Funny about Bernice, maybe you need to have a talk with her about making an appearance when it's convenient for you!
Thanks. I think I am at a good level of calories. I know some folks here can eat 3000 or better, but I am older and hypothyroid and just don't want to mess it up and regain! That would just kill me. That said, I am finally *enjoying* P3. Its not fun to eat and feel I felt like it was loading days all over again!

Oh god no! I am not saying anything to Bernice. You get on her bad side, she will stop visiting you everyday...and I do NOT want that!

Down another .4 today, oddly enough. That puts me below my window. I had quite a bit of sugar-free ice cream last night before bed, so I really expected to see a small gain. Go figure.

I forgot to bring my lunch, so I am going to have to head out of the office and get something to eat. Not sure what to get yet.

P4 is supposed to start Thursday. I'd like to stay at the bottom of my window, so that when some carbs starting hitting my body I have a good amount of wiggle room.
Grilled chicken salad, beef or chicken fajitas minus the tortillas (I have them sub a dinner salad for the beans and rice), taco salad. There are lots of choices out there. You could also do an omelet from ihop, just make sure and tell them NO PANCAKE BATTER!

SUGAR FREE ICE-CREAM??!! I didn't know such a thing existed. Where did you get it?

Also, will someone please tell me how you make your broccoli and cheese? Do you boil it or microwave it or bake it? I need step by step help. Please! My family is going to get tired of salads any day now.

Oh I am so looking forward to P3 in two days. I can hardly wait. I don't know why because I love P2 but maybe its the notion that I can eat cheese. I love cheese too. I won't eat it right away but to have some broccoli again would be the bomb

I'm finding that I miss my P2 eating schedule. I'm on like day 12 of P3 and so far it's been a bit of a fiasco - taking a vacation right at the beginning and deciding to be stupid (aka, eat whatever I want) predictably didn't go so well. I'll be honest: in the time I was eating bad stuff I seem to have gained back nearly 12lbs (in ~4 days). I'm certain most of this is water weight and will come off in the next week or two, but my experience at the airport where I ate and ate and ATE out of sheer boredom has my mind rattled. I'm not normally a binge-eater but Saturday afternoon and night I ate until I was literally sick (well, not upchuck-literally but I really felt like puking). I knew I was going back to P3 eating (which, as we all know, is not at all a bad diet!) on Sunday and my brain had me buying whatever struck my fancy.

*sigh* I know I can't be on P2 indefinitely, but I liked the structure. Sometimes the hunger was a bit annoying, but I did really good with it. The outcome of this vacation has me more than a little disappointed and frankly fearful of the future. Fortunately I have no more vacations until the holidays (which I suppose can be looked at as "vacations" ) and still hope to do two more short rounds before Christmas.

Gah, I'm just so frustrated with myself!!!

Are you in P4 already?? Those are best saved for P4 as they are both too sugary and starchy for P3!! Even though no sugar was added, they are too sweet (bananas) and starchy (sweet potatoes).

I start P3 tomorrow with a question..

My last dose of hcg sub was Friday and I've continued with 500 calories. I start P3 tomorrow morning. Today my weight was down 1.1 lbs. Is this normal?
Which weight do I use in P3 - Friday or today? Pounds and Inches says Last dose (injection) date but I'm worried about which one to use because of the 2 lbs I have to watch for so diligently. Am I making sense here?

This is my first round and I'm very nervous about P3 since P2 went so well and I don't want to blow it because I ignored a pound and it cost me in the end.
Thanks for any assistance.
Yours in health

You use Friday's weight. What you have lost since is what we call "wiggle room". Just means you don't have to be so vigilant on day #1!!!! Yay you!! If you try to stay at the lower weight you will make yourself crazy!! Take it from someone who has BTDT!!!

Oh, and good luck to you tomorrow!! Enjoy your fats and P3 foods!! P3 was my favorite phase.

I haven't posted much, just trying to keep up with all these threads... overwhelming! I'm so impressed with everybody's results!

I have completed a week in P3 and very happy with it so far. I've fluctuated within a 1.5 lb range (a little below LDW, a little above)... I'm keeping a detailed journal. So far I've learned I might be sensitive to lactose (some bloating after eating sour cream, cottage cheese), 3 meals a day works best for me during the week (lunch at noon, snack at 2, dinner around 9-7), and I averaged 34 carbs a day during the first 7 days. This week I'm going to bump it up a little higher.

