Thanks for posting that Dawn. That is awesome! I'm excited to have smoothies again.

Question for you....Did I hear right that she said she has 2 a day AND dinner?
I thought that 3 ounces of CC was one serving of protein. So wouldn't she be eating 3 servings of protein if she had her dinner also?

I can't wait to try this!

Yup!! She said 2 of these plus!! I loved it while I was working on the weekends. I would go in at 7AM and not get off until 2. I would bring 2 of these (1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch) and still be able to eat my protein and veggie at dinner. On these days I would cut out my 2 melbas and 2nd fruit. What a nice change!!! I actually lost really well doing this!!!

Was she talking about 1 glass full or 1 blender full as being one serving? I so want to try it!

For those who made the burgers, sorry they didn't turn out that great. Mine turned out fine for me - not like a good ol' fashioned cheeseburger, that's for sure, but for this protocol, it was good enough to satisfy me. I like a lot of onion flavor so I put quite a bit of dried onion flakes in my burgers and I use the garlic melba or garlic grissini (crushed up) plus the cumin gives it a kick. I've been having a burger every other day now - I need to try the mini sliders with the cucumbers!

Today I made a new recipe I'm naming Italian Meatball Soup. It was great.

Ground Beef
Tomato Sauce (no sugar or starch)
Garlic Clove; minced
Italian Seasonings
Dried Onion Flakes
Onion Powder
Salt & Pepper
Water

In a saucepan bring 1 cup of water to a boil, add garlic + dried onion flakes. Let boil for a minute and then add your tomato sauce + seasonings. Bring to a boil, add about 1/2 cup of water and then let simmer while you prepare the meatballs.

Mix your ground beef with a little salt and pepper and dried onion. Roll into mini meatballs and carefully place into the pot of tomato sauce. Continue cooking until the meatballs are done (don't move around too much until they are cooked or they may break apart) and the sauce is on the thicker soup side. Be sure to taste the "soup" at this point to be sure your seasoning is good. Add more if needed.

Enjoy with a garlic grissini or garlic melba toast.

I also had an apple earlier today.
Dinner will probably be eggs - boring, but I didn't take anything else out to eat. I think I'm going to check out the onion soup recipe and maybe have that as well. I'm on a big soup kick because they fill me up the best on this protocol.

That whole blender full of smoothie was one serving?! I'm going to have to give that a try....the green color may be hard to do at first though but if it tastes like chocolate I'm sure I can deal

Um, mine was a yucky brown when all was said and done. Very icky looking, but very tasty.....after I adjusted to 3 pkt of Splenda. I use the special dark cocoa which I think needs more sweetening. But yes, 1 serving is :

3 oz cottage cheese
1 TBL cocoa
5 oz strawberries
a bit of water
3 oz of spinach
2 pkts of sweetener

When I wanted to bring 2 of these to work I would make up 2 blenders full!!

I guess. While on P2 I was never really that hungry. So it didn't matter to me much about filling. But the good thing is you can have 2!!

I am going to try the blender smoothie today. I won't be able to have a sit down meal at home this evening and I think this should travel well. Insert straw and go.

Brenda, I tried it last night and it was da bomb!

She looks fantastic too. She's lost over 100 pounds.

ETA: It was filling enough for me. I seem to not be as hungry in the evenings. I had it around 7:30pm and went to bed at 10pm. It kept me satisfied.

Question

Hey ladies, I have a question. I love asparagus but really don't know how to cook it. I love it roasted, and kind of crunchy, how do I know when it is over cooked. Better yet, how do I cook it correctly?

That shake sounds good. I've made them doing WW's and used some sf davinicis in place of the water/sweetner for added flavor. Yummy. I used banana davinicis for a strawberry banana shake. I may have to make one of those tomorrow.

I put mine on the grill in foil while I grill my steak. I just cook them the same time as my steak (a few minutes each side) and they come out great.

Ok, after reading about the shakes again this morning, I think I'm going to do an all shakes day today! Why not! Maybe it will encourage a release again tonight!

So, R1P2VLCD30:
Shake with lowfast cottage cheese, spinach, strawberries, ice and sf davincis
Shake with lowfat cottage cheese, spinach, orange? (do I dare?) ice, and sf davincis

Made a French Onion Meatball Soup for lunch. Apple for a snack. Dinner will be my version of chicken parmesan (sp?) without the cheese lol

Some of my recipes are super similar but I like giving them new names if I change up one thing, then I feel like I'm not having the same thing every day

The sauce for the chicken dish tonight will be the same as last night's meatball soup, just not as thin, and I'm going to use chunks of chicken that I bread with crushed up melba, dry fry it in a skillet and then cook them in the sauce. We'll see how it turns out.

I buy lean chuck steaks that are labeled mock tenderloins. Love them. They are thick so they aren't very big on your plate but sliced thin and grilled rare = true love I eat these almost everyday.

I've been making mine on the grill the last few days. I use one of those kebab holders that you use to not use the skewerss. It is a long cylinder that you open and you can rotate it easily. They roast really nicely this way. Let me see if I can find a pic of the holder thingy. brb.

I did these last night and I love that marinade! However, DH got a really grisly piece and couldn't chew it. I felt bad. Mine was yummy.

Just Baja Bob's sf marg mix and club soda with ice blended

I'm eating my lunch now as I read. I'm having chopped romaine tossed with lemon juice and sea salt, grilled steak sliced thin and sliced apples In the salad mood today for some reason so I hit a nice salad bar to get just the right amount of greens and not waste a whole thing. Would have been cheaper to toss teh extras but oh well. Dinner is going to be the cucumber apple shake I planned for yesterday. The cinnamon davincis really took to the cucumbers.

I'm having cottage cheese with spinach and sea salt and I cooked it so the cottage cheese got kind of creamy and bubbly. I love this. I pray it doesn't make me stall! LOL It seems like some yummy Italian dish with 2 Kavli pesto crackers on the side. YUM.
