Yesterday's menu-
B-coffee, few cucs, broth S-1 cuc sliced L-chic/romaine ribs soup (sounds weird, but good) D-chic on bed of lettuce (dressing was a bit of homemade broth mixed w/ spicey mustard, splash of lime juice and liquid smoke, garlic and onion powder) Just in case you're wondering...I like the leaf part of the romaine for salad, but not alot of the rib. I chop the rib (like celery) and cook it in my soup. And I guess I never post this but I do get in at least 64 oz. water a day.

It's finally vlcd1!!
Breakfast: black coffee with English toffee stevia Lunch: hamburger patty (seasoned with dehydrated onion, garlic, and herbs for filler), sautéed spinach, grissini Snack: apple Dinner: P2 chili, grissini Snack: sliced strawberries with stevia I don't normally do beef twice, I just don't have any chicken thawed out. Also, I remember how hungry I was the first day of round 1. Beef fills me up better, so hopefully this will be easier. |

The first time I had one, I didn't lose. Was brave enough to try one yesterday, and I gained 0.5 this morning.There were other factors that could have come into play (first time-ovulation, second time-a faster walk than usual), but I think I'm just going to be on the safe side and not have them. In fact, I think I'll just stay away from cottage cheese. So, my kids are having cottage cheese for breakfast today. |

No mixing veggies on P2. SO if you want a salad you have to chose one of those veggies--either the lettuce, or the spinach. We don't mix veggies on P2!!

Dawn, I only had one shake each time. So would that still be 2 fruits? The first time, I had it at lunch and skipped my grissini. Yesterday I had it at dinner and felt like I still needed something, so I had a melba toast instead of my grissini.
I sure hope you get feeling better soon. It's no fun to be sick, but I really can't imagine it while on P2. Wishing you good health! |

[QUOTE=Mindfulness;13938902]
Lunch: hamburger patty (seasoned with dehydrated onion, garlic, and herbs for filler), sautéed spinach, grissini QUOTE] Seriously, this has to be my most favorite P2 meal. I could eat it everyday. 100 gm 96% ground beef (little rolls found at Walmart) dehydrated minced onion sea salt and this stuff(found at Sam's club): tn-roasted-garlic-herb.jpg I mix all of the above together and make into a patty. Cook it in a cast iron skillet adding water when needed. Then when burger is done, remove it, add a little water and a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice and saute baby spinach in that. (adding more Weber Roasted garlic and herb) Pour everything (juice and all) into a bowl. I even drink the juice, it's so good. Yum. Everybody needs to try this. |

Crap! I've already made all my salads for the week. I also bought a salad with mixed lettuces...is that ok to use? And just lettuce...no cucumber and tomato in the salad?

I am sorry. But he clearly states in P&I not to mix the veggies!! I think a variety of lettuces would be OK, but when I eat lettuce I just buy the bagged ones of one variety. Either a bag of romaine, or the iceburg. No cucumbers or tomato on the salad. When I end up eating out on p2 I eat just the lettuce--either I ask for just lettuce or pick around the tomato and cucumber (giving it to DH or taking it home in a box) they give me.

I'm down a pound from yesterday and think it helps to do the HCG or my LC would have slowed down more, I'm guessing. After a full week, I'm minus 6.8, but my gallbladder is acting up a bit and I'll be really disappointed if I have to stop doing this. I like than the plan allows an apple per day and that helped yesterday. Apples help the GB relax. It's sad that I think I haven't lost much, but I have so far to go. I have to remind myself it's been a long time since I've been this low. I looked back in my little calendar to Jan10 and only in June have I been 2lbs higher than today as the closest wt. I've been playing from 222 to 228 all year, most around 227.x. I was excited to see the scale today first stop at 218 before going to 220.6 this morning. I'm not doing the HCG diet exactly has planned. I have to have bkfst. I had one egg and one egg white this morning topped with nuked unsweetened raspberries and stirred in LF cottage cheese into it. I think I will have to tweak it if my GB gives me issues. I'd rather try that before just giving it up. So far after two full days on HCG, day 1 was -1.2 and day 2 was -1.0. I think I have get some more supplements, like potassium. Are there others as well suggested? I need go search this info. Anyone know if a multi vitamin has enough potassium in it or if it should be taken more than once/day?

Dawn is there any SB frozen type drinks that M would be able to get while in P3? She has been asking me in case they go try to go to Starbucks after her dance. She has always liked the frozen mocha cappachino one I think, is there a good substitute she could order?

The frappuccino that would be most P3 friendly is a sugar free caramel light--and you can ask for that breve. My co-worker, Katie, and I think that breve frapps are very tasty--and they are low carb friendly too!! Putting the sugar free caramel syrup in there and making the frapp light would make it low cal and most P3 friendly. Just be sure to ask for no whipped cream AND no caramel sauce. If she likes any other sugar free syrups that we have (hazelnut, vanilla, cinnamon dulce) she can have that syrup in place of the SF caramel.
