Wondering...anyone NOT have much digestive trouble adding fat in P3? I've never used probiotics and don't think I will unless I run into problems. I've never had digestive issues, so I'm hoping I won't need them. Plus, I'm a lifetime member of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" club.
Sweetie,

I was a 4 TBL per day of coconut oil eater before I started round 1 of hcg. I thought I had it going on!! Never thought I would have any problems my first day of P3. But noooo, I was not happy. I spent more time in the restroom than I wanted. If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. But it won't happen to us all. So no worries. Remember though, that your body has NOT had to process that fat in your food since at least 21 days ago. It will take a while to bring those organs back to speed. You can do without the probiotics but know that the uncomfortableness can last for 2-3 days of your P3!!

Tea

Deb

I saw a post where you scanned in examples of teas. I can't find it would you mind doing it again? Pretty please. I am especially interested in the chocolate mate tea. Is it ok in P2? I found on on amazon that has cocoa, spices and stevia in it. I might be able to drink something like that. I don't like the regular mate tea.

Thanks so much,
Mary

I simply added cocoa to my regular mate, and it turned out great! Masks the 'ashtray' flavor when you are drinking it full strength.

Didn't realize before this that full strength was 1/2 cup of leaves.

I used to drink about a teaspoon of leaves when I brewed.

WOE: VSG 75 lbs. down and expecting baby 6/2013! :)
Good morning ladies! Welcome to the newbies and a big CONGRATS to all the releasers!

I am thrilled to be down 3.4 lbs. overnight, and am now only .2 above my range! YAY!!!

I had planned an egg day yesterday which went fine until suppertime when we had my kids orientation in the next town. So, instead of eggs I had a small handful of mac nuts and 1/4 grapefruit on the way down, then when I got home I had a bowl of sliced organic strawberries with 0% fat greek yogurt and vanilla stevia. It was yummy!

I honestly did not think I would be down this much, what a fantastic surprise! Today I am going to be super good, and keep the menu similar to yesterday so I can hopefully get back down to LDW for good!

Stabilizing has been great for me. I go up, but I always come back down. I never 'added' fruit back in - I never stopped it in the first place from eating it on P2. I eat not only the fruit I ate on P2, but other berries, melon, etc. There is a list of things to avoid in the P3 thread by crazymama:

And fruits to be careful about or avoid in P3
Fruits fairly high in sugar:
* Grapes
* Tangerine
* Oranges
* Pineapple
* Kiwi

Fruits to be avoided in the maintenance phase:
* Bananas
* Dried Fruit
* Mango

The hunger should be going away. I am not doing the drops, so I don't know how the dosaging goes, but for me...around VLCD7 I was ravenous. I had to *drop* my dosage (subq) from 175 iu to 150 iu and that has worked well since then...no hunger...not even at normal times like right before meals.

I would give it another day and you might have to adjust your dosage.

While in P2 I use cocoa as a spice! So it is allowed. I use it in my coffee every day, even while in P2!

1400 doesn't even come close!

Oh this is heaven to this Italian girl that loves to eat

So if I understand correctly we don't want too much exercise in P3 because we want our weight to stabilize without depending on alot of extra activity? I wanted to get back to my hot yoga classes, but they are 90 minutes long and can burn over 1000 calories per class. I'm thinking it might be best to stay away while in P3???

My advice: Stay away!! Far away You seriously don't want your body dependent on the exercise to stay at your LDW. I just stuck to my 20 min lazy stroll with the dog while in P3. That is what I did in P2 also.

Thanks Dawn, I think I'll just stick to short walks as well. I definitely don't want to jeopardize my being able to eat lots of calories!!

Welcome Meek!

This thread is so long and I forget who posted about their hugh inch loss (I need to make notes!) but congrats!!!

This morning I was very happy to see a 1.4 lb. loss on the scale. That's 9 lbs. for me from my pre-load weight and I'm on VLCD14 today.

I have a confession to make. I've been struggling with hunger and the other HCG site I go to really recommends using the miracle noodles, so I decided to try them to see if they would help. They have, and I've been losing (3.4 lbs. over the last 2 days). I know everyone is different but wanted to let you all know the results of my experiment. Oh, and I've given up the grissini since I've added in the noodles.

Funny story: last night I made my dinner: garlic & celery braised in bragg's aminos + some chicken broth & water, some cayenne pepper, added my chicken, a bag of the noodles and some chopped cilantro. It's kind of like a chicken chow mein. My boyfriend wanted to try it and when he grabbed a forkful he got a piece of my chicken. I made him put it back!! I told him sorry, I only get 3.5 oz. I can't afford to give any up!!

BTW - my bofriend is a chef and he really liked the dish and wants me to make it for him

Off to get some work done. Happy releasing everyone!

BUT in P3, they are too high in sugar to be included on the "Safe list". I personally would avoid while on P3, as I never even had one in P2! But YMMV.

Nope, not a bad sign at all! I am only down .2lb this morning after my first day without hcg. My problem is today I am starving!!! Drinking lots of hot tea and water! I will get through this!

You are gonna think I'm weird, but I feel this odd 'hum' going on in my body, almost like I can feel the fat leaving my body. I could feel it all throughout the night last night when I was in bed. I woke up at 2:30am to pee (OMG, have I been peeing) and I couldn't get back to sleep for a while, but I felt this weird energy in my body. Am I nuts?
Woo Hoo Cheryl! Losing 2.6lb of the 2.8lbs that you loaded is great! And no we don't think you are nuts! KUTGW!

Woo Hoo Sassy! WTG on wiggle room for P3! As far as P3, you just adjust your calories up/down until you are stable. For me during P3, I have to eat between 3000 and 3500 calories.

(I made a 5 egg omlete and split it w/ my daughter.. that is how I got 1/2 an egg)

Now that I got my menu set for today I am afraid I am adding in too much too fast. Hopefully I don't gain.
Probiotics help the tummy digest the fats that you are adding in during P3.

I bought a Tanita about 6 years ago for $100 and all I get is the .2 increments and the body fat%. I noticed that the newer version of my model now does water%, but it is still $100. I've been thinking of buying a newer one ( I would like to see the water% because then you really would know if your weight bounces upward if you are retaining extra water), but wasn't keen on spending that much money again.
I think it is accurate. It did weigh different than my old scale (weighed me about 2lb lighter) but it is much closer to my doctor's scale than my old one was.
