Why does water-loss slow?

I'm really curious why I'm not having as much water go through me as I did in the beginning. I drink as much (or more) as I did in the beginning but I'm not visiting the restroom as often. I've read that our bodies get used to the upped water intake but do we really retain that much water? It's just that I'm drinking nearly a gallon a day and don't feel as though I'm visiting the little girl's room as often as I'd expect.

The quick water loss happens when you lose the glycogen stores in your liver and muscles by low carbing. Once those stores are depleted, there is no more to lose until you eat carbs and bank more glycogen. Then you GAIN that same water weight back and can lose it at some future point by restricting carbs again.

I've noticed a slow down too. I think it also has to do with how quickly you are losing weight.

When it's coming off fast, seems like I have to go every single hour. I think the kidneys have to work pretty hard when the weight's coming off quick.

I was in ketosis before I started, so don't think it had much to do with that, other than the first day or two after loading.

I was LC before starting the HCG so I know what I've lost so far hasn't been water, but I'll sometimes drink nearly a gallon in a day and my body just holds it. I'm thinking it's in my fat cells and it'll come whooshing out eventually, it's just weird to me how much the body retains.

I read somewhere (where escapes me now) that when your fat cells are getting redistribute themselves they fill up with water to maintain their "space" in the body and they will eventually let go of the water...along with the fat. Sounds good to me! Bring it!
