Oh wow!! I use a whole onion. If I have small onions, I use them. If I have larger ones I still use a whole one. What else was on your menu?? Have you had trouble with onions before? I put my whole menu in ****** and I was at 488 calories for the day! Right on target.

Menu for 8/27/10 I was up a lb. this morning so maybe someone could point out something for me...
B-coffee, 1/2 c. vegie broth (from sauteed cabbage the day before) 1 melba S-apple L-chili (I ate 1/2 around 2:00 and the other 1/2 around 3:30) S-melba, 2 strawberries D-3.5 sirloin (marinated in water mixed w/ liquid smoke, rosemary, garlic) on top of 1 whole onion (sauteed in water, LS, garlic) S-2 more strawberries May be the cabbage broth, I didn't think it would be considered mixing since it's just the left over water from sauteeing. But maybe ya'll will tell me differently ![]() Today's menu I plan to eat (but may change)- B-coffee, melba 1/2 Biz's shake L-1/2 Biz's shake S-apple, melba, iced coffee w/ 1 T. milk D-3.5 oz. chic. (maybe sirloin) w/ boiled radishes Loving reading all the menues!!

Sorry, I posted my menu after I posted my concern. I haven't used onions before, but boy, it was YUM with the steak and I want to be able to do it again. Tell me what you think of my menu, in the mean time I'll plug everything in the ****** and see. I really want to try to just follow Protocol and not count cals (like you do). |

OH, I just started ****** my last P3 and was curious to see what numbers I was using. I started this round because I wanted to use the weight chart on it, really. And I was curious to how I was calorie wise. It gives me something to do during the day too!! LOL. Your problem could be you had beef 2 times in one day. I would switch up the proteins at each meal. When you have the chili try crab meat (very very low in calories) or fish or shrimp----something more low cal. Yesterday my fish was so low cal, that is why I think I got the drop I did! Even WW states that on days she has steak or beef she tries to have a lighter in calorie meal at dinner. Try that today and see what happens. Also drink more water.

The other thing in your menu---did you use onions in your chili and than have them again for dinner??? I would switch up the veggies at each meal too. If you are having onions for lunch then use asparagus for dinner (or some other veggie). Last edited by dawnyama; 08-28-2010 at 06:37 AM.. |

Dawn, how did you cook your flounder? I have a big bag of it in the freezer. I poached Talipa in tomatoes and it turned out pretty good, I guess the same way would work for flounder?
Menu yesterday: Lunch: HB patty, onion, sliced fresh from the garden tomato , mustardDinner: Cottage Cheese, sliced fresh from the garden tomato ![]() Snack: 1/2 grapefruit with sea salt Down another lb to 128. ![]() |

I broil them. I sprinkle some crab boil seasoning I found on clearance at Wal-Mart. Makes them quite tasty!! And I usually use tilapia, but thought this round I would take the plunge and try a different kind of fish! Still got it buy one get one free--and it is wild caught too!!! Not farmed fish! Yeah!!!

Thanks Dawn. The only way I've ever eaten flounder is stuffed. I'm going to look for some crab boil today and try your way, it sounds good.

Walkingwoman's Marinade 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/3 cup water 4 cloves garlic, crushed or minced 2 tsp. Braggs amino acids 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp. black pepper I just put this all into a widemouthed water bottle, shake it up and keep it on hand. I'm overnight marinating my steaks to let them soften up and they are delicious for lunchtime I add some to my spinach when I sautee it as well. The original recipe calls for lime juice, soy sauce and oil but I think this way tastes just fine and its less calories as well so I'll be using this for now on. ETA: this recipe makes enough marinade for 2 lbs of meat. I just take a frozen piece of beef, put it in a bowl, pour the marinade over it and let it marinate all night, then flip, then grill for lunch

B: coffee with milk
L: chicken breast grilled, whole cucumber, apple with splenda/cinnamin, 1 melba round D: grilled shrimp, asparagus, 1 melba round, strawberries I drink water like crazy and this is a typical menu. I should be losing right? Really praying that TOM is gone today and I'll drop a 'normal' amount tonight. I've checked all of my personal cleansers, soaps, etc. and there are no oils in there. I'm not drinking anything off protocol. All of my spices, etc are on protocol. I am at the weight I stayed at or around for years, so maybe my body is just fighting it? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be back down here, but I only lost 1.2 pounds this week and 1.75". I wonder if I take an interruption for a week, then jump back in if that would help. If so, do you start counting your round at the VLCD day that you left off at and are still limited to the 40 days? I'm doing hhcg. ![]()

Cheryl, your menus look perfect. I wonder if tom is the culprit?? must be?? any chance you are sensitive to the melba? it's such a small amount and so low in cals though?? I don't do melbas because I have no portion control over foods like them
and they taunted me from my pantry![]() I'm making lettuce wraps with chicken breast, and apples Shake with strawberries and spinach. Water to the umpteenth degree! Oh, and early to bed tonight. Music and lyrics is on Oxygen ![]() |
