Angeleyes - Sounds like life is about to get really hectic and stressful. He is lucky to have you as a wife to take care of all the details!

I know how hard it is to pack healthy lunches. I have to do that for the four of us with football practice nearly every night. It's hard and stressful.

Could you make double at night and use the leftovers for lunch the following day? Another thing that helps me is cooking a weeks worth of meat on the weekend and freezing them in portion sizes. Then just grabbing the extras from the fridge which are usually also in portion size bags.

I just found out my grocery store delivers. I don't know how expensive it is, but if he's too busy and you can't. Maybe that is an option?

That casserole sounds yummy! I sure am looking forward to P3. Hope you stabilize easily.......

Yikes. Were you doing prescription hcg or homeopathic? If homeopathic I'd do a few more days til TOM is gone......not sure about if prescription since the immunity issue? Maybe someone else will pipe up. TOM ruins everything!

Bet its just retention from the out to eat & massage. Was the tea decaf? I'd always read that acts same as water......here's to great release for you tomorrow!

I can imagine that would be hard and give the guilt but sometimes Mom just has to put herself first so I'm glad that you did! I'm betting they all ate a bit healthier being at home too and hey saves $$ and soon enough you'll be in P3 and can all go again! You being healthier will make it easier to take care of them too so its for all of you !

Yikes packing for four? I can't imagine that! Life is getting more stressful for him for sure but hey at least he isn't working other than insurance sales which are just here and there by referral and internet.....its actually been quite stressful around here for years since he lost his job.....at least there is light at the end of the tunnel in about 20 more months

I do make doubles on things and freeze things but he's so picky and we rarely eat the same dinner......but definitely going to make some things up that he likes and will eat (wearing gloves) so he'll have more options!

Wow, grocery store delivery! That would be awesome but I'm guessing on mainly one income (and my being FMLA right now) that isn't an option for us but thanks so much for all of your suggestions!!

I hope that your pain keeps mitigating and I will pass on the info to my mom, thanks!
Savbaby: Oops, my mistake. I didn't realize your mom is also on the HCG protocol. Certainly didn't want to throw a monkey-wrench that will mess her up!

Angeleyes: I buy the Blue Emu at Walmart, white 4 oz. jar with a dark blue label with print in dark blue and some red. The front doesn't list the brand. It just says "Original BLU-EMU Super Strength." The tiny print below it (in red) says "Emu Oil, Aloe, and MSM". The back says in tiny print, "Exclusively manufactured for NFI Consumer Products." Underneath all the ingredients listed it also has printed in white in slightly larger print, "Contains 7% Pure Emu Oil." It's about $14.00 at Walmart (went up $1 in price).

As I said, I'm on shaky ground with this one; don't know if it can be used while on the HCG intake...

Hello, girls! I am so very tired today (VLCD2) but my mood is quite 'chipper' and the pain is better. Not perfect, not gone, but 'something' is relieved. I walked up the stairs just fine last night.

This morning, my first loss was 2.8 lbs.

Is that good for the first loss?

We went out for a little while, nothing strenous (2 hr. round-trip drive to church, plus the hour at church) and when we came home...I was totally beat, nodding off at the kitchen table while talking with the dh and kids. I had to go to bed at 5:30 p.m. and could not keep my eyes open. Now is that also normal when first starting this protocol?

So sorry for bugging with questions...and, promise, I will be able to be a better participant when this exhaustion passes.

Btw, about lemon water: At the minimum, it's the juice of 1/2 fresh lemon (first thing in the morning)...add it to about 10-12 oz. of hot water, and it should taste only like hot lemonade. If you need to add stevia, it's either because the lemon is too bitter (even if newly bought; you can tell by the navel - if it's "bumped out" like an inside-out belly button, it was picked too soon; a good lemon has a 'starburst" on its end, not a bump) OR because not enough water was added.

Just trying to help!

