Oh, and I can have coffee with cream on my correction day??
I have done numerous steak days. I had one where I drank 3 cups of coffee with cream in each cup. Lost great with my ribeye steak slathered with butter. Then on my next steak day I had no coffee (to see if I would lose more by cutting it out) and lost just the same. So in my little unscientific experiment I CAN have coffee with cream and do well with weight loss on a steak day.

Thanks Dawn - I thought I remembered you saying that.

The coffee is made but I haven't had any yet - off to make a cup!

Anxiously waiting for WW to check in on the results of her steak day....

Ok ladies, I need some serious advice. The steak day did not take care of all that woes me and I'm uncertain about what to do next. Should I do another correction day today? proceed on with P3 and see what tomorrow brings or go back to P2 for a few more days and do a better intro to P3 late next week? Just to complete the equation and maybe this is the key ?? I tried a new calorie free drink over the last 3 days. Could the sweetener be bothering me? I can't imagine it making me gain but?? it is called Cascade Ice and omg, they are really, really good. Thoughts?

I'm supposed to go out for lunch today but I'm thinking of canceling. I am finding myself in a pityparty mood and could easily be talked into crappy food and too many adult beverages. So, think I will cancel that and have a plan once I read your suggestions.

Be careful!! We experienced Ike. It is pretty scary.

Earlier this summer, we were planning a trip to Fl. for the end of summer, but after what was supposed to be a busy season, and the oil spill, we made other plans. A few days ago we decided since there were no hurricanes looming and no oil, to go ahead and go. Now we have a few disturbances forming and I'm they dissipate!

I prefer it with HC, but since I can't have that in P2....I got used to it this way! It has to be iced as well.

TBF, Yowsa. That crust sounds so decadent! 3 cups of cheese in the crust alone? Bet that is one tasty pie!

Sassi and Mella, best of luck to you on your steak days! Enjoy!

If it were me and I had just done a correction day, I would probably just do a high protein day and keep the carbs to a minimum. See what happens. Did the steak day help at all? Also, if you ate at a restaurant, it might have had more sodium in it than if you ate at home.

My best advice: Do another P3 day today and see where that gets you. Make sure you cut out that new drink and just concentrate on water today. There were some correction days that would release all they needed to over 2 days instead of the immediate day after. I hope you know what I mean. I did an egg day once and lost nothing, nada the next day. Very disappointing indeed. But 2 days AFTER my egg day I lost all I needed to get into my window. So I suggest seeing what today will bring and if needed another Correction day tomorrow.

hmm, not sure what to do, but I think I remember reading not to do 2 correction days in a row, but to eat higher protein today.

I'm sure one of our veterans will come in with some good advice.

Just curious, did you lose anything with the steak day? Did you stay the same, gain?? Curious as I have to do a steak day today.

Check the ingredients to the drink: if anything ends in -ose chuck the stuff. Also if it has sugar alcohols it might be stalling you.

Have you tried eliminating all carbs from your diet? No more fruits or colorful veggies, just for a few days. Perhaps some purely protein days? Are you getting enough water? Hot summer days we need more as we sweat on top of everything else.

Any chance it's hormonal? TOM about to visit? Have you gotten a sunburn or too much sun lately?

If it was me I'd do a couple days of very low CARB which were high in proteins and fats. Also if you're not regular look into upping your magnesium - it could be your big meal is sitting in your tummy. Try changing up your calorie intake, high then low.

There's lots you can do, don't worry too much. You're doing fantastic, keep your eye on the goal not these minor setbacks!

I've never had any sodium issues like many people do but yeah, probably would have been better to eat at home and KNOW exactly what went into my steak. If I do another one of the steak days in the future, I will do it at home. Thanks

Gotcha. Think I'll do a protein day for the most part and see what tomorrow brings. If it's still ugly I'll do one of the other CD options.

yeah, I think I'll do higher protein today and see what happens. I did lose .5 from yesterday but I was really hoping to be back in my window today. Oh well, I'm just going to make the best of this day. That's all I can do. I wish better results for you and Sassy. I know most people have had very successful results on the steak day. I'm a weirdo

Thanks for all the valuable tips! I am definitely chucking the new beverage find. That sucks too cos they are perfect mocktails I think they are made with sucralose and I've never had issues with that sweetener before. Weird. TOM still has not appeared. grrr..really sucks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today sometime. Never gain for that either normally. Definitely taking some magnesium tonight. Guess I could take some now, right? or ?

Thanks for the hugs! Yeah, I lose quickly so if I spend a few more days figuring this p3 out and it isn't coming together, back to P2 and a do over of P3 in a bit.

WW. I'd probably relax and see if that helps. I haven't had to do a correction day, but when I went 2.2 over my LDW it just so happened on a road trip day so I had to bring my P3 food. I ate mostly P2 style with salsa and sour cream on my grilled meat, and I ate less than I would have *liked* to since I only had what I brought with me, and I was down the next day.

Yeah, I think I will do little protein meals today, plenty of water and have faith. Just feels so weird to have last Friday be my big LOW day and celebrating and here I am a week later up like this. Grrr. I know I'm dealing with it though and I think that is the KEY. No digging my head in the sand and continuing to gain by avoiding the scale. So, head up, canceling lunch, making some other nonfoodrelated plans and going to get dolled up and smile. I don't 'feel' like I've gained. Just the scale says so

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today sometime. Never gain for that either normally. Definitely taking some magnesium tonight. Guess I could take some now, right? or ?
Maybe TOM is about to come. I bloat a week before his arrival!
I have taken magnesium in the day. Don't know if your supposed to or not, but I have a stubborn system and what ever works! I'd also drink a gallon 1/2 of water.

WW, I have found that things I was doing fine with before the hcg and weight loss has effected me so much now. When I was trying so hard to stay at my LDW of 114, any little thing would set it off. Eating out at restaurants did NOT effect me Pre-hcg. Now--cannot even go out without a gain. Biz said it was because I was so tiny that everything will have an effect, but who knows?? But if you know it, you do what you can to correct it. It may not mean doing a CD, sometimes just a few LC days and it will be down. That is what naturally skinny people do. They go out to eat one day and "make up for it" the next few days. Take my naturally skinny hubby. If he has lunch out at work (which is rare, he normally will not eat anything for lunch!) he will say to me "I have had a big lunch today and want a light dinner". That usually means just a salad. Sometimes he won't want dinner at all because he doesn't feel like it. That is how I picture maintenance. It sucks, but sometimes you figure these things out the hard way. Exactly why some say when you are done with the hcg and have no more rounds to do you might want to re-think the 2 lb window/limit. Some stabilize and are quite happy with 5 lbs leeway, some not. Something to think about and digest when you are done with the hcg. You will figure it out, just give yourself some time to think about it.

lol Well I take back a teensy bit of what I said, sucralose isn't technically a sugar but a sugar derivative. Could be something else that's been getting to you with those drinks though so maybe hold off on them until P4?

I'd take the magnesium whenever you can, provided you'll have a bathroom handy sometime ~6hrs from now. Can't hurt to take a magnesium now and another later too, but careful not to take well past the recommended dosage.

I also second what was said above about your restaurant steak last night: unfortunately you've no real idea what was in the seasoning/marinade etc they put on it. Could very easily have had sugar in it - many do and of course that'd negate some of the day's purpose. I'm sure you can get that pesky LDW+ off though, just try very low carbs/high protein/P3 the next couple of days and hopefully that'll do it for you.

Oh, I didn't even think about TOM. He is evil!!!

Oh, and on the magnesium, Lindy takes hers at work and that is during the day. So I say whenever you can remember to take it--TAKE IT!!!