One non-scale victory that's pretty funny: there's so much space between my inner thighs that I can no longer catch paper clips in my lap! They are landing on the floor

Good going on the stabilizing!!! Fantastic!! Dontcha just love the little stuff!!!??

I have to caution you though---this IS NOT a low carb diet you are doing. This is different than anything you have done before. The rule is NO SUGAR NO STARCH---not low carb. Please do NOT worry about the carb content so much as that one little rule he put forth. If you want to count something count calories!!

My super market has a store brand of sugar free (only a few flavors usually). And there is Carb Smart, which I used to see a lot of places, but now only some WalMarts and some Super Targets seem to have it. There is also the Blue Bunny, which I sometimes see at WalMart.

Be careful with the ice cream. Just a word of caution. Read labels and if it has modified food starch----steer clear!! And Lindy gets a gain after having it!!

My treats on P3---cream cheese muffins, strawberries and other berries smothered in whipped cream. Oh, you can try a sugar free homemade ice cream--the ziploc ice cream can be made with your sweetner of choice!!! I would also eat coconut oil and coconut cream concentrate for in between meals.

OH, and I am a big chocoholic. In P3, I could do the dark chocolate--but kept to just a few squares a day. Loved it!!!!

HI Dawn,

Thanks for the reminder... I actually HATE counting calories. I'm trying to make sure I'm eating enough food. Apples are still a daily part of my menu, even though they are higher carb for fruit, but satisfy my sweet tooth and fill me up!

I don't know how to multi quote... I clicked on that button on the original message and nothing happened...

Thank you, thank you! Dawn, you are my new BFF and I will you forever! The sweet craving just hit me like a ton of bricks. I mixed up some yogurt and splenda for dipping strawberries and cherries. Tomorrow I will make something just to have on hand.

Seriously, thanks again for the info. The recipes take a long time to sift through.

What Gracie absolutely loved on P3 also was sweetened sour cream (just sour cream mixed with whatever sweetener you use, with a touch of vanilla extract!!) and dipping her berries in that. I didn't get into that, but I know others who love this!!!! That would be something P3 friendly as well. I would add some sugar free chocolate chips and sometimes even some sugar free caramel sauce to the muffins. I love the muffins---some have portion control problems with them. So just be aware when you make them--do NOT eat the whole batch or you will need to do a CD the next day!! I can have 1 or 2 and be satisfied, but others have eaten way too many!!

Bummer! My flax bread got moldy! I should have put it in the fridge! So, there will be no grilled cheese tonight. Instead I had a chicken breast smothered in pepperjack cheese and topped with Guac. I had a romain salad with Marie's Creamy Garlic Italian dressing. YUM! Thank goodness I had that leftover chicken breast!!

Dawn, what is coconut cream concentrate and what do you do with it? Brand? I see Netrition must not carry it because it doesn't come up with a link. Also, on the Dark Chocolate. Are you using a sf dark chocolate or one of the super high percentage chocolates? I think I'm going to make some candies out of the Coconut oil and am thinking of using the high count dark chocolate and skip any sweeteners. And yes, I do realize there are some sugars even in the super high dark chocolate available. Have you tried the 99%? I'm a huge super dark choc fan as chocolate goes.

Dawn, what is coconut cream concentrate and what do you do with it? Brand? I see Netrition must not carry it because it doesn't come up with a link. Also, on the Dark Chocolate. I get my coconut cream concentrate from Tropical Traditions. I always get it on sale--2 for 1. And last time I think I got it on the free shipping day!! Those glass jars cost a lot to ship!! And I use the organic dark chocolate--bought buy one get one free at Kroger! So whatever I can find at a good price. But it is 72% and 88% Endangered species is what I have right now, as I stocked up on that sale And it is NOT sugar free. But I use so little that it didn't matter in my P3. You could try the sugar free chocolates--I do try to use the Hershey's SF chocolate chips in my cream cheese muffins.

I was wondering where people find unsweetened coconut? I checked two stores and all they have is sweetened!

I buy mine in gallon pails from Tropical Traditions. But I also got some from the Natural foods section in Kroger. So you might have to travel to the health food store. I know in the past (I am talking like 3 yrs or longer) I would travel to Kroger just to buy their brand of unsweetened coconut--but they no longer carry their own brand. But I can buy an organic kind there now, so it is not so bad. I bought it at discount the last time I saw it in the bin. God I love my Kroger!! I also buy out all the flax meal when it is at clearance prices.
