WOE: one day at a time!! LC!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
I just tasted the boiled radishes, added some garlic salt and pepper and they're yummy!! Very much like the cauliflower I make for fauz potatos. Yeah!! I hope they do well with my loss, 'cause I just grated some and will make the "fried rice" for dinner instead, and take the mashed rads to work tomorrow Thanks for sharing your ideas here, you guys are the best!!

WW-I'm gonna' try that tarragon mustard sauce. I bet it would be good on chicken, or even steak. I have some london broil marinating, but I think it got frozen in my fridge. That bottom drawer when set to "meat" tends to freeze. Oh well, the meat keeps longer at least

Another find, I just had a Zevia cola. It was delicious and filled me up a lot!! Very happy!!

I'm still dosing 6 times a day, and think I will stick with it now. I've gotten the hang of it, and am doing okay with it. If I do another round, I think I will do the 3 doses a day!

I get my prepared meals tomorrow afternoon too. Very excited to try some other things. I can't even remember what I ordered, but know there were meatballs in there. LOL!

Have a great night!

I think I will try them fried with eggs n bacon once on P3. That way I can have my eggs over medium and pretend I have potatoes. The idea of garlic mashed radishes sounds like a good idea too.

Guess this is RADISH week.
How many do you eat as a serving? On one sheet I saw a serving for radishes is two cups? Does that sound about right to you?

TLH you've been eating cauliflower on P2? Just thought I'd let you know it isn't protocol Obviously hasn't held you back but wonder if you had some on day 6 that impacted day 7 weigh in?

Julie, if you will be so kind, will you share what you ended up buying after you pick it up? I'd love to know the name of the place too. As much as I love cooking it might be just what I need to stay on track for a few more weeks while I wait out my last few pounds releasing

I would say I ate 9 or 10 of them..cut into halfs and fourth's it took up alot of room on my plate. Along with my tilapia it was a full plate...I had to put my orange in a sepatate bowl. I'm sure is a mental thing but I like full plates. I think I will use seasoned water as others have suggested next time..as this time I just used plain water.

I cooked up 5 bundles ate once and put them in the fridge and they warmed up well in the microwave today. Which is good because 45 min in the kitchen everytime I want radishes is too long for me...to many of the kids goodies in there for me I like the fact that my meals only that a few minutes to prepair. Good thing my daughter knows how to cook for herself..cause I only spend about 20 minutes a day in the kitchen now a days

I just had a really yummy granita. Here's what I did. I took a lemon and grated the skin, skinned half of a cucumber and chopped it up and put it in lemon drop Cascade Ice water, added a pkt of splenda and some fresh squeezed lemon juice to taste. Let it all sit in the fridge, then pulsed it in my food processor, poured it in a shall container and put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes, then used a large fork to sort of shred it, put it back in the freezer for 15 and shredded it again. So, for dinner I made a grilled chicken breast, used a whole cucumber between my side and my dessert dish and now I still have another fruit if I want one. I'm digging the granita idea. Hmm..wonder how it would be with some flavored coffee? Bet it would be delish

I could be mistaken but I think that the P2 chili is concidered your protein and veggie..cause of the tomatoes. So there wouldnt be another allowed in that meal.

My girlfriend is starting in a few days..today she asked me about porkchops and I told her 'no'...are they allowed? If so, I have been missing out

Stepping on the scale before bed is a bad idea. I personally NEVER get on the scale before bed. It can be a total bummer to your self esteam.. Especially if you know you have stuck to protical all day and the scale shows a big jump up. All that water is bound to do that.

Thanks Lorrie! Someone (I don't remember who) said that the tomato can be substituted as a fruit but I will keep that in mind if the scale doesn't come down tomorrow. About the pork chop, hmmm, you know what, I may have screwed up big time today. I think of pork chop as "the other white meat" thinking it is lean. I bought center cut with no fat on it. That is a good question though, we will have to see what the others say tomorrow.'

It definitely was a bad idea getting on the scale that late at night. I might have to start putting it away after weighing.

Your SO correct!! Tomatoes Can be sub'ed for your fruit.
I hope the others chim in and say that the porkchops are okay. Funny how you said that it is the 'other white meat' as that is what my girlfriend said. When I think back..I cant remember porkchops being in anyones menu..Hmmm

Shows we pay attention to our commercials on tv. I just looked up the nutritional stat for a center cut pork chop and the calories are 235 for a 4 oz. so I am thinking you are right and it shouldn't have been eaten. I am learning something new every day.

Logging out for the night, have a good one!

Stayed the same this morning. I think it was lack of water yesterday that did it. Gonna really push that today.

I say pork chops are NOT OK. They are NOT on the list that Simeon's gave out. I ate them once on my very first round until it was pointed out that they are definitely NOT protocol. I saved it for my P3.

This morning I had "chocolate" cottage cheese (4oz of CC, a Splenda packet and a bit of cocoa powder) that I used as a dip for my apple slices. Two very enthusiastic ! Dinner is probably going to be another tomato and spinach omelet, I've got to get rid of my spinach plus MAN was that good! I may spice it up this time with some Frank's Red Hot, we'll see.

I did a repeat of the shrimp salad I had yesterday and am undecided about dinner Lots of fab protein choice and steamed asparagus and spinach are both available at the restaurant (for a small fortune ) I may partake in a vodka rocks. We shall see If I do, it will be after carefully deciding it will be worth it Just seems like going to a cool restaurant and not having one cocktail is almost lol. In any event, I will not have a sugary wine or a calorie/sugar loaded mixer. Can you say 'justification' ?

This morning was cottage cheese, tomatoes and apple slices (not all together ). Tonight though I've no idea what will be on my menu - the Dude informed me this morning he has an outbreak of gout as well as a kidney infection, so we're going to spend time figuring out what he can and can't eat then go shopping for that.
