Ok I have a question ... for all you trailblazers ... and I know you aren't all doing the same things, BUT, while you are 'trailblazing' [my new favorite word for this], are you still remaining on the 'juice' the whole time?

![]() That being said ... during this 'break' time I was/am thinking about how I'll continue, which brings me to the trailblazing efforts of all the wonderful adventurous peeps here .... low carb? .... low cal? ... both? .... Calorie switching? ... Low carb/low cal switching? So many ways to do this thing!!! ![]() Plus the last two weeks I've been told I now have gallstones, cataracts and hearing loss! I'm only 59!! I have to wonder if it could be the lack of fats/oils over the last six months that helped this happen? I have NO IDEA. But why NOW is all this happening? I want to be FIT and FIRM and STRONG and HEALTHY too! ![]() Is the hcg an appetite surpressant or an abnormal fat burner or both? When you go trailblazing, is it still only burning the abnormal fat or does it ever burn the normal fat too? I know I'm probably overthinking everything again, but that's how my mind works. I love that peeps are here who are OPEN to considering these things without just going rabid about it. ![]()

Ok, what I am about to say is MY OPINION ONLY!!! I am by no means an expert...I BELIEVE that HCG is an appetite suppressant AND a fat burner. I also believe that FAT IS FAT... normal, abnormal, whatever... I read the Protocol so I know how he is distinguishing the 2, but all the fat that is on us that is "padding" would be the first to go in my opinion. The fat sheltering our organs would be the last. I don't believe our body will go straight to the sheltering fat when it has so much of the padding fat to use... so in that I disagree with Protocol... I believe in my case that I am keeping my muscle because I eat enough protein and fats to do so... I believe the HHCG is helping me to burn my fat... I could NOT lose it eating just low carb, or zero carb. It stayed with me... so it HAS to be the HHCG. That is the only thing I have done differently now. I FIRMLY believe it is an appetite suppressant also.. I have proven that to myself when I went off of it... MY 2 cents. ![]()

![]() ANYHOW, I miss my healthy fats and oils and I think my body does too. I loved low carb because I could eat fats and oils. I believe it's a HEALTHY thing for us to do. But on hcg, the only fat/oil I have been able to 'get away with' is coconut oil & mct oil simply because it's not utilized in the body as fat but as a carb. At least that's what I've read. ![]() What good is getting thin if you end up sick and unhealthy? A smaller coffin???? Oy vay. Just rambling AGAIN. If I could have my hcg and eat fats/oils too, I'd be rockin!!! ![]() Last edited by Selahgal; 10-01-2010 at 07:55 AM.. |

![]() I know what you mean. Gotta have my coffee in the AM and it's gotta have at least some kind of milk or something in it (HWC being the best, of course). What is in that "Fat Free Half and Half" I would think ity would be OK as long as they have not added starch and/or sugar to it. I remember reading somewhere in Dr. Atkins stuff way back when that they typically add starches/fillers/sugars in things when they remove all the fat, and that can be even worse for you. So I just don't know. |

Thanks for the welcome all!
I now feel comfortable enough to admit that, while I have not had a SIP of alcohol in over 30 days, I am getting together with some girlfriends on Saturday night, and while I plan to keep the food as clean as possible.... a glass of wine (or two...) will be drank!! And if my weight stalls or I go up a bit..... so be it. I know exactly how to get it back down again. Quote:

I know you have experience in that Kandi!! so stick around!!!
![]() Down a pound today, ate over 1700 cals yesterday. Today is going to be a HIGH day, because it is Saturday! Tomorrow will be a very low cal day. I want to blast off today's food. I don't really have a plan for the week, but I am betting it is something like High today, then Low, low, mid, low, low, mid, high. We shall SEE!! ![]() How is everyone doing? Have you decided on a plan of any sort? Just curious!!! ![]() |