Did you get TOM during your P2 or just now when you stopped dosing? I am so late it's making me crazy and am hopeful it will show up when I leave P2 but figure I'll time it just right if that's what it is gonna take to show up Not fond of TOM but also not fond of not having either
I think you'll probably be fine staying on P3 but hopefully one of our experienced members will chime in with some advice for you I haven't seen anything on the things that are your concerns in my reading around the net but if I was going to have cravings I'd rather have them on 3 than on 2 Just hope it doesn't impact stabilizing as I suspect that going off the drops is what is gonna have to happen for my cycle to show up

I have my groceries delivered all the time. Since I live in the Seattle area, I use amazonfresh.com. After a certain amount spent each month, I think $300, my deliveries are free. Prices aren't too bad either, and if I do automatic deliveries for staples, it's 10 percent off. I have three teenagers, so spending $300 on food is easy. So it's always free delivery. The only downside is you really have to double check your entries before you hit "send". This morning I got 12 jars of pickles.

I will have to send some back.

I may have to look into that. We spend so much on groceries. I hope mine offers the delivery deal too!

Anyway, I take mag, potassium, B-complex and B-12 solgar sublingual. I buy all of them at iherb. I was taking more than those but the ingredients are iffy for P2 so I stopped until P4......not sure if you need more or not but maybe you could find some at the health food store and try? Sure hope you feel better and the scale moves down for you tomorrow!
awww thank you! I take B-Complex already. Mag I don't take. I was thinking about taking it, but I don't react well to alot of different pills. For some reason my body is just sensitive to things and there's alot of vitamins I cannot take. Like, I can't take a regular multi-vitamin....I get so sick! Even eating with it. Weird, I know.

Okay, bear with me....I just had a scary thought.

I'm still amazed that I have been able to lose this much weight in just a few weeks with all my difficulties in the past. Being that I'm closer to P3/4, I started thinking......
What if my hypothalamus doesn't reset and as soon as I start to eat normally I gain?? I'm not talking carbs, sugars and starches, just clean eating.

A few yrs ago, I took Phentermine, lost all the weight and because of my thyroid, gained it all back despite my clean eating. I'm just worried that could happen again.

Have people with hypothyroidism experienced success in keeping the weight off?

I guess this still seems too good to be true and I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Oh, what a drag! have you tried other soup type dishes? I'm thinking of making a P2 friendly avgalemono soup with spinach and meringue cookies next week I was going to make it this week but I got paranoid about eggs so tossed all the eggs I had out. If it turns out yummy I will post it for others to try.

Spring cleaning I love it! That's a riot

I made my dd's frozen meals tonight. Here's what I made my little darling. BTW, she's recipricating by providing me with personal shopper skills. She's done this for me before and it's so fun. I give her a debit card with a set amount on it to use. She picks out clothes, shoes, accessories and brings them to my house for me. It's great because she picks out things I wouldn't necessarily pick for myself but they usually turn out to be really fab outfits Have to give her my new sizes

So, here's her meals:
4 frozen chili meals
4 steaks in marinade grilled with grilled asparagus
Grilled shrimp kebabs 2 dill/lemon seasoning, 2 cajun seasoning, spinach
2 lobster tails grilled with grilled asparagus
4 chicken breasts in the ginger marinade, spinach
2 corned beef with steamed cabbage
10 containers of sliced frozen gala apples
10 containers of sliced frozen strawberries

I've warned her the corned beef might be iffy but I checked the nutritional info thoroughly and no sugars, starches so?? and it is beef So, she's got 20 meals and should be in good shape to stay on plan. I made her some icecubes with lemon slices in them, put together a container of condiments (lemon juice packets, salt, pepper, hot sauce) and got her 3 cases of water. So, she's set and had best plan on spending plenty of time researchng my new wardrobe So, I guess we're both spoiled I made her dbf some meals too but nothing anyone here wants to read about
You are a real sweetie your attitude and I believe your daughter is following in your foot steps also ! What a win win game you girls have going there . I thought I was spoiling my DD getting her started on HHCG and cooking for her( I am getting her wardrobe that became too big for her so fast ) , but you took it to another lever. Yes I am interested in DBF meals also, it's fun to hear your yummy ideas !

