WOE: HCG Simeon's Protocol
Start Date: R5 1/2012
So, I took my first dose of hhcg before bed last night for R2 today. (remember this is my first hhcg expierence) and I woke up starving this am ... so I am doing another day of P3 on the juice and starting P2 tommorrow. I don't mind being a little hungry but I don't want to start the phase out miserable. I don't know how long it takes to get hhcg to theraputic dose but I know the rx takes the two loading days .... so we will see. Honestly, I think after two doses I'm already starting to feel that awesome hcg kick .. so I should be ready to rock on tommorrow, COME ON WEIGHT LOSS!!!!

Yesterday's CRaZy menu (I got a little rogue because I thought it was my last day of P3 for a while)

B: THREE (yes crazy) crm cheese muffins, coffee w/half and half, raspberries
L: 2nd time eating out in P3, J Alexanders ... grilled tuna on a huge salad w/ranch dressing, and 6 (yes I counted) of my husbands TINY shoestring french fries (my favorite food in the whole world)
D: AES protein bar, mozz cheese stick
S: pumpkin pie w/homemade whipped crm, raspberries

calories: 1,746 (too low but I was full and it was late when I realized I needed more calories)

Today's weight: no change, still at my LDW .. 10 days now!!!! Happy dance!

I don't know if I got lucky w/my stablizing, but I do want to say that I think my consistant calories of around 2000 and very high FAT and protein helped?!?! The only gain I had was w/my wine so unfortunantly I never drank another glass of it ... it will still be there when I'm through w/this crazy hcg world!!!

Good luck to all of you today!!!!

Hey, thanks for asking. M is still in P3 but she is up two pounds yesterday and today. I am a little disappointed since this is the first gain she has had since starting with the hcg. She had two cookies on Saturday (since she was doing so well maintaining we thought it wouldn't hurt) but she didn't show a gain on Sunday from them. Other than that she is on plan.

I haven't gotten to read the other threads yet. How are you doing? Getting big losses?

Is she following P3 protocol, if she is then the cookies probably had sugar in them and it could be why she is up, but at least you caught it right away and can adjust.

I was 190.2 after the 2 days of loading and today I am 177.2 so I have lost 13 pounds 9 days of vlcd. I am pleased with the weight loss, I find it very easy now that I am into a routine.

M seems to be doing really good. The Atkins shake doesn't cause any problems for her?

It is good that she has you to help her, way to go Mom

I see pumpkin bake! Is it Jody's Pumpkin Bake?

I have that on the list for Thanksgiving.

I am going to make these for Saturday and Sunday:

Amy's protein Cookie - Linda Sue revamped it I think.

AMY'S 30-SECOND PROTEIN COOKIE
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 scoop vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder, 1/6 cup
2 teaspoons granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda *
Water, about 3/4 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon

In a small microwaveable bowl, heat the butter in the microwave about 20 seconds or until melted. If you're using liquid Splenda, mix it into the melted butter now. Stir in the whey powder and granular Splenda as well as you can. It will be very dry. Gradually add some water, about 1/8 teaspoon at a time, just until you can form the mixture into a ball that isn't too sticky to handle. Keep the dough ball in the bowl and microwave on HIGH 15-30 seconds or until the dough puffs up. Don't over cook it or it will come out very dry. In my microwave it takes about 15 seconds or so. Cool and eat.

If you microwave the cookie for about 15 seconds you'll get a more tender, chewy cookie but it won't be very big. Microwaving it for closer to 30 seconds causes the dough to puff up almost twice as much but the cookie will be pretty dry and crumbly. The photo above shows a 15 second cookie and the photo below is how they look after 25-30 seconds of cooking.

Makes 1 cookie
Can be frozen

* If you don't have liquid Splenda, you could use a little Da Vinci syrup in place of the water and Splenda.

With granular Splenda:
Per Cookie: 88 Calories; 5g Fat; 9g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 2g Net Carbs

With liquid Splenda:
Per Cookie: 84 Calories; 5g Fat; 9g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb

Exactly! And they are not over kill on calories - so it would go well with a cup of tea or coffee with cream.

Thank you. The Atkins shakes aren't making her gain but I don't know if they would be stalling her if she were trying to lose.

Dinner was great, compliments of my mother! As far as lunch, while she is in school she doesn't like to take anything. They have started to sell a smoothie at lunch time that some of the kids like to buy so I am thinking next week after she is into P4 we will give it a shot and see how it affects her weight wise and hunger trigger wise.

Those do look good, and healthy with the dose of protein. I'd consider sending a couple of those with M to school for lunch but I can imagine what would people be thinking seeing her eating cookies for lunch.

I think you could perhaps shape them like a bar - instead of a cookie. I think I will play with them and see if they can be a muffin. Also add some cocoa powder for flavor or even sf vanilla syrup. Lots of ideas.

I saw this recipe for protein bars and thought it looked good and I will be
making them as they are transportable. Might be another idea for M. I think
I have adopted her as one of my nieces and I have never even met her...
just feel like I have! LOL!

* 1/2 cup coconut oil
* 2-4 tablespoons sweetener of your choice (ex: whole sugar, maple syrup, honey, splenda, etc.)
* 4 eggs
* 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, optional
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup grated or flaked dried coconut, unsweetened
* 1/2 cup chia seeds
* 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder, optional
* 1 cup coconut flour

Preheat oven to 375. Grease cookie sheet(s) with extra coconut oil.

Melt oil if needed and in a large bowl stir in remaining ingredients with the oil until well blended.
Place spoon sized mounds unto prepared cookie sheets and pat down slightly into bars.

Bake in preheated oven for 14-15 minutes. Don't overcook.

Technically, yes they are OK to use on P3. But YMMV as with any item we are "allowed" to have!!

I know...that is why I call it my science experiment! LOL! I actually did fine with almond flour and flax meal. Raw almonds were another story I think I am going to try roasting them.
