How important is the fruit

I am on day 4 of P2 but I haven't been eating the fruit. Is this a big mistake?

I didn't eat fruit either. Dr. Simeon said that it was okay to leave out anything that you wanted to, except for the protein. Everyone finds what works for them.

When I stalled I stopped eating the fruit and then I started losing again. I have not added it back in but occasionally eat tomatoes.

Interesting. Did you stall right away on p2?

No, week 5 and 6. That was after drinking a bottle of wine one night also.

an entire bottle? you're my new hero...

I thought I would miss wine more than I do. Granted, it was nice to have it on P3, but I'm glad I'm not really having a hard time NOT having it.

Hee hee.... yeah an entire bottle. I miss it but we went to dinner at an ex-boyfriends house (my hubby works with him now - long story) so of course I decided it was a good time to drink a glass, then another... and you know the rest lol. Stalled me 2 weeks so I extended my round 2 weeks but it was kinda worth it

I took a 3-day interruption and since I've been back on P2, I've been "rotating" how I eat fruit. Some days I eat both servings, some days only one. I like to keep my body guessing.

One or two days I dropped the fruits entirely and just ate the protein and veggies. (note: I also increased my protein servings that day but that is NOT considered protocol)

Oh boy, I think after doing a round of this, I would have been on the floor and/or driving the porcelain bus...

I've kept my fruit (apples and strawberries are TOO good) but never really added the Melba or grissini. I'll sometimes skip my apple or my veggie if I'm in a rush or just don't feel like messing with it, but I *ALWAYS* eat my protein. Perhaps my next stall ( that it doesn't happen!) I'll cut out the fruit, but then that excludes Apple Days.
