into anything off protocol but knew I would feel worse tomorrow morning when I saw a gain after only day 2 of R2 so I stuck to my guns and stayed on protocol.

Here is to eating clean and getting back down. I am saying this to me as well as you To all of us who have strayed!!!!!!!! I have to remember to eat clean too!!! Now, if you are interested in losing after your round, look into posts by afuentes. She lost a bunch of weight on hcg and then lost more by bodybuilding AND low carbing. Might be worth checking her journal/blog out!
That is true, I forgot that.

Sorry to hear you have been having a stressful week too! Glad you are back posting. You were missed!

So sorry. I hear ya! I was sooo tempted to have one AND a burger and fries when our car broke down on the way to FL and we were stuck at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere! Funny I stayed on protocol then it wasn't until I got back and had more stress that I needed to cave!

Good luck with the house showing. I hope it sells quickly!! and that you get water soon!!

Stacey. That is fantastic.

Well I am down a total of 12.6 on day 8 of round 2. So I am pretty happy with that. I must say this round is a bit harder because I have been invited out four times this weekend and turned them all down because I want to stick to protocol. I feel like I am being very rude declining the invitations.

Does anyone else have an issue stopping P2? - mentally....

My Dr is fine with me continuing until I hit immunity. My plan has been to stop the day the scale doesn't move down and for the first time ever I am losing a full lb a day as soon as I say that. It's driving me crazy... I hate stopping now that I am FINALLY losing at a good rate. I think regardless of the loss (if there is one) I will stop tomorrow.

I AM FUSTRATED ... I'm R1P2D24 and this is my second day w/out loss. I AM happy no gain but I've been following protocol to a tee! This is suppose to be my last week in P2 (I'm planning around holidays) but I may end early if this continues ... I'm on RX, any chance I've already built up immunity (my body likes to fit against me when it comes to weight loss so I wouldn't be surprised)!?! I honestly do realize it is only 2 days but I'm mentally getting tired of P2 so I think that is making it worse! Okay ... just typing this I'm thinking I sound a little pathetic?!

Any ideas!?!?

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend!!!!

It's pretty normal to have a gain followed by a good loss the next day. Don't worry, it will even out in the end!

Hope everyone is having a good day. Off to try to get the house clean for the party Sunday night for DS's 14th b-day.

Not really. I plan on starting R2 in January. I have stalled so many times this round that losing a full lb a day (last 3 days) is just too tempting. I know (based on my history this round) that I will stall again soon and that is when I will stop. It's just that this round has been realllllly long (9 weeks) and I don't have issues with that mentally it's just I get scared with people saying it will be hard to stabilize.

WOE: VSG 75 lbs. down and expecting baby 6/2013! :)
Good morning ladies!

So LDW yesterday was 185.8, this morning I was down another full lb to 184.8. Woohooo!!! I'm very happy witrh that especially considering I had lite blue cheese dressing with my lean burger last night instead of my usual mustard.

I can't stomach anymore beef today, since I've only eaten beef for my protein the past 3 weeks! So, this morning I just had coffee with a tiny drop of cream and lunch I plan on having a few very crispy chicken wings. I plan on making a shake for dinner w/ frozen strawberries and 1/3 less fat cream cheese. I guess technically that means I'm starting P3 early but I am going to keep it very low cal still today and tomorrow.

Forgot to add, I started at 196.2, gained up to 207.4 after loading and now am 184.8. So I've lost about 11 lbs net on this 3 week R2. I'm upset I gained so much loading, I'm sure my net loss would have been much more if I would have loaded low carb. Now I know better for my next round after Thanksgiving! Hoping to see 170 by Christmas!

Ok, I need some help please tell me what you think! Over the last 5 days I have added In tomatoes, no fat cottage cheese and apples. I have been at the same weight since adding them what do you think I should eliminate first? I'm thinking tomatoes but, I just can't seem to find another vegetable I like. Also, if it matters I'm on VLCD23.

I would say if you are mentally done with P2 that you should stop because it will just work against you because you will begin to hate it and then perhaps start going way off protocol. Maybe its better just to go to P3 for a while. Maybe an interruption?

My Dr is fine with me continuing until I hit immunity. My plan has been to stop the day the scale doesn't move down and for the first time ever I am losing a full lb a day as soon as I say that. It's driving me crazy... I hate stopping now that I am FINALLY losing at a good rate. I think regardless of the loss (if there is one) I will stop tomorrow.
If your doctor is okay with it I would say keep going if you are liking P2.

I'm upset I gained so much loading, I'm sure my net loss would have been much more if I would have loaded low carb. Now I know better for my next round after Thanksgiving! Hoping to see 170 by Christmas!
Thin, I agree with the loading. I gained over 10 pounds on both times loading and wish I would have loaded different. Congrats on having wiggle room in P3.

I would cut out the cottage cheese first. then the tomatoes if that doesn't work. You could just be at a stall or pre-set weight as well Cottage cheese is only supposed to be used once in a while