Oh I tried your Marinade Recipe and it my new favorite!
Thanks so much

Oops! I drank lots of diluted green tea w/ ACV, but only a little water. Does it have to be pure water, does tea count toward water intake?

Awesome loss!! You are one day ahead of me, so I'll be watching you (in a good way)

I will be waiting to here some experts response to this. I get a bit scared about that too. Just going on faith right now!

Going to bed early. Can't wait to get up and weigh!!! See you in the morning.

1 1/2 or 2 tsp cocoa
5-10 drops of Vanilla Flavored Stevia (Sweet Leaf Brand, the others can be bitter)
1 TBS Milk

It's REALLY tasty and makes me feel like I'm cheating. It curbs my hunger and though I haven't really had any sugar cravings, it does help with the emotional "wants'.
That sounds super yummy! I think I`ll make that tomorrow morning for breakfast. I too miss cream in my coffee.

Looks like Chili is off the menu for a few of use. Which really sucks cause it was Sooo Good. For some reason I knew it was to good to be true while I was eatting it...lol I envy the ladies that release while eatting it.

Making it with steak of turkey burger sounds tempting...Hmmmm..but at this point I'm too scared of it.

Happy to announce that I am finally able to get off the 'stall wagon' and join you releasers again. Feels good to be back. Down 1.4 today..191.1
WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! WTG

Sure glad you guys said something...cuz my favorite nuts are Barbo's low carb CANDIED NUTS!!!! I buy the cheap bags of walnuts and pecans from the Dollar Store and make these. WE LOVE THEM!!!!!

JAN
NO peanuts on P3. Everything else is YMMV!!!! The best nuts to use on P3 are macadamias and walnuts. But as everything on this plan......try it to see how you do. I know that peanuts and cashews are out though, at least til P4!!

I don't know about the thyroid response, but I can tell you I'm afraid of when it's time to move on to P3. I'm afraid now that I'll gain if I eat more than 500 cals. in a day. I'll just have to see what happens.

We also went out to eat too... ( I know eek!) We ended up going to ruby tuesday and they made creole whitefish and sirloin without butter and oil for us, and steamed some broccoli, also without the normal butter and oil. We portioned it up and boxed the rest for another meal. I guess I'll find out tomorrow how much it affects me! I'm crossing my fingers for no gain! Good luck to all you out there! I measure tomorrow and see if I've shrunk any! Here's hoping
Woo Hoo! WTG on the 3.6lb release! KUTGW!

I explained that I know we should NOT tweak, but I did think that an interesting question...theoretically. I think I'm interested since the book says the 500 cals work for everybody, regardless of starting wt., work, exercise...but have you found that protein intake of 7 oz. per day enough to keep you feeling fine? I am not referring only to hunger, but to energy levels and strength.
1) We are suppose to maintain during P3/P4. Inches usually change simply because fat is still redistributing. You are resetting your hypothalimus during P3 and don't want to continue losing. Stablizing is the most important thing during P3!

2) I don't know anything about Stillmans but you don't want to mess with the protocol! 7oz of meat is right on the edge of protein deficiency, so some people feel weaker at this level. You need the veggies to give you the vitamins that you need! Losing fat does release vitamins but they are the fat soluble vitamins.

VLCD22: Down 1.0 lbs 24.6 lbs (pre-load) and 27.0 lbs (post-load)

So....the 2 gas station hotdogs I had at the flying j truck stop for breakfast yesterday (no bun of course) must have been the trick
And when we got home...I had an oopsie sandwich and 2 lo carb blueberry muffins that I had in the freezer.

Thursday woud be day 21 of this round for P3. I am definately going to do a P4 round...(although, I have had some P4 food items this round, like nuts). My dh and I are still going to take some more time off to go camping and motorcycling befor the snow flies. AND it is definately easier to do those rounds when doing those "things" than it is to do P2.

