What's On Your P3 Menu? Post Your Menus Here!

OK...since it was my bright idea...I will start off!

B: 2 fried eggs in butter
S: Hard boiled egg (1 or 2) w/brown mustard to dip in
L: Pulled pork with franks Hot sauce
D: Ribeye steak on grill with tomatoes from the garden
S: strawberries with whipped cream

I always say subject to change...as I never know how things might be when I get home from work, but I know Bfast and Lunch and AM snack are for certain!

I dug out some of my old journals from P3 from last summer. This is one I found from June 28, 2009:

B: eggs with cheese (I have no idea how many as we were feeding 10!!)
L: salad (lettuce) with Caesar parmesan cheese dressing, chicken salad on top
S: 2 cream cheese muffins (kept me away from my niece's birthday cake!!)
D: Steak, leftover from last night fried with peppers, onions and topped with sour cream and squash
S: strawberries and raspberries
Drinks: 2 cups of coffee and 3 32 oz water

B: at hotel--2 hard boiled eggs, decaf coffee
L: At Wendy's--Baconator (NO bun!!) and part of DH's salad; 1 cream cheese muffin
D: london broil, grilled; salad (lettuce and other garden veggies as my SIL has a nice garden!) with Caesar parmesan dressing; 1 cream cheese muffin

Peggy, would you mind sharing how you make the dressing and the zucchini with sauce?

I made baked spaghetti with spaghetti squash last night and it was blah, blah, horrible. Threw it out. Awful.

Yesterday's menu:
McMuffin minus muffin
Squash casserole & pepperoni
Fried chicken (with flax/almond coating) plus salad with avocado dressing
2 mug cakes!

Brenda Did you hate the squash flavor? I make my spaghetti squash and serve it with either lemon butter & salt, or rebake with cream and cheddar. However my mema introduced me to spaghetti squash when I was 10, so I'm a longtime fan! FYI - my twinsister's name is also Brenda.

Well, Last weekend I made a meat sauce using a recipe that I found on Mark Sisson's blog....just google him. He has a daily blog and in the archives has lots of yummy ideas for things. Anyway, I am going to grill the zuchini on the grill with a bit of EVOO and sea salt and pepper and then top the zuch with the meat sauce and some freshly grated parm cheese. YUM! I have eaten the meat sauce as a soup one of the days that I did not feel up to eating a lot. That worked too!

My salad dressing? I just mix mayo with a bit of sour cream and then grind black pepper and add garlic powder and mix. I make it in one of those tiny rubbermaid containers that carries enough for one serving. I also make a yummy dressing made the same way, except that I add feta cheese to it. You can use either as a dip as well. YUM!

Hope this helps.

Paula, I'm not sure if I hate the squash flavor or just how it mixed in the Italian casserole. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to try it again. You're lucky you were acclimated at a young age! Your recipes sound like more of a side dish, which I could probably handle. Cool on your twin sis! I have brothers that are twins. I am thinking of trying the mug cake today as I want to up my calories/food intake. My dd would love it if I made the fried chicken.

Thanks so much! I had never heard of him! Huge site.

I will for sure try your dressing! Sounds delish!

Is this the meat sauce recipe?

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium white onion, diced
1 red and yellow bell pepper, diced
2 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
1 tbs. rosemary chopped
1 tsp. thyme chopped
1 can 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
1 can 28 oz. diced tomatoes
1 can 6 oz. tomato paste
˝ cup sundried tomatoes, chopped
1 cup red wine
Salt and pepper to taste
˝ tsp. chili pepper flakes
1 bay leaf

Optional add-ins:
Mushrooms, zucchini or spinach

Method:
Coat pan with olive oil and add ground beef, onions, bell peppers, garlic, rosemary and thyme. Saute until ground beef turns brown. Add remaining ingredients and let simmer. With a dish like this, patience is a virtue – the longer it simmers, the longer it gives the ingredients to mingle, creating a more robust, flavorful sauce.

YES, that is the recipe. It is a good tasting sauce. His archives are HUGE and I can waste a whole lot of time looking through the recipes there.

Yesterday's menu was crazy strange:
B: nothing
snacks: coconut oil treats (5.5 TB worth - trying to clear candida before next round)
L: salsa with flax cracker, spinach salad with salami & blue cheese dressing
D: Chili with sour cream, queso sauce with chili.

2223 calories, 200 gm fat, 45 carbs, 77 protein.

Up .2 this morning. I think 2200 is probably a bit excessive for me. Averaged 1800 this week - I think that will be my final average for this round. Quite happy with it as it was 1400/1500 before the round (and on low carb as well). Today is day 20 for me on P3.

Tonight am planning chicken wings!

Tomorrow will be my official 1st day to eat P3 style! You know I'm so happy about it and yet, as I type this.. my desire to eat off VLC isn't too strong. Weird. It's like I'm content on 500 calories and the idea of eating other stuff doesn't sound as good as it did a week ago.

This is subject to change but after breakfast we will be gone all day so I kinda need to plan ahead.

Breakfast: Bacon & Eggs
Snack: Strawberries with a sprinkle of Splenda
Late lunch/Early dinner: Sirloin Steak & Steamed Broccoli
Snacks: Beef jerky, Almonds

I'm going to take some sugar free beef jerky and nuts with me to snack on if I get hungry tomorrow night. We're going out to eat for lunch/dinner and then to my nephews to play games and hang out. I need to take stuff with me so I'm not tempted to eat any junk that I know they will have.

Going out later for the football game and not sure what the catered food will be. I'll eat the protein and guzzled iced tea.

I love spaghetti squash and usually mix mine up with ground turkey breast that I cook up with taco spices then add salsa as a sauce......YUM. I guess I was thinking that would be off for me for P3 too since its a starchy veg.

Spaghetti squash - it's a starchier veg so you would definitely use in smaller quantities. Here's the info:

1 cup cooked spaghetti squash - 42 calories, 10 carbs, 2 fiber

I made the inside out eggrolls today I'm going to make a p2 version one day this week I think Also made Cleo's cauli pizza. I liked it but for the calories, etc. I'd rather do the flatdown bread as my crust. It was fun trying it out though and sure was easy to make. My friend couldn't believe it was cauliflower
