Ok ladies, I need some serious advice. The steak day did not take care of all that woes me and I'm uncertain about what to do next. Should I do another correction day today? proceed on with P3 and see what tomorrow brings or go back to P2 for a few more days and do a better intro to P3 late next week? Just to complete the equation and maybe this is the key ?? I tried a new calorie free drink over the last 3 days. Could the sweetener be bothering me? I can't imagine it making me gain but?? it is called Cascade Ice and omg, they are really, really good. Thoughts?I'm supposed to go out for lunch today but I'm thinking of canceling. I am finding myself in a pityparty mood and could easily be talked into crappy food and too many adult beverages. |

What a MAJOR victory to be more focused on the atmosphere than the food! You have arrived!! ![]() ![]() Quote:
Earlier this summer, we were planning a trip to Fl. for the end of summer, but after what was supposed to be a busy season, and the oil spill, we made other plans. A few days ago we decided since there were no hurricanes looming and no oil, to go ahead and go. Now we have a few disturbances forming and I'm they dissipate! Quote:

TBF, Yowsa. That crust sounds so decadent! 3 cups of cheese in the crust alone?
Bet that is one tasty pie! ![]() Sassi and Mella, best of luck to you on your steak days! Enjoy! |

If it were me and I had just done a correction day, I would probably just do a high protein day and keep the carbs to a minimum. See what happens. Did the steak day help at all? Also, if you ate at a restaurant, it might have had more sodium in it than if you ate at home.

hmm, not sure what to do, but I think I remember reading not to do 2 correction days in a row, but to eat higher protein today. I'm sure one of our veterans will come in with some good advice. Just curious, did you lose anything with the steak day? Did you stay the same, gain?? Curious as I have to do a steak day today. |

Have you tried eliminating all carbs from your diet? No more fruits or colorful veggies, just for a few days. Perhaps some purely protein days? Are you getting enough water? Hot summer days we need more as we sweat on top of everything else. Any chance it's hormonal? TOM about to visit? Have you gotten a sunburn or too much sun lately? If it was me I'd do a couple days of very low CARB which were high in proteins and fats. Also if you're not regular look into upping your magnesium - it could be your big meal is sitting in your tummy. Try changing up your calorie intake, high then low. There's lots you can do, don't worry too much. You're doing fantastic, keep your eye on the goal not these minor setbacks! ![]()

I'd cancel lunch too. Just not worth the risk. Dawn gave you great advice as always, I'd do that. Don't stress about it too much, that will make it worse. (easier said than done!) You lose so easily though, you know it won't stick around. ![]() Sending you huge releasing wishes! |

I think they are made with sucralose and I've never had issues with that sweetener before. Weird. TOM still has not appeared. grrr..really sucks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today sometime. Never gain for that either normally. Definitely taking some magnesium tonight. Guess I could take some now, right? or ? |

WW. I'd probably relax and see if that helps. I haven't had to do a correction day, but when I went 2.2 over my LDW it just so happened on a road trip day so I had to bring my P3 food. I ate mostly P2 style with salsa and sour cream on my grilled meat, and I ate less than I would have *liked* to since I only had what I brought with me, and I was down the next day.

Yeah, I think I will do little protein meals today, plenty of water and have faith. Just feels so weird to have last Friday be my big LOW day and celebrating and here I am a week later up like this. Grrr. I know I'm dealing with it though and I think that is the KEY. No digging my head in the sand and continuing to gain by avoiding the scale. So, head up, canceling lunch, making some other nonfoodrelated plans and going to get dolled up and smile. I don't 'feel' like I've gained. Just the scale says so

![]() I'd take the magnesium whenever you can, provided you'll have a bathroom handy sometime ~6hrs from now. I also second what was said above about your restaurant steak last night: unfortunately you've no real idea what was in the seasoning/marinade etc they put on it. Could very easily have had sugar in it - many do and of course that'd negate some of the day's purpose. I'm sure you can get that pesky LDW+ off though, just try very low carbs/high protein/P3 the next couple of days and hopefully that'll do it for you. |
