Less saggy skin on HCG???

So those of you that have lost a good amount of weight- how are the bat wings and the hanging tummy fat? Is the body resculpting part true? I didnt see where anyone had commented on this, if I missed it I am sorry.

I have 100 more lbs to lose (lost 50 some on LC) so I am hoping this will leave me in better shape skinwise than LC will.

Hi sunnygreen,

I'm not sure how much my experience will help you, but here goes.
I am on day 14 of HCG and have lost 7 lbs, which is not a lot but that is all I needed to lose. I lost the weight a few months ago by eating about 700 calories a day and high protein (but not on HCG)... I looked 'deflated'- my butt was hanging and I felt 'skinny fat'. Just couldn't see any muscle, because I probably lost some. After that, I started heavy weight training, then slipped on the eating and gained most of that weight back.
Now I'm back to the low weight, and in spite of only exercising mildly a couple days a week, I look toned and I can see my muscles- no flabby feeling.

Hope that helps a bit, and that more people chime in because it's a great question. Wishing you success on the program (if you decide to do it.)

Thanks Salamander and Deb!

Pannus isnt that a lovely word! I guess it deserves a bad sounding name. Its the single worse thing about my body. In fact one time years ago my husband grabbed my stomach up and said- if we could just cut this off you'd be OK!

LC helped with my chins but my arms and hanging tummy are my biggest disgrace.

My drops came an hour ago so I'm on my way!

Wow, you two are quick!

Yes, took my drops and ran out for Fatburger and a shake. Had a real coke too. Figured since I cant have soda after Monday I'd have "The Real Thing" and it was good! Wish I had gotten a bigger one. When I'm skinny I'm gonna have a real Coke once a month.

Its had to let go and eat this stuff isn't it?

I'm trying not to think about what I'll gain, just about what I'll lose after.

I think a lot of the skin issues have to do with age and your genes. I'm sure this will help some... but we are what we are. I lost 112 lbs a few years ago and even when I got to goal the tummy flap and upper thighs had lose skin... still there 5 years later. I'm in my mid 40's and glad it's not worse although I wouls LOVE a timmu tuck!

Is loading necessary?

Do you actually have to load up on fat and calories before you start HcG or can you just eat normally, and still have it effective? I'm new to this but am thinking about this after I go off of Stillman's.

Sunny you sound so much like me.. I'm going to enjoy watching your journey

As for the skin - I cannot answer on a personal level because I'm only on day 13 and I need to lose well over 100+ pounds BUT before starting this protocol, I did a lot of research and I'm someone who has to see pictures of people who have had success in order for my head to wrap around what it might do for me. Anyhow, almost all of the people I saw - who started out very heavy - came out the other side with a lot less hanging skin than those who did other diet plans. There was one girl who lost over 100 lbs on HCG and her stomach only had a slight amount of wrinkled looking fat around her belly button but NOTHING was sagging. She was clearly a bit younger than I am (I'm 39 and she looked like she may have been in her early 30's at the most) but I've been looking at other success photos and while there has been some sagging it's not anywhere near what others have after losing so much weight. I expect to have sagging skin but I have a feeling, I'm going to be very surprised when this is all said and done

Anythingwilldo - Yes, you do. There is a reason for everything on this protocol and if you want it to work and stick, I would strongly suggest you read Pounds & Inches and stick to the protocol - otherwise you risk it all being for nothing when you get to P3 and can't stablize. From what I understand, if you do not load up - you will be very sick for at least the first week and maybe longer. Just enjoy the things you won't be able to have for at least 2 months and try to squeeze in as much cheese, cream, milk, nuts, avocados.. good fat.. as well as having the things you tend to crave, tell yourself you're going to enjoy them for these 2 days but then that's it.. 2-3 months of NONE of that stuff and then if you need to do another round you can look forward to them again on your next loading days.

Lorrie.. don't worry, I didn't eat a whole lot of good fat either but I will the next time. I tried to be sure I squeezed in a yummy cheesecake, made some delicious guacamole and had sour cream and cheese on my tacos, butter on my biscuits, fattier cuts of beef, bacon, butter croissants, milk with my donuts.. but other than that - I didn't have a lot of good fat. If you can try to get some in, it will help you in the long run.

Just a heads up - even though you are eating all of this stuff, don't be surprised if you still have a headache for the first few VLC days and maybe have some hunger pangs - they will go away so hang tight and take something for the headache if you do have it. No need to suffer!

So we are suppossed to load between each round? I couldn't remember what Simeons said about that even tho I read him just this week. I highlighted the good stuff, next time I will mark the parts neccesary to be re-read now and then.

Well I will just hope for the best with the extra skin. It should be easier to hide than fat.

I read some book years ago where the woman had lost well over 100 lbs and she said it took two years but her flabbiness eventually tightened up on its own.

I'm looking forward to some energy, I've been so listless and uninspired for so long.

Yes you do. It takes a few days for the HCG to start to have the ability to release the abnormal fat and if you do not have recently added dietary fat added....Eating the VLCD, your body will take from your normal fat deposits and that is NOT what you want to do. Hope this helps.

That girl Marie was so inspiring. Her body looked exactly like mine did for many, many years- now it looks worse. She just seemed so simular to a younger me when my kids were that age- wow.

I have to search for more progress pics while I'm at home. Usually I'm reading from work and all pictures are blocked.
