Had to change my menu a bit. I made Biz's shake and I could only drink 1/2 of it and only cuz it's all I brought w/ me to run errands. So for the rest of lunch I am taking 1/2 the spinach amount and adding 1/2 the CC amount (w/ a bit of Franks sauce mixed in) over it for dressing, then having 1/2 the strawberries for dessert. I must say the shake kept my tummy satisfied, but either I did something wrong or it just isn't my cup of tea

What is Biz's shake? I tried the strawberry spinach one and I thought I would love it, but I must have done something wrong...My recipe said 3 oz of spinach and that's like 3 huge handfuls....almost the whole bag..maybe it was too much, but I weight it....don't know..suggestions?

I like the shakes but I add sf davincis and maybe that helps cover the spinach? I don't taste it in mine. I've made them with peeled cucumber too and that worked nicely.

The ginger one is one that Dawn posted by Biz, I believe. Let me find it and I'll come back and edit this post. brb.
Try this on your salad: (it's awesome)

Biz's Asian Dressing and/or meat marinade
2 Tablespoons fresh minced Ginger
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup Bragg's aminos
2 pk stevia

Mix all together, can be used as a meat marinate or salad dressing.

MMMMM that sounds yummy! Is the Bragg's AA better than soy sauce because it's less sodium or the soy thing?

Today's menu-

B-coffee, melba, apple
L-1 egg, 3 whites sauteed w/ a handful of spinach, spinach salad w/ mustard, lime, cilantro dressing
S-iced coffee w/ 1 T. milk, melba, apple
D-grilled halibut (probably w/ just lemon and dill) sauteed cabbage (in water, garlic, onion powder, salt)

Shake with strawberries and spinach.
Water to the umpteenth degree!

Thanks WW. I've only JUST added the melba's and the losses are the same. I kicked TOM out yesterday. Hoping that will help and Bernice is helping me along today. I've only had two tiny visits in two weeks. I know we are eating less, but not THAT much less, yanno?

Yep, that's the shake. I kinda cheat and add a tiny bit more of the cocoa and it is yummy.

today: B - coffee, apple
L - steak and lettuce (will try the dressing above) thanks!
D - chicken and cabbage
S - strawberries

- for some reason I always need a snack after dinner (habit I guess) I cannot eat the melba or grissini as I have no wheat. gluten, rye, etc..bummer!

I am the first menu of the day...hmmm...what shall I have????

B-coffee, melba, apple
L-chic/celery soup w/ a side of raw celery
S-melba, apple, iced coffee or tea w/ 1T. milk
D-boiled radishes w/ sirloin (marinated in water, liquid smoke, fresh rosemary, salt, garlic, onion powder)

BTW-I occasionally have a glass of "wine". I put a T. of ACV in a wine glass, add water to almost full and a few ice cubes. Helps, but I sure miss my wine!

I know what's NOT on my menu for today....Diet Pepsi!!! This is the first time in probably 30 years that I haven't started my day by stumbling to the refrigerator to pop open that Diet Pepsi!! It's a very weird feeling, and I'm sure there's some Tylenol in my future today, but I'm really motivated to stay with it!!!

From another site:
Yummy Pancakes :-)
I adapted a well known Low Carb pancake recipe to make some super Yummy and satisfying pancakes. Here is the recipe:

Protein Powder Pancakes
1 egg
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 teasp baking powder
1/2 t vanilla flavor
sweetener to taste as desired -
mix/blend well.
add water until it gets to looks like pancake batter consistency

Spoon onto frypan. I lightly dusted a nonstick frypan with butter buds & flipped them.
The syrup I use is DaVincis 0 calorie/0carb.
makes 5 pancakes at 40 calories a pop & 6 grams protein each - but yours may vary based on which protein powder you use.

If you are not comfortable with using protein powder, I believe you will get the same great pancake results by using cottage cheese (might smooth it in a blender before adding to the egg mix....)

I have only tried with the Whey and not the cottage cheese.

Just a word of caution----remember I am a rules follower when it comes to the original P2, so I would caution against doing this in P2!!!!! Protein powder is NOT P2 friendly. It is not on the approved P2 foods list. If you are going to make these just beware!! You may not be able to lose and be stable in P3.

AND if you mix eggs and cottage cheese, then that is mixing proteins another rule that is not allowed in P2!!!!!!

Thanks Dawn! I can't believe i've made it this far into the day without any!! I haven't even had to have any tylenol yet either, which is very strange. I'm very thankful though, I'll take all the help I can get!! I've had 3 32 oz jugs of water so far, but it's only 1:15 here, so I'm sure I'll get at least 3 more in before the day is over!

Gosh, I used to make something like these years ago when I first started lc'g. I wouldn't eat them on P2 because I try to stick to the original protocol and I'm very stingy with what I spend my calories on and 200 would be high for one item but I'll definitely try them in P3! Thanks!

I wonder dried eggwhites would be in this? Hmm. I know its a little inventive but it might work. If I had some here I'd give it a try but I don't. Might be interesting.
