woohoo! Congrats on the release!

LaLa, how's your day going? Here's the steak marinade recipe I adore

This is now my staple marinade that I converted from my favorite marinade on allrecipes.com

1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup water
4 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
2 tsp. Braggs amino acids
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper

I just put this all into a widemouthed water bottle, shake it up and keep it on hand. I'm overnight marinating my steaks to let them soften up and they are delicious for lunchtime I add some to my spinach when I sautee it as well. The original recipe calls for lime juice, soy sauce and oil but I think this way tastes just fine and its less calories as well so I'll be using this for now on.

ETA: this recipe makes enough marinade for 2 lbs of meat. I just take a frozen piece of beef, put it in a bowl, pour the marinade over it and let it marinate all night, then flip, then grill for lunch

A 'guest' ..whats that?

LaLa thanks you so much for the marinade recipee. We dont have al the ingrediants right now but as soon as we run out of some of the things we will right now we will definatley pick them up.

I have found a new FAVORITE meal.

100 grams small shrimp
bit of minced garlic
good squeeze of lemon
bit of salt n pepper
150 grams spinish
1 red/green apples with stevia and cinnomon in micowave.

I take the spinish, shrimp and spices and put it on the George for a few minutes and WoooLaaa. I love it ! I had it 2 times yesterday. Although, I only lost .6 as of this morning... Hmmm I tried to fiqure out ******..but still need a bit more time to figure it out. I SURE hope its not more than 250 calories. I have already had my chili taken away from me

Didnt think bout doing it in a pan..good idea. I like the grilled flavor of the shrimp. I do however put Olive oil pam on the grill..cause the first batch stuck and was a big mess. I heard Pam was okay..? Used the olive oil kind cause thats what I had in the cubboard.. Hope thats okay..if not I will do it in a pan lke you. Also the first time I made it I used 100grams of spinash and felt it wasent enough...so I uped it to 150-170grams..think thats okay? How much do you use?

I was looking threw the other thread and I there was SOOOO much to read..I couldnt find you stats's for the day...Hope things went well. Your definatley a star in my eyes.

I sure hope Sunny comes back..sure would hate to loose one of the Vegas Ladies.

LaLa, water is my bff! The last week it is all I've had besides a cup of black coffee daily at my beloved Tilly's It's amazing what it does for your body and skin. I'm loving it!

Congrats on figuring out that you need that to complete your weightloss equation. I'm glad its all coming together for you and Lorrie and you're both on the losing train Hope you're having a great day! It's hot here (surprise! lol) and I'm going to hit the 99 cents store for some produce finds and weird odds and ends that entertain me I love getting little things that make me happy. I got the coolest chopsticks with little holders that make them easy to use since I'm uncoordinated with them and stuff like that. Ok, that's my big day! You ladies stay out of the heat and stay on track

I had asked you a few lil questions about the spinach n shrimp meal that we both like a few posts up.. Dont know if ya saw it...

I have had a slow lose the last few days (.6 and .3 ) the only thing I have changed in my meal planing is adding the shrimp n spinach meal with a baked apple. Do ya think its to many cal's ( above 250 ) Me and ****** are not good frinds so I cant figure it out. Maybe its the olive oil Pam..? too much spinach?

Yeah, I meant to post to you about that. The spinach is great! Enjoy all you want! Skip the Pam. I've used wine vinegar on my gf grill to get a little steam action in there to prevent sticking. Maybe give that a try? I'd get the meat going, add the spinach and a splash of the vinegar then close it up and the spinach should cook quickly. Yummmm. I love veggies on the gf grill. Haven't done that in awhile. Maybe next week on P3 with some mushrooms.

Congrats on your loss!

When you say enjoy it All I want..does that mean 150-175 grams are okay? (or more..?) I cooked my last batch of spinach in a pot like you then added the george forman grilled shrimp..it tasted exactly the same..so now I dont have to worry bout the pam.

I eat as much of the veggies as I'm in the mood for. YMMV. Of course, I can eat a can of tomatoes too I'm lucky! So, while I might be able to have a whole bag if I want (I've never had a whole bag but I've come close! lol) YMMV. Do you use ******? do you have the calories available? I adore spinach. Do you have Safeway there? If you do check and see if it is on sale there. It is on sale her for 99 cents a bag this week so I stocked up.

****** and I are not good friends...I 'think' I remember when I 'tried' it they said that 100grams of spinach was 80 calories..dunno. Think I will try it again. I irritates me that I cant concure ******. I'm not as computer savey as I'd like.

On ****** I customized my food so they reflect what the packaging says because it can be dramatically different depending on what item you select. Makes me crazy. Once you add them you can go to your customized foodlist and just add it to your daily menus, so it's speedy once you add the items. Here's what my bag of spinach says:
Serving size 2 3/4 cups = 85 gms = 20 calories So, there's a big example of ****** being incorrect. A whole bag (10 oz, 283 gms) = around 60 calories according to my package.

I really want to try the spinach "chips", but I don't see anybody talk about those. Any reason? I might try them today unless someone says "NO! not on Protocol!"

I've never heard of spinach chips, but have Kale chips. I've never made them, but want to try them. I wonder how they would taste dipped in guacamole. I'm looking for something chip like to sip in it. Veggie sticks just don't sounds that great. Really, the only thing that sounds good is a tortilla chip.

The TJ flax chips are good but not P3 friendly I've made the kale chips. They are so leafy they melt in your mouth so no endurance for dip and I got over them quickly. I just HAD to make them after reading about them Do you like porkrinds?

Hey, where's our Vegas crew? Ladies, time to wake up and POST!

Yes, pork rinds! For some reason, I always forget about them. That would work really well.

Yes, probably like kale chips(Inever made those either). I made them yesterday. It's just spinach leaves placed on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle LIGHTLY w/ salt. Bake 5-7 min. @ 350. They were okay, same as kale chips, just melt in your mouth so not dippable. But just a different taste treat. I like to make my vegie both cooked and raw at each meal so it feels like I am eating two different things. Just me, I need variety
