Any advice for vacation on P3?
We decided at the last minute to change our vacation plans. Originally we were going to be staying at a place where there wasn't really any tempting restaurants.
Well, we are now going to Florida, and there are MANY restaurants on the beach that I just love! So, now I'm a little concerned. We will have a full kitchen, so all our breakfasts, and probably lunches will be at the condo, but dinners probably out. What can I have to make me feel I'm not missing out? What are your favorite P3 snacks? Thanks in advance, you all are the best! |

I'd get plenty of seafood, grilled steaks, loaded salads and protein style burgers
with yummy veggies when dining out! At the condo I'd make eggs my breakfast plan. Crustless loaded quiches, omlettes, eggs with a side of meat and I'd have fruit as well. For lunches I'd make tuna salad, egg salad, assorted ns added deli meats, cheese and serve in lettuce leaves, have some celery on hand for scooping, for snacks I'd wrap proscuitto around cantaloupe slices, have a veggie tray with ranch around, maybe some buffalo chicken dip? it's great cold after you put it together with celery sticks or pork rinds for you, chips for the family, poppers? deviled eggs? |

I love P3 type food and it's easy on vacation - I've done it.. just stay strong and focused on your ultimate goal.
Eating out: Steak & Veggies - tell them to hold the potato & bread and give you all steamed veggies. Grilled Chicken (same as above) Fajita's but have them hold the tortillas and beans/rice just eat the grilled meat with cheese, sour cream and avocado/guacamole. Taco Salad - have them hold the rice/beans Side Salad with ranch Lettuce wrapped burgers Eggs & breakfast meat - no potatoes or bread Quiche Omlette's Things I'd make ahead or there: Cheese crisps (cut tiny pieces of REAL cheese slices and place on parchment paper in the microwave for a minute or two until crispy) Pepperoni slices (same thing as above) Broccoli, celery, cucumber, jicama, cauliflower, radishes with ranch dip Jalapeno poppers with ranch Mini Cheesecake Bites One Minute Muffins (I make them taste like single serving cake with whip cream.. yum!) Raspberry Almond Cheese Crumb Cake Nuts Peanut Butter on Celery Deviled Eggs Tuna Salad to eat on the Cheese crisps Have a great vacation!

I was just at the grocery store and was thinking of you. What about ordering a veggie tray and a meat/cheese platter from a local store where you're vacationing? No prep for you
just pick up some crackers for your family and you're golden. |

Can we drink Alcohol on p3? My brothers wedding is next month and they are serving it with wine and I was wondering if it was allowed...?

I'm not sure about wine but I know alcohol has a lot of calories/carbs and are typically a no-no. I know there is a brand of Margarita Mix that is low carb and a lot of low carb folks rave about it being so great. It's called Baja Bob's or something like that. It may be a sugar free version but lots of the girls love it and drink it on Atkins.

At restaurants, just ask them to hold the potatoes/rice/pasta, and give you extra veggies or a side salad. Most restaurants are very accommodating that way. Have a great trip!! ![]() |
