BIG goof - now what?

I won't go into details (because they're frankly a bit embarrassing) but sufficed to say my vacation didn't go as well as I'd hoped and I gained quite a few pounds. (not ALL of it back though, thank you Big Guy Upstairs!) Next time no vacations in the middle of P3, at least not any where I don't have the choices of food!

Anyway, I'm back on my LC/P3 diet but I'm wondering what exactly I should do. I honestly don't see myself losing back to LDW by the time I want to cycle back to another P2 (which was going to be in a week and a half from now) so will be doing an extended P3, possibly a LC P4. I just want to get close(r) to where I was for LDW and stay there a while.

What advice do you all have for a major WHOOPS diet-wise? I'm hoping to get back to LDW but that's looking like a pipe-dream; guess we'll see in a week or so of P3 where I can get myself.

In your shoes I'd consider your time spent on P3 so far as an interruption and get back to P2. I'm no expert though. Hopefully one of our seasoned hcgr's will come in and give you some advice.

Maybe treat the rest of your P3 as a meat/egg (or very low carb) fast until you hit close to LDW? I am very new to this so if this is bad advice I hope someone speaks up!!

Sorry this happenedbut if we all learn from it, it won't be in vain!!

I agree. It's the quickest way. Just make sure your head is in the right place first. For me, it's as much mental as physical. Good luck and I know you can do it. I'm cheering you on, either way.

I have no advice, just wanted to say I totally bleeped the pooch on my p3 as well. I am going to treat it as an interruption and go back to p2 this week. Well, that may be construed as advice, but I really just wanted to come in and say you aren't alone.

It's so weird that you have called me BB a couple of times... it's my initials IRL.

No I've yet to do a correction day. I'm going to try to stay on plan (P3) for a few days to see where I end up then try a correction day (or two).

I hadn't even thought about cycling into another round of P2 - good idea! - but I can't do it immediately as I don't have any HCG at the moment. My next paycheck (a week from tomorrow) will fund another bottle but until then I'm going to do Induction-level eating.

I'm just really disappointed with myself for going so far off plan. I thought for sure I could keep it up for a few days of vacation but... Anyway, now to figure out how to fix my mistake, if it's actually a "fixable" offense.

I'm thinking a correction day, while probably a bit late at this point, would be a very good idea. My memory on the steak day is fuzzy, I basically don't eat anything until a steak dinner, right? As much water as I want though, or less like an apple day?

Guess this is the day for mess ups. I Also MESSED up ROYALLY tonight. I was doing soooo good at sticking to protical...even while I was having snail lose's! AND I just KNEW I was going to see 185tomorrow. I am so mad at myself.
I met up with some friends and PURPOSLY met up with them AFTER they had eatten dinner together.....

When I arrived they had a glass of..WINE waiting for me!!!!! WHICH IS KRYP-TO-NITE to me. (They dont know about my diet) One glass lead to '3 glasses'. Now I'm home and feel I need to call protical rehab. I have no excuse..I knew as I was putting the glass to my lips that I was messing up I dont want to step on the scale 2morrow...Sniff Sniff,,all that hard work. THIS SUCKS! I'm seriously kicking rocks.

Okay..Now I'm really proving I drank wine..How do I delete my double post. The edit botton says 'delete or edit' but I dont see where there is the delete option...Hmmm

Should 2morrow be steak day or apple day? I have read TONS of thread but never one that mentioned mess up's on alcohol.

Drinking 'WATER now and going to bed early...for a vegas girl (2:00am)

Sassy, I've been where you are many times. You can still get back to LDW range or very close..don't give up hope. What worked the best for me was to rotate CD with regular P3 days. For example, I'd do either an all chicken day or meat & egg day for CD then eat regular P3 the next day and the weight came back off. Don't be ashamed. We've all done it but the key is to correct it before it gets too out of hand. HTH.

Sorry for all of you who were faced with temptation, so sorry it got the better of you. Just climb back on the wagon. We'll hold it steady here until you get back on, then we move forward.

Sarah, I second doing a correction day instead of trying to P3 your weight down.

MBB, I was wondering where ya were too. {{{MBB}}} We're here to support ya, not judge you, so come on in, the water's fine. We need ya here too!

Lorrie, I am SO with you on the wine. I love my wine and would have a tough time resisting. I bet it went right to your head too.

No correction day unless you are WAY up this morning, I would think. Just pick up and keep going and drink a TON of water to flush that out.

I'm going to try some CDs instead of cycling to P2 immediately (I found my HCG, thought I'd thrown it away). Hopefully I can get back to my LDW but it's my fault if I don't. *sigh*

Oh it's out of hand now. I wasn't up to my pre-load weight, but close enough that it made me lightheaded thinking about it. I'm down about 3lbs so far, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

I'm right there with you!! Starving this morning, want to OD on water but am afraid I'll have to rush to the restroom constantly (which wouldn't work with my job). I doubt one CD will take care of all this extra weight but hopefully it'll get things done in a hurry!

Correction days if I recall are meant to be done the day you see the gain...not days later. If it were me, I would do a few low carb higher protein days sticking to just meat and veggies and I bet it comes right off.

Sarah, another option *I believe, experts correct me if I'm wrong* is to do a raw nut day where you snack on high fat, raw nuts all day. I know it gets Berniece to visit too. I've also seen some post about a shake day but I don't know the details of that. Luckily, I avoided the CD but just barely, I was exactly 2 lbs over LDW this morning. Phew!

LOL, that is a spin on my town's actual name, but YES, many mullets reside here.

I sure hope so. Today turned out not to be a CD as I needed to eat by lunch (detox symptoms like cold extremities and shaky hands) so hopefully tomorrow or the day after I can try a correction day (STEAK! NOMNOM!!). Thankfully I was already down 2lbs this morning from the previous day but I still feel like I've got a LOOOONG way to go.

You are certainly not alone!!! Hey, I have done 3 rounds as repeat rounds!!! I do so well on P2--perfect P2s!!! It is P3/P4 that are killer for me!!! Just hop back with the rest of us and lose that weight fast!!! I have not even gotten back to my pre-vacation weight, but I am so pleased with how fast the weight is dropping AND even more so---how I look!!
