Advice needed: VLCD 25 and my losses are slowing down...

This is my first round and had intended to do a long round. My weekly loss has been about 4 pounds pretty consistently, but this week I have lost just under 1.5 so far with just 2 days to go.

do you think I should move to p3? Just looking for some input.

It's my first round too and my losses have never been stellar. My avg. is 3 - 3.5 per week. I really want to see Onderland before starting p3 so I'm going to hold out. Hopefully it won't be longer than the 40 days!

I know that doesn't answer your question. Just wanted you to know you are not alone! Hopefully someone with experience will pop in and help guide you.

Do you want to move to p3 or are you willing to hang on and see what happens?

Thanks, it actually DOES help to know you are having similar results!

I am fine sticking with p2, but just wondered if I would be better off going to p3.

On the other hand, I am in a weight loss competition and it would benefit me to say on p2 for the full 40 day round. So, from that standpoint I should stay on. I stand to win about $300 if I do. (No one can touch these losses!)

But, for my long-term success I was wondering what everyone else would do.

OK...Reality check here....from the *newbie*!! Remember, I love you all!!

On *any* other program 3-4 lbs per week is a HUGE loss. On any other program 1.5 lbs per week is great. Unless you have hundreds of lbs to lose it is going to be harder to drop big numbers every week. Also the closer you get to your goal weight it will be harder. Your body takes breaks to readjust and then the weight loss will start again. My losses have been great, but I have a lot more to lose and today's 0.6 lbs loss is probably going to be a high loss for me on any given day from now going forward. Its reality. I am good with that...because it puts me that much closer to my goal. Also, are you measuring??? I think that is a more dramatic change than the number on the evil weighing machine. The tape measure is your friend!

I am personally not going to do long P2s. 23 days of injections is good for me and then I will move on...reset my body and stabilize through P3 and P4 and then do another round 6 weeks later. How you do it is a personal choice.

Are you both doing the hHCG or RX? I know you can go longer on the hHCG because you don't get the immunity to it. I am just looking forward to a salad again...

I know the losses are good relatively speaking. It's just that the losses are slowing and I was wondering if it's a sign I need to move to p3.

I am doing hhcg.

You have done enough days according to the Dr.'s protocol. You could do your last drops today and then 48 hours later move on. Do you want to move on to P3? I am looking forward to it!

You don't have to worry about the immunity to the HCG like I do so you could do a 40 day round if you wanted to. I could too, but 40 days of 500 cals and then worrying about whether the HCG will suddenly no longer be working is not something I personally want to deal with. So the decision was easy for me.

It really is different person to person I think.

BB-I didn't want to post to this....but since you know I moved on to P3 and then cycled back into P2 again,I thought WTH.(everyone already knows I'm crazy)
I'm on day 4 of P2 again and down 3.5 more lbs. but I FEEL sooo zonked. My body is just really wiped out after losing 23lbs in 25 days.I have stated all along I have skin issues and didn't consider that when deciding to do a longer P2.My skin is starting to break-down and I feel like crud.I need to be able to use a better facial moisturizer and my meds again.
I am seriously considering jumping back into P3-I talked to some of my Hcg support group(long-timers) and they said I probably should to avoid burn-out.
I'm very anxious by nature and just want to be at GOAL.Lol.but killing myself and making this a miserable process wont help me.For me,its time to move on.

It sure is! I have learned more and had it "stick" when I have given it a shot and not had it work out. Not trying when you think you want to will just leave you wondering "what if". KWIM?

Good luck in P3. I will be along shortly...thank goodness!! I want my veggies to be mingling again...and covered in lovely salad dressing.

MBB, I think you just need to take it day by day and you'll know what is right for you. Like Kim said, she went to P3, back to P2 and now realizes she needs to go back to P3. No shame in working the plan that works best for you. I'm one day behind you and have been tempted to go to P3 but I'm still losing pretty consistently. Not like I was, but nicely just the same. If (and its a big if) things continue I will be at my low goal weight in about 2 weeks, so I'm waiting it out and that will put me at 38 days with drops. I go around and around in my head but so far, I'm sticking it out. I like the easy routine of not deciding anything as far as food choices really. it's so simple. I would like to be able to eat out more but I think that is a learning process and I'll probably go out a few more times in this round but I will be very aware of my menu choices for any future outings.

Are you thinking more in terms of wanting more food flexibility or the impact on stabalizing once you've lost all the weight? I hope Deb comes in. She's done a few rounds and I'm sure she'll be able to offer you some great advice. Hang in there!

Don't get me wrong here, I am not complaining. I am very, very thankful to have found something that works for me. You have no idea how thankful I am!!!! Really. Heartfelt, tearful thankful.

I always lost weight pretty fast before but I am one of the slow losers on hhcg and I'm ok with that. I'm positive, I feel great and I'm losing weight. What do I have to complain about?

But, OTOH, I am far, far from goal. I was hoping for those rockstar losses that many of you seem to have. It's ok though. I am working what works for MY body. I'm in it for the long road.

MBB, do what works for you.

I'm ok with my food choices in p2, actually. I am more thinking of which would be better for losses - stay on p2 for a long round, or go to p3 now.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Hey, no judgement from me! We're all trying to figure out what works best for our bodies. I think you are making the right choice for you, fwiw. You're right - if you are miserable in p2 right now, you need to do this to avoid getting burnt out.

I am not at that point at all, so maybe I will stick to p2 for a few more days and see how it goes.

Might be well worth it.Didn't Paisley lose a lot in her last few days right after a pretty long stall?

Yes. I think she did some adjustments like lowering her dosage though.

Kim, I wanted to say no judgement from me either. Do what you need to do!

You never know unless you try it. It didn't work out, and you move on. No biggee. As long as what you are doing works for you and your long-term goal, that is all that really matters, not that you stuck to any "rules."

I was in the same spot MBB. I had lost 6.6 (1st week), 3.8 (2nd week), 5.0 (3rd week) and my 4th week I lost 0.4 lbs. I decided to move on even though I had been dead set on a 40 day round. I just got tired of seeing the same number on the scale everyday! A 40 day round would have fit in my schedule so much better, but I am now planning on cycling back to P2 in a week (after doing P3 for 2 weeks). I am stabilizing very well and it has been easy (until today when I went to the farmer's market and the sweet corn drew me in. I had purchased, cooked and eaten 3 ears before I thought it through. )

Yes, I will start R2P2 (hopefully) in 8 more days. I plan on doing one day of loading and then start. I really wanted to do a long round, but I think my body was telling me something.
