New week, new thread! I'm "up" .4 today but that's likely due to weighing late yesterday (yay for sleeping in!). Breakfast was chocolate CC and apple slices, good start!

Thanks for starting the new thread. I am in and out today. I feel awful. I have a head cold that is kicking my butt bigtime!! I have to work tonight too. So I am up today (118.8) and I think it is because of the Zicam I took yesterday. I have to cut this cold somehow, and last round I did while sick I used the Sugar free Cold EEze. I ran out yesterday and could not find the sugar free at Kroger. Off to Wal-Mart to track it down. I have also been doing chicken broth, garlic and Throat Coat tea. Take care ya'll!!

Thanks sassy!!! I seem to have caught what my kids get every start of school year. My DS said last night "what happened to you not getting sick?" I am in P2 that is why!! I cannot have my coconut oil to help my immune system. For that reason I am stopping on my 21 st day (which is tomorrow, so it will be my LDW) and will do P3 until the cold is gone and continue P2 next week til I reach goal. I really want my coconut oil!!!

My son just got over a sore throat and now daughter is sick...and I'm catching it too! Those germy kids! I took a big dose of vitamin d my last day of loading...but it can't fight everything off! At least they haven't missed any school. I give them cod liver oil during the winter/spring months, and it usually keeps them pretty healthy.

Have fun on the P3 break...or at least get better.

I have the hardest time getting an Internet connection to this board.

Sassy, thanks for starting us up!

Dawn, I'm sorry you're sick. It's crazy that we have to run around so much trying to find sugar free health products! Feel better!

Paula, sore throats are the worst. I get them often but they are allergy related. How's your hunger on this p2?

12yl, good release!

Today is r2p2vlcd1 for me and I am up 6.5 from loading. Oh well. Let's get this party started!

Too bad about all the colds going around...makes for a miserable week.

Again, no loss...so this is day 3, SO hoping for something tomorrow as I really don't want to do an apple day already. I'm thinking the fat burning part is just starting, as the first 11 pounds were probably water and the horrible food I ate the last few weeks.

Good luck this week everyone!

Hope you feel better.

There is a nasty virus going around here -- more of a high fever/stomach bug, but some people are having the respiratory symptoms along with it. I was the only one in my family that did not get it.

I asked my daughter why she thinks I did not get sick. Her answer: "Because you don't stay up late and you don't eat sugar." I only wish that knowledge were enough to make her stay away from the stuff. Maybe someday

You know I must be weird because I didn't mind my apple day at all. Kind of liked it actually. I sliced 6 Gala apples early in the day, kept them in a ziploc bag and snacked whenever I felt hungry (which wasn't often, that was day 20 for me). Not the most varied of menus but I had a decent loss the next day so I didn't mind. You can also mix and match apples as well, different flavors etc (like half sweet Gala, half sour Granny Smiths).

Nothing to be afraid of, just another day where you keep your meals disciplined. Hardest part for me was remembering NOT to drink my water.

Wow! This was a tough weekend, wasn't it. I'm up for the first time .6. I'm really bummed as I was sooo close to being in a new "decade". I'm really taking it easy on calories today. Chicken patty for lunch and a shake for dinner. Hopefully that will take care of this weekend! Lot's of water too. Have a great slimming day everyone!

This sounds like what my kids have. All 3 of them! DH and I are just praying we don't get it. At least they've all got it at the same time so we're all missing school together...

Good morning!

Dawn-feel better

CSSJMiMi-hang tough, it'll come back off

Sassy-thanks for debunking the apple day. Did you say no water? I thought you were supposed to drink more water that day? I'll have to go re-read that one!

BeeDee99-great job! The social eating scares me on this plan, I'm becoming rather hermit like. So far so good, only 2 more weeks of being anti-social!

gildedlily-you loaded well!! I felt so gross, but was really ready to buckle down.

Today I'm at 175 even, I think. My scale was having a rough morning and reported everywhere from 173.4-176!! I think the battery may be going. At least I hope that's all it is, as I dont' want a new scale and change my stats. We'll see what it says later in the day when I get home. I can go get a new battery if I have to.

I also get to pick up my pre-made meals today. 6 of them for $25 and P2 friendly! Yeah! I'm doing fine with the cooking these days, but thought some variety, ease and ideas were a good idea. And they're pretty cheap too, which is nice.

And I'm finally less hungry!! VLCD8 for me! Whew!! Thought I'd never get past that hunger. It's still a bit rumbly in my tumbly, but way better than last week!! Imagine if I skimped on my loading menu!

Have a great week!

Go M!! She must be happy!

I'm on my 2nd day no drops, and yesterday was fine. No big hunger, even easily passed up all the treats being served at the ministry fair at church! I am a bit anxious for P3 to start though!!!
Three people all saying no hunger not taking the drops on the last couple of days. I don't understand why some (including M) are still hungry while taking them. I hope it passes soon.

As far, as my diet. I do Atkins. I started at 183 lbs in Feb. 2006 and dropped 25-30 pounds right off the back and I must have kind of set a set point then because all I do is bounce up and down between 148-152 now. I still more or less stick to induction type levels but do have a piece of cake or ice cream every now and again (no more than about six times a year). During the summer my one bad food is watermelon. Since M has been on P2 I have basically been eating the same things she meat and veggie wise, no melbas or apples) has, but have my watermelon AFTER she goes to bed. I'd love to be able to do a round maybe in January and drop around 15-20 lbs. more and then stabalize there.

