Wow !!! Holy Toe-lito....This mornings weigh was 195.7 =5.5 lose in one day !

I had to step on the scale 3x's to believe it. Guessing the preload weight is easier to release than I thought. Still have to get to the REAL fat. But I'm happy and will take it cause I thought at 1 pound a day it would take me 5 days to loose it.

My roomie is Very sick from her detox..poor thing. In a full fledge flu. Hopefully it will be gone for her 2morrow.

Now, time to read everyones post...excited!

I feel like this today too. Weird because this is VLCD1. Is that because of the HCG? My throat feels really swollen and my glands are swollen.

I just took an epsom salt bath and hope that helps get the crud outta my system. I was hoping since I was doing LC before this, I wouldn't go through this, but I guess I wasn't so lucky.

At least I have company!

I'm a little hungry too, but nothing I can't manage. The P2 chili for lunch was yummy!

You girls are doing great! Keep up the awesome work. It will get easier, I promise.

Also, I STRONGLY suggest you not get too hung up on the scale. If you haven't already, please read P&I because it will explain why you shouldn't get hung up on the scale numbers. I think it's better to go with how you feel after a week.. how your clothes fit after 2 weeks.. how much more energy we are going to have after 3 weeks etc.

The scale is a nice mental treat when it's being kind but when it's not, I've told myself I will not stress or worry about it. It will all come off in the end and that's all that matters.

I had a gain of a pound yesterday but today I had a loss of 1.8 so it corrected itself and thankfully I didn't let that 1 pound get to me yesterday or today could have been a gain too from the stress of it all.

Anyhow, keep up the great work and just focus your energy on eating per protocol, drinking your water and relaxing as much as you can. It's only a month, right? We can do anything for a month

Lorrie, I purposely have a hungry meal and a light meal each day. On my hungry meal I add a more bulky veggie. The chili is a fave of mine recently because with a whole can of fireroasted tomatoes, the ground beef and a sliced apple it takes a looooong time to eat and is so, so satisfying. You might consider adding that to your menus. In my first week I did cabbage too in a boatload amount and cucumbers...omg. A large cucumber makes a HUGE side dish. I just let mine soak in vinegar overnight. It might not be the tastiest thing but it is filling and when I'm hungry it does the trick. Takes a long time to eat too. Also, I freeze my fruit and it makes it last longer as well. Just thought I'd pass on a few things I've found that work for me. YMMV.

A Whole Can Of Sumthing..Yipeee Now that gets my attention. Going to check out the chili recipe NOW.

I think LaLa and I are are a bit confused on the vegie amounts.
Yesterday and today we ate 6 slim steamed asperagas's with our meals. Could we have had more?

We also have Cucumber, tomatoes and cabbage in the fridge. How much of those are allowed. A handful is hard to guess..

Here's how I figure out how much of the veggies I can have. BTW, I believe that the handful applies only to the strawberries he references in the protocol. Anyway, I use ****** and enter my proteins and fruits for the day and see where my calories are at. Then I determine which veggies to have and enter the amounts and see if I'm within my 500 cals. As long as I do not exceed my 500 cals I'm golden. I believe that is how most people do it. I don't eat excessively but I do not scrimp either. An extra cup of spinach is like 8 calories or something and if visually it is appealing, I'm having it!
I use a whole can of the fireroasted tomatoes in my chili. Most people don't but I do and have not had any issues with that portion size. Again, I enter it in ****** and as long as I'm within my cals, no worries. I slice and dice a whole cuke at a time and eat it all if I want or whatever amount I feel like at the time. Again, entering it in ****** lets me know what my choices will be. I hope this is helpful to you.

lala, did you create a free acct? I use the info from my packaging and create custom foods. Then you can have them accessible and you know it is reflective of what brand you're having, etc. It's easy once you get the hang of it and I put my menus in super fast now. i like the weight charts too. Very cool. And the goals are fun to see your progress. let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help. You'll be glad you have the info handy. It's great feedback. I went back to look at my first menus and so forth and it's really nice to have the history and see what my losses were and stuff.

Hey ladies. Wishing you well on your journey. It does get easier. I am on day 8 now and I can say I never measure my veggies unless I use a can of tomatoes (make sure it is only tomatoes and nothing else in it). Otherwise I make a huge serving of cabbage or have a whole cucumber sliced up and let it marinate in vinegar, dill and salt. I think it is delicious. I have been losing steady and down 13 pounds or so.

Chicken is great stirfried with a bunch of cabbage and whatever seasoning and/or hcg friendly sauces. You can make a soup with it too using some chicken broth (just read the labels of any products you purchase to watch for sugars).
