joflora, I didn't know. I just did it. And once I started there was no slipping up allowed. Its for such a short time I figured I could do anything for 23 days. You're going to be soooo amazed! Make sure you measure once a week!

Mindfulness, I'm blown away by how well you and your hubby are doing!

CaTriGirl, are you working out a lot? You look so muscular! I guess I should get off my butt and start exercising.

I'm at the end of my 2nd round. I've lost 30 lbs and 50.25 inches TOTAL between the two rounds and I want to take a second and honor my hard work. I've been in the middle of a divorce and still managed to stay on track.

Here goes!

You look absolutely fabulous! I am so tempted to send your pictures to the nutritionist in the family who claimed people will lose muscle on the hhcg protocol. Congrats!!!!

I'm a little disappointed tonight, I have been researching hhcg and hcg.....
Without getting into to much details about what I have learned and being careful w/my words...(moderators)
The kind with alcohol in the ingredients is not good.....Basically....
I feel disappointed and wonder if it is going to make a difference w/me?

joflora: Not sure where you read that. My drops seem to be working just fine. Here is what I've found so far.

Here is a bit of what I've found
~ The alcohol base in homeopathic remedies is required by the FDA as a preservative in liquid formulas. To meet F.D.A. approved preservation, sub-lingual hCG Diet drops can contain alcohol.

~ Homeopathic remedies are alcohol (and sometimes water) based solutions containing small amounts of certain naturally occurring plants, minerals, animal products, or chemicals. The term "homeopathy" comes from the Greek words "homoios" (similar) and "pathos" (suffering). There is absolutely no difference in the amount of hCG between a water-based solution and a solution containing alcohol.

~ All professionals know that the alcohol does not kill the hormone.

~ hCG can be absorbed more efficiently through an alcohol based solution as the alcohol accelerates the process of absorption.

~ hCG can survive for years in an alcohol-based formula versus only days for a water-based formula.

~ Alcohol free hCG should be refrigerated at all times once it is opened.

There's more. Just google hcg with alcohol or without alcohol and keep looking.

Ive read the total opposite from what you have told me....I have seen your guys results here the photo's dont lie...I cant tell u where I got this info from..But read:Real HCG is an organic, live substance. Alcohol totally destroys it.
(This is quite a debate) Wish I could talk more about it and feel comfortable talking about it but dont want to overstep the rules...I am just afraid and hope this works...

joflora: Also found.

HCG is a naturally occurring peptide (protein) hormone and therefore can't be considered "alive." Alcohol doesn't kill or neutralize hormones. If it did, you'd be killing your own hormones when you drank an alcoholic beverage and the alcohol entered your blood stream. Even the injectible prescription HCG is offered in an alcohol solution.

I do see a few sites that do not advocate drops with alcohol, purists IMO.

I have read that you need the alcohol and that you don't, the drops I am using don't have any but it seems that people who are using either ones are doing good. Don't give up.

How much weight do you have to lose? Maybe you need to add a little more protein in or switch up your veggies. Do you have 2 diffent proteins in a day, I read that we shouldn't be eating the same thing for both meals so try switching up the veggies and meat.

Not sure if your stats are updated or not, but you are losing exactly 1/2 pound per day on average. That is what I lose, and it's a fantastic result!

Unfortunately it can be hard to watch some of our friends on the boards lose at twice the rate. But I'm grateful for what I've got!

I think I would like to try this....but have budget restraints. I like the fact that I don't need to spend alot on food like with lowcarb....as I have very little appetite and do not cook. So, could someone pm me and let me know what brand of juice they ordered that was cheap but works??

Thanks!

We can mention brand names but not where we purchase them. I have used both RX and Natural Health Labs, and both lose about 1/2 pound per day on them. I've heard great things about the brand Netrition sells as well.

Thanks everyone! I think I see the biggest change in my attitude! I went through my closet today and took out everything that was size 10 and up. My STBX says he doesn't recognize me and is moaning that I look better now than when we were together. I did this for me. And I still have a round or 2 more to go since I seem to be losing at a much slower rate now. Just feels so good to feel capable of doing this!

joflora, in your shoes I would go for it. My hHCG was all alcohol based and I did great and maintained without ever going outside my 2 lb window after Round 1 even on an extended P4 (which for me meant cake, pizza, etc.) This is the only thing I've ever done where I have felt like a person who isn't constantly obsessing and guilting all the time. The rounds are short (if you want them to be) and so doable...I was only hungry a few times with giant losses afterward during P2. YMMV

How exciting silkandsand The smaller you get the bigger the attitude STBX - Well thats just what he gets.

I have the homeopathic kind w/alcohol and I am going to roll with it and get the RX for my second round...."What the hey? That way I can try them both." I am not going to fret over the alcohol anymore
It was driving me crazy....
I am happy w/your results and will be there w/ya soon!

That is not true. My mom is a homeopath and ALL of her remedies use alcohol or glycerine to preserve them.