Quick update! I have been running crazy! Started selling Avon and trying to get my Thirty-One business off the ground while working full-time and trying to finish my Masters! We went on vacation 9/8, which is the same day that I started P4. Just got back last night so not too concerned about the gain, since I can tell I am retaining water and Bernice hasn't been very giving over the last few days. I am going to eat P3 style for the next couple of days and take some magnesium to see if I can get Bernice to be a little nicer to me.

Hope everyone is doing well!
Hope things settle down for you and you see a loss tomorrow!

Again, no loss...so this is day 3, SO hoping for something tomorrow as I really don't want to do an apple day already. I'm thinking the fat burning part is just starting, as the first 11 pounds were probably water and the horrible food I ate the last few weeks.

Good luck this week everyone!
Maybe you will have a big loss tomorrow.

I asked my daughter why she thinks I did not get sick. Her answer: "Because you don't stay up late and you don't eat sugar." I only wish that knowledge were enough to make her stay away from the stuff. Maybe someday
I hope the viruses and flu stay far away from here. M can't afford to miss any more school.

I hope you see 159 tomorrow!

M stayed the same today. Her cycle finally showed though so I think the no change on the scale is better than a gain. I boo boo'd yesterday and made her a center cut pork chop. I since found out it is not protocol so she will not be eating them again until P3. Everyone have a great day, may the cravings stay away and everyone have a nice drop tomorrow!

That is freaking awesome! You and M started the same day and at the end of loading almost the same weight and now you are 5 lbs. lower than her. I hope it was her cycle coming and now that it is here she can pick up some bigger losses. Congrats to you!

Koo Yerba mate is a healthy tea like green tea plus it's good for controlling hunger. I find if I drink it strong (it's yucky then) then it really helps control my hunger.

Gilded I was ready to chew nails yesterday, but my hunger is pretty managable today except for this morning before lunch - I don't like to do breakfast on P2 as it just seems to lengthen my hunger.

I do however have the rumbly Candida tummy. Am trying a cup of warm broth as that often helps ... Dang it's noisy over here! I'm going to try to avoid the coconut this round. Maybe I'll do some clove capsules if this is still happening later today.

Making chicken for all tonight plus refried beans for kids/DH.

OK, for some reason I can't type properly during P2 or spell right.

P.S. Already hopped on scale and can tell it's starting to move the right direction again. I am a scale NUT on P2!

PPS. If you asked me something and I missed it I'm sorry...I cannot keep two thoughts in my head right now!

Hi ladies!!! I havn't been on much since I'm doing P4. But I'm gearing up to start a new round, my second round starts in a few days!!!

I'm getting excited to start losing again. I'm avaraging about 197 lately and I'm hoping to end my 21 day round at 179. Do you think that's doable? I'm loading Thursday and Friday and Saturday will be VLCD #1.

Hi everyone! This is the first chance I've had to jump on all day and there's so much going on!!

WW I can't wait to see the pictures!! Your BF isn't going to know what hit him!!!

Dawn I really hope you are feeling better! It's so hard to go to work and deal with the public when you are feeling so yucky!! I was a waitress for 20 years, so I know how tough that is!

Koo, I'm sorry M is still feeling hungry! Is she physically hungry or mentally hungry? I know sometimes I just want to eat so bad, but it's not an actual physical hunger, it's just me wanting to eat. I think, for me anyway, that's the hardest thing to change!

Sassy, I'm sorry the scale wasn't your friend today, but I'm sure tomorrow will be a big release day for you!!

Pati Great Loss! Isn't it amazing how great you feel on this!!

BlueMonday I know what you mean, I keep hoping my kids will learn from watching me struggle their whole lives with my weight, but I see my 2 oldest girls, in their 20's now, and battling it already. I really wish they had learned from my many, many mistakes!

Beedee99 Good for you!! It's definitely harder in social situations!!

CSSJMiMi I think you're right where I am, we're entering week 3, which I keep hearing is the tough one for losing.

Julie Those meals sound so great and so convenient!! I wish we had a place like that close by! It's not hard to make the meals, but finding time is definitely difficult!

Paula Not to sound stupid, but what's Candida Tummy?

As for me, I'm still holding steady. My body is determined not to let me hit that 20 pound mark!! I feel thinner today though. I know, that makes no sense, but I do. Is it possible that I'm drinking too much water and it's showing on the scale? Is that even possible? I'm drinking about a 1 1/2 gallons per day. Is that too much or about right?

I'm up 1.4 today!! I haven't changed anything, but man I've been battling these last 3 pounds the entire last week! I'm up and I'm down! I'm planning on doing my last dose on Wednesday, but should I stop earlier?? I know technically I haven't stalled, but I did gain- could I do an apple day anyway? or is the answer water water water?? I haven't been that hungry, so I've been skipping the melba and one fruit, do you think that's hurting me? geeze oh pete, I'm 28 days in- you'd think i'd have it figured out by now!
