WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Koo-that's great she's still losing going into P3. I've been doing it for about 10 days now, and it's been trickier than I thought. I have to be careful with the volume of my veggies. I was really bummed to figure that out. I hope she enjoys the new food choices and stabilizes well. Her age should help with that. I'm sure she's thrilled with her great results!! Hopefully she'll be even more excited to keep going with her losses. I wish my mom had helped me when I was her age, the way you have. I'm sure my life would have been much happier if I had been thinner, healthier and happier in my own skin.

We tend to post less often than the P2ers, it's less exciting than losing a lot each day. I miss seeing the scale go down, but am happy that the past 3 days it seems to have settled down for me. From what I've seen we all tend to have more wide swings the first week or so, and it seems to settle down around day 10ish. We'll see. I need to keep it clean to keep having success. I am looking forward to day 22, and adding some more fruit and yogurt. I have been trying to avoid fruit until I stabilize, and only have some yogurt every 3 days. Getting there!!

Enjoy!

Julie - I am the same with yogurt. Everytime I have 1 serving of Greek yogurt, I'm up the next day. It's a bummer because I love it. I guess I'll just have to wait too.

I think this part will be tricky for her. We went out to eat and she ordered grilled tuna, with caesar salad and green beans which is all great but while she was waiting for the food she dibbled in some artichoke dip (without the bowtie noodles) and some shrimp remolade. It was all legal P3 foods but I think she might have overdid. She did end of bring home half of her tuna and greenbeans. I am interested to see what the scale does tomorrow.

Glad to hear your weight has kind of settled now, I wish it wasn't so close to the holidays so everyone could have another P2 round before Christmas.

I will have watch for yogurt when she adds it. Love that everyone can share what foods give them trouble.

WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Ok, I was doing well until we went out to dinner last night. Maybe I was getting comfortable since I'd been in the "window" for 3 days straight. I dunno. I got a bunless burger w/ fried onions, bacon and cheese and a side cesar salad. But, dh got these amazing onion rings, and I had 3!! I didn't think they'd hurt that much. And I picked a few bites of his BBQ chicken and bacon off his pizza. I am, not surprisingly, up a lb. today! Every time I have salad (which I know is probably not entirely to blame here) I gain!!

So, if I were a more cautious person I would do a correction day today. But I'm gonna' just try limiting my calories, and sticking to clean sugar-free, starch free foods today.

I did make the pumpkin bake and have had a little bit the last few days. It didn't seem to cause me any problems, but maybe a cumulative effect? Oh, and I did have half a cup of yogurt yesterday. That's probably not helping either!! I guess I wasn't stabilizing as well as I thought!!

Ok, so, lesson learned! No more playing around with slightly "bad" foods. I know others seem to be able to do it, but not me. Sigh. I guess I'll just keep it clean, and small today and see how tomorrow goes!! And that's what this phase is for, right? Experimenting with what our bodies can tolerate and getting it down to a science!! Man, I've been reading the rogue thread and a BIG part of me wants to start dosing with the HHCG to see if I could just lose some more while not following the 500cal plan. But I'm too much of a chicken!! LOL!

Scarlet-you're so careful and controlled!! I admire your dedication and am inspired to be more controlled myself. I just miss eating out. Sigh. I always seem to have trouble when I do!

Koo-hope she enjoys herself. That's great she brought half her porttion home. I need to do that more often. Maybe my restaurant trouble is partly portion size too! Hope the scale is kind to her and she doesn't have stress with the stabilization process.

I'm off to enjoy my coffee. I'm putting a little cocoa powder in it to make it a "mocha" this morning. At 2g net carbs shouldn't impact me too much. We'll see!

Julie, I agree with you on not doing a correction day yet, I think if you stay super clean today, you should be fine. M is sleeping in today so she hasn't weighed in yet.

Someone tell me if I am eating way too much for day 1 of P3

6 a.m. snack - (I always have this P2 when I wake up so I don't hurl my supplements but today I only had 1/4 instead of 1/2) 1/4 protein shake with an apple
Breakfast - cottage cheese
lunch - 5 oz of flank steak w/sour cream horse radish sauce. Small salad with beets and mushrooms and blue cheese dressing.

I am sooooo full and my tummy is grumbling...

for dinner maybe I should just eat P2 style?

I would question the beets since beets have a good bit of sugar to them.

I think you are doing fine, M seemed like she ate so much that first P3 day and still had a loss the next day. Since I follow Atkins it is easy for me to guide her with what is suitable and what is not with no sugars or carbs. M hasn't eaten any apples since moving over and I just recently (since she started P2)started eating them so hopefully Dawn or one of the other pros drop in and say whether the Apple is still allowed. Calorie wise I think you are doing fine!

Hi Droy - How did P3 go today? I don't know if you already use ******.com to log your calories but it's a great tool. The first few days in P3 I was gaining and then I figured out how many calories I was consuming and it wasn't nearly enough food. I hope you see good results on the scale in the morning.

My meals: Egg day (10 eggs). Enough said.

LOL - I lost again. Down to 144.8 (LIW was 146.2) I had a chicken breast and cucumbers for dinner because my tummy was so upset from lunch still. Not sure what to do today - salad dressing made me spend the rest of the day in the bathroom and too sick to function so I don't want to do that again but I also don't want to add anything new in just yet.

Are you taking probiotics to help with the tummy adjustment issues in P3?

Not that I know of but I don't eat a lot of dairy typically.
I just had a chickn breast with a salad of lettuce, mushrooms, peas (are they ok), cucumbers, tomatoes and ranch. Maybe since the ranch isn't so thick I will be ok. (HOPING)

I think potatoes, beets, carrots and peas are your higher carb veggies. I don't think it is allowed in P3.

Dang it! I suck at this guessing game. I added sausage today too. Is that ok? (no sugar) but is it one of the things you add in slowly?

My FIRST P3 day!!!

B: coffee w/half/half w/stevia and cocoa, 4 pieces of turkey bacon (no sugar)
L: cottage cheese blended w/stawberries and 1/2 scoop of pure whey protein
S: turkey and cheese
S: latte w/SF cinamon dolce YUM
D: grilled chicken caesar salad w/bacon

I'm at 1400 calories ... I'm shooting for 2000. It's unbelievable to me that eating that many doesn't just come naturally!!!!

I need a snack, anyone have a good suggestion!

Did you add all this in on day 1? I thought we were supposed to do one thing at a time? And here I was freaking out about salad dressing and sausage. Is this your first p3? I am new to this so I am trying to figure out the categories and what is ok to start with adding.