Hope everyone has great releases today!!!

JAN
Woo Hoo Jan! You have had a wonderful P3 and stablized beautifully! KUTGW and enjoy P4!

R1P2VLCD7 and I'm down another 0.6 pounds today. I may just make my second meal a shake since that seems to work best for me.
Woo Hoo Cheryl! A .6lb release is great! KUTGW!

Another meal I can't wait to try. I think I will add the spinach "chips" to it (not directly IN the shake, but as a side)

You have done so great! I hope at my VLCD22 (seems so far away right now) I will be pondering the same thing!

Why are nuts P4? Seems as if they would fit in the P3 category (no starch or sugar). I know peanuts do not fit in P3, but I was so looking forward to my beloved sunflower seeds in P3.

Thanks for the chili tip! Nice job taking off the loading weight + I think I am a couple of days behind you so we'll be going through the VLCDs together!

So today starts my R1P2VLCD1. I sit with my black coffee. I can do ANYTHING for 23 days! My new mantra.

So many P2 meals I have wanted to try so I'm not sure what my menu will be. I already had DH grill up a couple of chic breasts. I think I will have an apple/melba toast before church. Going to go check out the P2 menu thread then decide the rest of the day.

Best releases to all!!
1) Don't drop the chili until you try it! You may do fine on it. I do! It's is one of my favorite meals on P2!

2) Don't restrict P2 any more than it already is unless you find that something stalls you! We are all different and react to foods differently. Some have found that in one round they can eat the chili and in another round it stalls them.

3) Nuts are allowed in P3! Peanuts should be avoided during P3 because of their starch content. They are actually a legume, not a nut.

4) You have a great attitude! Just remember - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" - Philippians 4:13

Hoping my body catches up quickly and I start inching back down tomorrow! I'm still a teeny tiny bit above average so while I wanted my average to be much more, I'll take it

Today was supposed to be a lazy day to lounge with hubby and watch movies. He heads back to school tomorrow, full time with a crazy busy load so it was the last opportunity for it for a long time without him studying during......instead he just headed to the store for the second time (we don't live close to anything) to get more parts for a busted pipe that he will be fixing today.......I'm disappointed and he's very ornry.......not the day either of us had hoped for
Hang in there! We get so used to seeing a loss on the scale everyday that it is hard when we see nothing or even a gain. Water, water, water is the name of the game. Those pesky fat cells are hanging on for dear life! Did you know that our fat cells fill up with water when we lose the fat out of them and then when the body decide that we don't need them anymore it drains out the water and they collaspe?

Also, sorry that your Sunday didn't go like you expected!

It's starting to take a toll on the family. It would be nice to just go to a restaurant and order a salad. They refuse to eat out in front of me and it stinks to not eat together as a family. Can't wait for P3!
Woo Hoo! Welcome to a new decade!

I'm down .5 today for 24.5 loss in 33 vlcds:Clap: I'll take it! Half a pound away from my goal weight I'm still bouncing around the idea of doing another round of P2 after I complete P3(still haven't decided when to start that!). Anyway, I have question regarding interruptions. If I want to do an interruption, do I still do the two days of no dosing, 500 cals then do the interruption? or just jump on in without the two days? curious. I'm considering an interruption for a week or so, then back to P2 to kick a few more to the curb before doing a final P3 and then P4. Thanks for any help. Hope everyone has a fabulous day!
Woo Hoo WW! You are doing so great! KUTGW!

As far as an interruption goes, you do the 2 days on the VLCD without the HCG, then you can do anywhere from 1 - 20 days of P3 style eating as your interruption. If you do an interruption of less than 14 days, you start the drops and the VLCD at the same time. 14 days - 20 days, you start the drops and eat normal P3 for the first 2 days and anything over 21 days isn't an interruption. You would load for 2 days because you would be starting a new round. HTH!
