Anyone dye their hair on P2?

My roots are atrocious. I am planning a long round and don't know if I can wait that long.

Anyone have any experience? I don't know what they put in the dye. I would get it done professionally because home results don't work for my hair. It's too dry to begin with.

I can handle one loss day because of it, but any more than that - no.

I did! I didn't see a problem. And I will have to do it again in a week or so with the way my hair grows.

I did last week. I lost an avg of .5 each day last week so I'm saying it had no impact on my losses and I used the conditioner that came with it as well  Not sure if it had oil in it or not but I just went for it and hoped for the best.

I recently discovered henna and I it. No more expensive trips to the salon just for my roots, and my hair looks just as good or better. I do the roots about every 4-5 wks, and henna has a lot less chemicals than regular hair dye. The henna makes my hair so shiny and the color is great.

Thin, can you tell me more about henna? Is it a rinse or do you apply like hair color? Does it work for all hair colors? I guess I could google it, but any info you have would be great. I'm kinda cheap:blush: and hate my salon bill when that time comes!!

Sure, it's called Surya Henna Brasil Cream Hair Coloring & Hair Treatment. I use it in dark brown. I buy it online for 8 bucks and some change, and the reviews on it are great. Also, I have long, thick hair and one bottle lasts me 2 treatments! You can't beat $4 per color, when I used to pay $60!

ETA... forgot the best part, no chemicals!

hair dye

I dyed my hair and didn't have any stalls or slow downs! As far as the cosmetics or shampoo/conditioner, I just made sure my makeup was oil free and I bought shampoo&conditioner from the health food store (also oil-free).

After getting my hair dyed yesterday, I am down .2 today.

BUT, my hair came out BLACK. It's supposed to be dark brown. She used the level 4 like usual, not sure why it came out so dark this time. Ugh.

I'm sticking with it. There isn't much they can do to lighten it that won't damage my hair further, is there? My hair is dry and coarse to begin with.

I am getting compliments on it. Not sure if they just want to make me feel better about looking like Morticia or not though!

I'm sure it will just take some getting used to. I don't think I'd do anything to it unless you really, really don't like it. I bet it's a nice change. I'd like to go darker but haven't had the nerve to do it. Hmm. Maybe I will do that this fall.
