You actually load while taking the hcg. Not before. I always make sure that I eat things that I am going to miss - like Mexican food, cheese, ranch dressing, cheese, bananas, cheese, etc. And yes I really miss cheese when doing the protocol. It is the first thing that I add back in starting in P3!

Well I will just hope for the best with the extra skin. It should be easier to hide than fat.

I read some book years ago where the woman had lost well over 100 lbs and she said it took two years but her flabbiness eventually tightened up on its own.

I'm looking forward to some energy, I've been so listless and uninspired for so long.

Yes, you need to load before each round unless you are doing an interruption. For an interruption of less than 14 days, you just restart the hcg and the VLCD. For an interruption of more than 14 days but less than 21 days, you restart the hcg and eat normal for 2 days before resuming the VLCD. An interruption of more than 21 days isn't an interruption, it's a new round and you load for 2 days just like you would for any other round.

As far as loose skin, I have been on the protocol for just over a year and have completed 4 rounds. On R4P3 starting tomorrow. I have lost 13 inches at my naval, 11.5 inches from my waist, 10 inches from my hips, 3.5 inches from my upper arms and 7 inches off the tops of my thighs. I don't have any sagging skin. This doesn't mean I don't have a belly roll still or that I don't have bat wings, but it does mean that my skin is shrinking right along with my fat! I will start working out in 4 weeks (after I finish P3 and go on vacation for a long weekend!) and will start toning up my bat wings and other parts. The muscle will not tone on it's own and if you arm muscles are flabby, your bat wings will still be there (just not at fat as before!). I plan on doing The Bar Method DVDs. I started them before this round but stopped making time each night! I hope to be much better toned by Christmas time! HTH!

Lindy, thanks you have done great!

I'll have to look into the Bar method DVDs, I never heard of that.
I've never been good at exercising or keeping up a routine, maybe when there is less of me shakin' and quakin' I can.

Yes, the hcg is safe for men too. We have had a couple of guys on here last year and they did really well. We would love to have a male's point of view around here!! Ask any questions you have and we will try and help!!

I am assuming hcg must be obtained through my doctor. How do I get started?

FIrst you read here all about the plan. And no, no doctor needed---IF you want to do it homeopathically. Most mainstream doctors don't know anything about hcg, unless you are talking about taking it for fertility!! I used the homeopathic hcg and that requires no prescription. I suggest you start off with reading Pounds and Inches by the good doc Dr A Simeons. A good google search will bring it up!! It should also bring up some sights where you can buy the hcg. Good luck!! PS. One of the men on here last year has lost 100 pounds on the homeopathic hcg. We nicknamed him "Slim"--but I have forgotten his username. But he was a regular poster last summer.

Slims username on this forum is dlkin91. You can use the search at the top of this thread (the one in the line with the User Control Panel) to find his posts. When you click on search, go to Advanced Search and there is a place to type in his username. Once you find the threads that he has posted in, you will have to do the same thing again to find his specific posts in that thread. Only difference is this time you will need to use the Search This Thread option. HTH!
