Hope Bernice visits soon for you! I take 800mg Magnesium Citrate a day and at least for P2 I'm ok each day. If you don't enjoy steak day can you do one of the other correction days I've read about (I know they aren't in P&I) but seem to work for others if you have a hard time waiting til dinner to eat? I can't find the link right now but some do 12 eggs, some do chicken (cooking your own whole, start with eating legs with skin, etc and last if hungry at night eat breast in plain salad), others do just protein day and have plain burgers and you don't have to wait til dinner........I'm sure I'll have to try all of them at some point but since I've done IF it won't bother me to wait and well, if hubby does the steak on the grill then I'm golden!

For some people of my acquaintance, it works within a few hours. At the most, 24 hours. (I've passed this tip onto family and friends and that is how I get varying reports.)

Btw, if you don't have a gallbladder, it might work pretty fast....but it also depends on how long your pipes have been clogged. Hot lemon water also brings down high glucose levels (my mom is diabetic and we've used it quite a few times with excellent results).
Great info, Divine!

Sorry, Kandi, just saw your other question - what is it about hot water and lemon juice that makes you go?

From what I understand, lemon becomes an alkaline, which pulls extra water from the body tissues and into the intestines. When my mom's blood bun/creatnine and ammonia levels went way too high (just days after leaving the hospital), they wanted her back in. We asked the doctor for a chance to try something natural...within 2 days, all levels were normal, she was again using the bathroom, her glucose went down to normal, and her potassium (which had drasticaly dropped) went right back up to normal, too. The doctor was amazed.

Btw, I have a post from someone else on my blog (on hot lemon water)...it is also mentioned in the book, "Back to Eden" by Jethro Koss. I found everything he says about it to be true. Unfortunately, I don't drink it as often as I should of late, because it also helps control arthritis pain. (I know...I didn't believe it either, until I tried it and used it zealously.)

What brand do you use? My sister and I both have fibro and I'd love to try this. I googled it but wow, so many choiced with so many ingredients that I'm not sure which to pick. Hope your arthritic pain is better tomorrow!

Very filling. I have the tomato as my *fruit* (read about it here and a yahoo forum) and then skip my fruit that day.

Have no idea if it is the HHCG, but I notice that some of my arthritis pain is mitigating...and it's been raining here the past 2 days! (Rain always means pain.)
Yes, my mom has fybro and does all that good stuff you were talking about- switched all her personal products and such to not affect the fybro protocol. She seems to think the HCG helps lubricate our joints, like it does in pregnant women- and so helps the pain of fybro patients. I hope that your pain keeps mitigating and I will pass on the info to my mom, thanks!

We also went out to eat too... ( I know eek!) We ended up going to ruby tuesday and they made creole whitefish and sirloin without butter and oil for us, and steamed some broccoli, also without the normal butter and oil. We portioned it up and boxed the rest for another meal. I guess I'll find out tomorrow how much it affects me! I'm crossing my fingers for no gain! Good luck to all you out there! I measure tomorrow and see if I've shrunk any! Here's hoping

It wasn't too hard, but I did start to get hungry about 9 p.m. Drinking lots of fluids! Peeked at the scale (yep, I know all about scale tricks and how we shoudln't weigh at night)...but it says 2 lbs. down already. Can't wait until tomorrow morning!
Woohoo! Can't wait to read your results tomorrow

What is it about hot water and lemon that makes you "go"?
I completely missed the over 2 lbs deal too! Great to know! I had 2 lbs on the brain.period. As for the water/lemon deal, I have no idea other than that it works and for me, it works pretty much immediately. Like within 15 minutes or so? I sort of chugalug it and I use a lemon or the lemon in the plastic thingy and both work equally well for me. To be honest I'm not sure how much of the lemon in the container I use. I just sorta squirt a nice amount in the cup and its fine. Probably 2 tbls? or so? YMMV.

Oh, what a drag! have you tried other soup type dishes? I'm thinking of making a P2 friendly avgalemono soup with spinach and meringue cookies next week I was going to make it this week but I got paranoid about eggs so tossed all the eggs I had out. If it turns out yummy I will post it for others to try.

Spring cleaning I love it! That's a riot

I made my dd's frozen meals tonight. Here's what I made my little darling. BTW, she's recipricating by providing me with personal shopper skills. She's done this for me before and it's so fun. I give her a debit card with a set amount on it to use. She picks out clothes, shoes, accessories and brings them to my house for me. It's great because she picks out things I wouldn't necessarily pick for myself but they usually turn out to be really fab outfits Have to give her my new sizes

So, here's her meals:
4 frozen chili meals
4 steaks in marinade grilled with grilled asparagus
Grilled shrimp kebabs 2 dill/lemon seasoning, 2 cajun seasoning, spinach
2 lobster tails grilled with grilled asparagus
4 chicken breasts in the ginger marinade, spinach
2 corned beef with steamed cabbage
10 containers of sliced frozen gala apples
10 containers of sliced frozen strawberries

I've warned her the corned beef might be iffy but I checked the nutritional info thoroughly and no sugars, starches so?? and it is beef So, she's got 20 meals and should be in good shape to stay on plan. I made her some icecubes with lemon slices in them, put together a container of condiments (lemon juice packets, salt, pepper, hot sauce) and got her 3 cases of water. So, she's set and had best plan on spending plenty of time researchng my new wardrobe So, I guess we're both spoiled I made her dbf some meals too but nothing anyone here wants to read about

Yep. I've been slicing an apple every morning super thin and then freezing. Omg, the BEST! Plus, it takes longer to eat them. Some varieties do not freeze as well as others. The gala work fine for me and I've used red but they start to yellow so I did the gala for my dd's packages.

OK, I guess I am going to do an injection today. I lost 1.0 lbs! This is just crazy!! I think I am going to go day to day and just stick to my plan of calling LIW when I lose less than 0.5. As much as I want to move on to the P3 foods...I can't stop when I am losing a lb or nearly a lb a day!

VLCD22: Down 1.0 lbs 24.6 lbs (pre-load) and 27.0 lbs (post-load)

Lorrie

I'm glad you are seeing a loss to make u feel better. I don't think chili is going to be my friend either. Only lost .2 after eating it and I am all puffy. Darn. It was so good. I made a big batch of it, too. Into the freezer it will go for now.

Raw tomato didn't seem to bother me either. I have had it everyday since starting hcg. It might be the salt and the fact that there is quite a bit of tomato in a can of the diced tomato. We might get more than if we were just eating sliced tomato. Am going to stay away from even the raw for a few days.

MaryN...I used fresh tomatoes in mines but I think you have something there it could be all the foods together, the salt and spices. But am going to do the same no chilli for me either.

WOE: low carb my weigh
Back from vacation and all is well
Started vaca "under" the 2 pound below leeway...had to try to "gain" what a drag, huh!!!
This morning I was 180.2 That's .4 above my LDW. Yesterday morning in the motel I was exactly at my LDW of 178.8
So....the 2 gas station hotdogs I had at the flying j truck stop for breakfast yesterday (no bun of course) must have been the trick
And when we got home...I had an oopsie sandwich and 2 lo carb blueberry muffins that I had in the freezer.

Thursday woud be day 21 of this round for P3. I am definately going to do a P4 round...(although, I have had some P4 food items this round, like nuts). My dh and I are still going to take some more time off to go camping and motorcycling befor the snow flies. AND it is definately easier to do those rounds when doing those "things" than it is to do P2.

Hope everyone has great releases today!!!

JAN
