What do you think of my loading menu?

Saturday -

Breakfast: Coffee with lots of HWC

Lunch: Baked potato with lots of butter, sour cream and cheese.

Dinner: Calzone with ricotta, mozzarella and prosciutto. I'll probably only eat a small amount of the bread as I'm just coming off of Atkins, and that much bread will likely make me sick.

Sunday -

Breakfast:

Coffee with lots of HWC

Lunch: Avocado drizzled with olive oil. A few tortilla chips.

Dinner: Queso flameado and guacamole. Queso flameado is just a bowl of melted cheese with fajita meat and onions.

Oh! I think I will add in some chocolate covered macadamia nuts. And we're going out for breakfast, so I'm going to have an omelet with extra cheese and bacon.

When I was loading, I actually swallowed whole pieces of butter in addition to taking several tablespoons of Omega 6 oils. I also limited sugar. I am now on VLCD 14 and have never experienced any hunger despite sticking to the protocol.

I also had fat--pure fat in the form of coconut oil. I was able to get in 6 TBL on the second day of my rounds. It is important to get enough fat on those loading days. I also believe that the above mentioned menu is so low on food. You need to eat---eat a lot!!!--while loading. Eat all day long. I ate a whole jar of chocolate covered nuts. One lady ate an entire bag of chocolate Kisses when she could chew no longer, she let them just melt in her mouth. You really need to let go and eat!!!

I hardly ate anything in terms of real food yesterday. Should I do another loading day? I was really looking forward to starting VLCD today.

What load day are you on? I think you really need to eat more fat.

Here's my loading days. I was hungry first round, so I really packed it on this time.

Breakfast -
Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte
12 donut holes
2 Kolaches

Lunch -
4 ounces of chips and guacamole (1 & 1/2 Avocadoes/salsa)
3 ounces honey roasted almonds
1 slice of cheese
2 ounces of salami
4 cream cheese muffins

Dinner -
7 ounce serloin steak
Mashed potatoes
1 & 1/2 cheddar biscuit
1/2 Caesar Salad

Calories - 4,274/Fat 276 grams/carbs 340 grams/128 grams

Fat 57%/Carb 31%/Prot 12%

day 2

Breakfast -
Grande Latte
Bacon Breakfast Burrito
Cream Cheese Muffin

Snack -
Zevia
2 ounces of chocolate covered almonds

Lunch -
4 slices of bacon
2 ounces of chips w/ guacamole (1 & 1/2 avocados)
2 ounces chocolate covered almonds

Dinner -
Potato Casserole
4 slices of bacon

Snack -
Fage w/ strawberries & xylitol Mmmm. 20 full grams of fat. Nice!

I didn't count calories or fat grams. I'm sure it's the same or more than the previous day. It just made me sick to think about it, so I didn't keep track. I stuffed the best I could. I'm still feeling it today.

Yesterday was my 2nd load day, but I think I screwed it up. I was just not hungry, and was getting nauseous. I'm going to do another load day today. I'm stuck at work though, so will have to run to the drugstore and stock up on HWC and Macadamias to get me through the day.

Breakfast:

1 biscuit with gravy, part of a pancake

No Lunch

Dinner:

Queso with fajita meat, a few bites of refried beans.

Yes, please eat more!! Eat constantly!! I pretty much never stopped.
You really don't want to be hungry though. It's miserable and lasts longer than being miserable from loading.

Fage, avocados and nuts are the way to go! Nuts are easy to eat at work too.

Is it going to mess things up to do a 3rd loading day though? Or should I just not count yesterdays? I ran to Walgreens and got a bag of Hersheys kisses with almonds and a can of macadamia nuts. There isn't a grocery store close, so I have to make due with what I can get at the drugstore.

I'll either have avocado tacos or fried chicken, potatoes and gravy for lunch.

That should be sufficient shouldn't it?

Macadamia nuts are delicious, btw. I don't typically love nuts of any kind, but I'm pretty sure I can polish off this can before 5:00.

Snacks sound good and dinner, don't forget dessert!
Fage has more fat than ice-cream per serving! Or cheese cake. Add chcocolate nuts on top. When you think you've done enough, do more! I loaded until 11 pm last night.

OMG!! I was totally shocked by how much fat Fage actually has!!! The perfect loading food, right along with macadamia nuts and coconuts!!! Oh, and the half cheesecake (low carb of course!) I polished off---deelish!!!!! Boy do I miss my loading days!!!!

Btw, DeeDee had me so scared I did not load enough by my second day that I sat in the kitchen at 11:30PM stuffing my face with macadamia nuts, chocolate milk and anything else I could find that was fatty!!!! My family thought I was off my rocker. Thank God I was not hungry that week or I would have been pissed!!! And it was even better that I lost weight!!! LOL.

Ok, so far today I've had...

3 oz. macadamia nuts
10-12 hershey kisses
Venti caffe latte from starbucks made with 3/4 cup heavy cream instead of milk
Fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy

I have a bacon cheeseburger planned for dinner, and I'll try to eat another 3 oz. of macadamia nuts to finish this can before the end of the day. I'll either stop and get some FAGE, or have another caffe latte for dessert.

I'm not even counting the strawberries and sesame breadstick I had for breakfast when I THOUGHT I was going to start my VLCD days.

This is truly disgusting! And I swear to God, I can feel fat coming out of my pores. My face is GREASY and I never have greasy skin.

I better not be hungry after all of this.

That is the point I think!! Make you so disgusted with food that when you start on the very low calorie plan you actually welcome so little food. It is good that you feel so gross!!! Good luck tomorrow--I am with you as I start P2 tomorrow as well!!

I'm really glad you mentioned the fage. Unbelievable, the fat. I'm sure it is what put me over the edge yesterday, but I am NOT hungry today!!
This time during round 1, I was ready to chew off my arm. DeeDee did a good job scaring you into eating more fat!

That is a really good sign, when you step in the shower and the water won't absorb into your skin! If water is balling up on you, it's a pretty good sign you loaded well! I think it took a good couple of minutes for the water to actually penetrate my skin this morning!

Make sure you get the full fat Fage. My grocery store only carries the 2% with fruit. I had to go to a different store to get the full fat Fage and I bought a bigger container without the fruit that was full fat and just added xylitol and strawberries for sweetness.

Thanks for the tip. I'm pretty sure my HEB carries it. I love Greek yogurt with a little pink lemonade crystal light mixed in. Tastes like the inside of a key lime pie to me. Maybe I'll use strawberry crystal light and dark chocolate chips, yum!

Oh my gawd, I'm going to bed early just so this can be overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm post-thanksgiving dinner stuffed x 1000.

Dinner:

Lasagna
Bread topped with 3 T of butter and 3 T olive oil
Cheesecake topped with a mixture of melted hershey kisses and coconut oil

I really do think even if not for the fact that it's going to help hunger, it's made me disgusted with food which is gonna help so much.

I haven't over eaten in about a year, I've forgotten how rotten this feels.

I'm looking forward to my dainty little breadstick, and my hot tea, and half a grapefruit for breakfast. If I'm even hungry by then.

I feel so dirty.
