Foreman Grill Question

Sorry to bother you but I am just starting my first round.
This is probably a dumb question. Can you spray the Foreman w/ cooking spray so the meat doesn't stick? If we don't use spray how do you keep the meat from sticking to the grill?

I don't know if we can or can't but I do use a GF and I don't spray it with anything and don't have an issue with sticking. I'm mostly cooking chicken on it and steak/burgers. HTH

My Foreman grill has a non-stick teflon surface - or, I should say, it HAD a non-stick surface. I really need a new one. But oils & sprays are a no-no. I use my Weber outdoors for all my grilling now.

The spray is not on protocol. However, when I first started p2, I did spray my Foreman as EVERYTHING stuck to it. I learned since then to let it get super hot before putting the food on it and that seemed to help some. It still stuck somewhat but not nearly as bad as before. HTH!

Thank you so much for the quick answers. I am so nervous I am going to do something wrong and screw everything up. I guess the best answer is if I have a question just don't do it. Then I don't have to worry about screwing up!

Have a great day!

Or if you have a question, just ask! Lots of friendly, helpful, experiences peeps here!

I was scared of doing anything wrong too at first. I am still new (R1P2VLCD9) but feeling much less worried about screwing up. Jump in and read, read, read. That's really what helped me. And asking questions even if I was pretty sure it had already been asked a kajillion times

Best to you on your first round!

I don't spray mine either. I just make sure it is super hot and then wipe it down when it is still pretty hot to get the stuck stuff off. Just use alot of paper towels to wipe it so you don't burn your fingers.

This, as long as the grill is hot I don't seem to have a problem.

I get mine super hot too and use a little spray bottle filled with water and/or vinegars to spritz it down, add my meat/veggie, spritz again and close the top. Get's my food nice and juicy and no sticking.

I've had no problems with my GF and the meat itself sticking, although sometimes I need to be careful cleaning it up. As others said though it's best not to use any kind of cooking spray as this has oils and, despite what the rattlecan might say, does indeed have calories that are against protocol.

Oh, and !!!
